This weeks Raw and Smackdown episodes (broadcast from the UK) will be available on DVD in Europe in early March 2011.
A source in WWE told us that for the North American market most PPV events (but not all) will now be released on Blu-ray. They foresee that this time next year the Blu-ray coverage will be in full flow, but for now they feel the format has taken off better over in Europe. This likely means more BD releases there.
Speaking of Europe, another WWE Tagged Classics DVD set is incoming for a January 2011 release. This one sees the two WWF events Rebellion 2000 and Insurrextion 2001 re-released on to Home Video.
Here’s the cover art and you can pre-order the 2-Disc DVD set via Silver Vision.
Hi Chris, from what I heard the US ones will continue to have only Raw included. Though for the the likes of Mania and Rumble I am assuming those will have both present.
Good to hear that more PPVs are coming. Has there been any news on whether the US releases will go back to having RAW and SD like the first few?
