WWE recently issued a Fan Council survey hinting at DVD/Blu-ray plans for 2016 such as “Hulk Hogan: Immortal”, “Greatest Rivalries: Eric Bischoff vs. Vince McMahon”, a Divas documentary and more. The company has now issued another DVD themed survey!

The list of more than 15 WWE DVDs under consideration includes Superstar themed match compilations – Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, The Usos, The Miz & Mizdow, and Stardust.

As for some of the other match comps, listed are: The Best of Superstars (covering the original 1986-1996 run), Hardcore (history of the Hardcore Championship from 1998-2002), Iron Man Matches, Unreleased Matches, and The History of the United States Championship.

A Divas biography popped up again and along with that is Total Divas Season 1.

The Best of NXT DVD was also an option for respondents to the survey, in addition to the year-end titles of The Best of RAW & SmackDown 2015 and Best PPV Matches 2015.

Which TWO of these potential WWE DVD projects would you most like to see released in 2016?

WWE’s new Jerry Lawler DVD will have a total runtime of approximately 7 hours and 6 minutes. The Blu-ray edition is slated to include just under 1 hour and 30 minutes of extra material on top, taking the total runtime of that version to approximately 8 hours and 35 minutes.

WWEDVD.co.uk revealed the clip below, previewing the Kerry Von Erich match on the set.

“It’s Good To Be The King: The Jerry Lawler Story” will hit stores across the United States next Tuesday! It follows to UK/Europe on May 25th and then to Australia on June 3rd.

Stardust? Goldust should get a documenary set.

As far as the list above, I’m intrigued by Shane Mcmahon (hopefully a doc), Divas Biography (assume it’ll profile divas much like Allied Powers profiled tag teams), Best of NXT (about time although I personally prefer whole show seasonal sets over Best of) and Unreleased Matches (to truly live p to that name, this set should feature matches from house shows, dark matches and matches from televised MSG events.)

  2. RabidHeat says:

The thing is, a 3-disc Iron Man Match DVD ANthology would have, erm…9 matches on it, lol. Just wouldn’t seem like that big a deal, despite each match being an hour long.

  3. RabidHeat says:

So the UK isn’t getting that Best of Sting DVD then? Great, first TNA DVD I had wanted in years and I can’t have it, lol.

  4. brian says:

  5. brian says:

i rather see a stephanie mcmahon dvd then shane mcmahon dvd

  6. Huul Gallows says:

I totally agree with Josh on every request! Box-sets (with documentaries):
    1.) Arn Anderson.
    2.) Demolition.
    3.) Owen Hart.
    4.) Rick Rude.
5.) History of the Tag Team Championships.
6.) History of the Hardcore Championship.
7.) History of the Womens Championship.
8.) History of the ECW Championship.
9.) History of the Cruiserweight Championship.
10.) History of the U.S. Championship.
11.) History / Best of the Battle Royals.
12.) Best of Iron Man Matches (WITH the 2004 Raw Benoit vs Triple H – at least with censored commentator audio).
    13.) Saturday Nights Main Event – Vol.2.
14.) WCW – Best of Halloween Havoc.
15.) Bam Bam Bigelow. (with documentary)
    16.) Kurt Angle. (with documentary)
    17.) Dudley Boys. (WITH documentary)
    18.) Eric Bischoff. (with documentary)
    19.) Scott Hall. (with documentary)
    20.) Terry Funk.

    • josh says:

Well thank you Huul Gallows, Finally someone that agrees with me. I’m glad there’s someone out there that’s interested in the same video subjects that I am.

      • josh says:

I sincerely hope that someone(s) from WWE is watching/listening/reading this. I really would like to see some or all of these videos get released.

  7. attitude.era.4life says:

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the foundation of nWo and the 15th anniversary of the Invasion angle could also be somehow projects to release for the wwe i 2016.

  8. josh says:

Why is nxt head in the survey? I still want to see a Arn Anderson dvd set, Demolition set, dvd sets on Owen Hart and Rick Rude. They should put out a dvd set on the history of tag team championships, both NWA/WCW and WWE(the original tag titles from the ’60’s, not the newest one from 2003).
I wish you could vote for more than just two, I’d like to see several of the titles listed. I’d like to see a divas documentary, I’d like to see a lot with Sable on the documentary, I’d like to see a best of Superstars, I’d like to see the episode with the Hogan/Earthquake feud where Hogan gets attacked by quake from behind. I would like to see a history of the U.S. title, and the best of ironman matches-I’d like to see the one from 2004 with Benoit vs. Triple h, but I’m sure they would never put that one on the set. I would like to see a Bischoff vs. Mcmahon set. I would also like to see a history/best of battle royal, I know they did a Royal Rumble anthology, but I’d still like a history/best of battle royal, I’d like to see some from WCW’s world war 3 where they had 3 rings and 60 guys.

  9. Dale says:

how has Miz and Mizdow got so little votes? it should be in the top 3, best thing ever

  10. INDYFAN says:

This type of rubbish like the Uso still got so many ppl want?

  11. AD Degreez says:

So I guess dudley boyz, raven vs dreamer and ecw omg are not happening. Maybe wwe is tired of ecw releases beating their current product…. Same for wcw aswell.

  12. attitude.era.4life says:

big time sucks, that Clearvision dropping the ball on TNA dvd production.. 🙁

when they first announced that they were taking over the production of that brand, they promised to bring back the complete back catalogue: 2002 and forward, which I was mainly interested in. Very disappointed..

    • Vintage Simon says:

Just because they won’t be selling TNA DVDs anymore, it doesn’t mean that Clear Vision “dropped the ball”. It’s purely a business decision. If the license was making them money, then they would’ve continued selling them.

I read from an ex-Silver Vision employee not too long ago that WWE sales had virtually ground to a halt prior to their contract ending in 2012 – especially for the B-level PPVs – so I can only imagine how bad DVD sales must be for the significantly less popular TNA product.

  13. attitude.era.4life says:

Shane O’ Mac and Iron Man anthology…pleeeease make it happen.

I always been a fan of the Shane charachter..hands down, the best non-wrestler wrestler…unquestionable much more entertaining than some so called top superstars.

I would love to have some commetaries tracks on this set (and everything else for that matter), like the King of the Ring 2001 extra, where Angle and O’Mac breaks down their epic street fight.

The Iron man anthology I also really love to see happen, there are some “forgotten” gems needed to be collected along with the obvious well-known classics, again, put on some commentaries tracks to break down these epic matches in new angles.

I would also vote for the Hardcore release and the US championship and maybe the Unreleased matches, but would like to hear more bout that first.

  14. R&REXPRESS#1 says:

Sorry guys, I apologize for stooping to that idiot’s level….it’s obvious that some people are just here to be a pain in the ass. Thank you.

  15. Vintage Simon says:

Voted for Best of Superstars and Unreleased Matches. I never saw a huge amount of the original Superstars run, but I’m sure there’s enough decent content on there to make it worthwhile. Unreleased matches could literally be anything, but hey, I’ll take it over having to see the Michaels/Ramon ladder match again.

The Shane McMahon set sounds good in theory, but thinking about it, I think the majority of his matches have already been released on other sets. Hardcore could be good, but only if they include proper, full-length matches (like RVD vs. The Undertaker, and Raven vs. Rhyno) as opposed to a whole series of comedy segments (involving Crash Holly and The Head Bangers).

  16. Attitudeerawasawful says:

Was a easy vote for me only 2 of the options instantly caught my attention. Divas Biography and Best Of Superstars. The Unreleased Matches could be good but (extremely vague) unreleased matches of who? what? when? where? why?

  17. R&REXPRESS#1 says:

F**k off “Bo”….it’s a**holes like u that ruin this website, everyone has & is entitled to their opinion so deal with it u little b**ch….u can stop being such a [REMOVED].

  18. RCS1988 says:

I voted for Best of Superstars & Unreleased Matches and I would hope Unreleased Matches would be dark matches from WWF/E & NWA/WCW TV tapings.

  19. SRB says:

    All the way?

  20. Lewis says:

nxt although think they should release the specials on dvd dont have an issue with a shane o mac dvd but only if he gets to talk canidly why he left instead of hearing from vince/steph iron man matches sounds ok but if you think about there only been 4 iron man matches in wwe and one of them involves benoit unless there are going to incude any that may have happened in other promotions or fcw 15 title matches

  21. Kenny says:

The SuperStars and NXT DVDs are my top two on here. Then is the U.S. Championship and the Unreleased idea. I think the Unreleased has some potential.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Total Divas on DVD, since that’s the trend with television, but I don’t know why WWE thought it was something it would poll its wrestling fans on.

Shane is cool, but I wouldn’t even be interested in a doc on him, let alone a match comp.

Iron Mans are already on DVD, I believe. We don’t need a “Best Of” with them.

Anything spotlighting the current crop of guys really doesn’t interest me. Although I had a perverse laugh at the idea of a Stardust video.

In that same breath, who thought a Miz/Mizdow DVD was a good idea?!?!

  22. Lemo says:

    NXT dvd all the way.

  23. Nicolas Hébert says:

The Best of Superstars 1986-1996 all the way!!! So many great moments on that show. I saw twice, first at noon on Saturday on CTV and on Sunday Morning on RDS in French!!! I hope that will be come true!!!

  24. Vincenzzzzzo says:

The Best of NXT and the Best of Superstars all the way.

  25. David says:

The Clearvision and TNA relationship sure didn’t last too long. Seems like since they lost the WWE license they have been struggling.

  26. R&REXPRESS#1 says:

I hope the “official” release lineup for 2016 is far better than this….seriously, who is voting for a Shane McMahon? Who would want that & why?? The History of the U.S. title would be awesome but I agree with the others when they say we should get an Andre or Rude dvd before almost every piece of s**t dvd on that list.

    • bo says:

Guess what, Dips**t. You don’t have to buy the dvds. IF you want to see Andre or Rude go look them up on other dvds or the Network or Youtube and stop being such a whiny little c**t

  27. David says:

So I guess I should expect an email about a refund on my BFG preorder at some point ?

  28. Tommy B says:

Clear Vision cancelling TNA DVD’s? Well that just plain sucks…

  29. SRB says:

Some of these choices are actually really terrible and I hope most do not see the light of day. We’re still missing sets on guys like Rude, Luger, and Bigelow, but WWE is surveying for a possible Shane set? And I can’t wait to watch the “Hardcore” set in black and white.

  30. Alan Shore says:

Seriously now, who is voting for a Shane McMahon DVD?

    • David says:

I agree…a documentary on Shane would be nice, but a match compilation?! no thanks. Yeah, he had some fun matches but majority of them is him jumping off scaffoldings and being thrown through stuff.

    • Brad Wolfe says:

a majority of fans on wrestling.inc is supporting a Shane McMahon DVD.
