From a new WWE DVD release to a possible WWE DVD cancellation!

Amazon have cancelled orders for the new “Brock Lesnar – Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.” Collector’s box set, announced in July, after some recent uncertainly surrounding it.

Amazon Cancels WWE 'Brock Lesnar - Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.' DVD Box Set

As you may have been following, over about a fortnight the US Amazon site ceased pre-orders of all 3 versions (DVD, Blu-ray, box set) of the October release. The DVD and the Blu-ray ultimately returned but the box set has not, with customer orders for it now being cancelled.

WDN reader Jordan B. passed along a copy of the email he received from Amazon:

Hello,

Due to a lack of availability, we will not be able to obtain the following item(s) from your order:

“WWE: Brock Lesnar: Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.”

We’ve canceled the item(s) and apologize for the inconvenience. If you see a charge for the canceled item, we will refund you within 1-2 business days.

If you are still interested in purchasing this item, it may be available from other sellers. Please visit the detail page for this item below:

Sincerely,

Customer Service Department

We cannot confirm the box set’s cancellation at this time, especially given the turmoil the product listings have been facing, however it remains a possibility WWE have decided to no longer produce this particular version. The product does remain available to order online from other retailers, but in the past it has often been the case that Amazon are first to react to cancelled titles.

BROCK BOX SET: WWE 'Brock Lesnar - Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat' DVD Box Set Revealed

In case you missed it, below is a list of contents WWE had planned for the release (and could well still be planned should the box set resurface):

– “Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.” 3 disc DVD set
– “Fear the Fury” fight gloves
– WrestleMania 32 artcard, with authentic ring canvas
– Brock Lesnar trading card

It may also be worth noting here that the Collector’s Edition was at no point scheduled for the United Kingdom, nor have there been any indications so far of an Australian offering.

Rest assured, the standard DVD and Blu-ray of “Brock Lesnar – Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.” are definitely going ahead. Amazon has both versions up to pre-order at these links:

i do agree we need a best of european title or cw/lightheavyweight title next. or a tag team title one but which one cause the tag titles kinda merge in some twlight zone kinda thing

    • LP1 says:

Yeah, WWE really screwed up the Tag Team Title history. The WWF Tag Team Championship that existed from 1971 ended up becoming the World Tag Team Championship on Raw in 2002. When they unified the World Tag Title with the new WWE (SmackDown) Tag Title at Mania 25, they did away with the lineage of the old Championship(which was really dumb) and kept the lineage of the newer belts that were created for SmackDown. And now those WWE Tag belts that were created for SmackDown in 2002 are known as the Raw Tag Team Championship, that New Day holds. And they’re creating yet another new Tag Team Championship for SmackDown this Sunday at Backlash. So it’s actually 3 different sets of Tag Titles that have existed since 1971. 5 different sets if you included the older International Tag Team belts from 1969 and the US Tag Team belts from 1958.

  3. John says:

Not surprised that the Hardcore set is a best seller

  4. Motorhead says:

    Very strange indeed….

  5. Ryan Johansson says:

Now we need sets on the European and Cruserweight (WCW & WWE) Championships next and I will be one happy fan. Also sets on Rick Rude, a new Mr. Perfect and Kurt Angle ASAP.

  6. Brad Attitude says:

I wanna see The History of the Cruiserweight Championship on dvd next!

    • Jeff Copeland says:

i be all for that or european title or if they go with more wcw like releases the next one should be halloween havoc

  7. Timothy Thorpe says:

This news doesn’t concern me at all. I’m getting the Steelbook.

  8. Patrick Mcnamara says:

I don’t care about the box set. I just want the blu ray.

  9. Jeff Copeland says:

HAHAHAHAH!!! lesnar got canned xD!!! I got the hardcore bluray early yesterday at fye 🙂 !!

over all i thought it was a good set. some matches are i think missing like wm 2000 battle royal or even a snow vs holly match from backlash, or over the edge.

missing snow vs bossman from fully loaded i think was a good match. THANK GOD no kennel from hell!! SHIVVERS!!! 😛 !!

also thank GODS no patterson vs brisco from king of the ring 2000 o jesus that was a nightmare D=

would of liked to see maybe saturn vs blackman from rebellion 2000 was a good match.

judgment day 01 test vs big show vs rhino.

now i know a good chunk of the matches on the new set were from old hardcore dvd/vhs but eh.

over all good dvd enjoyed foley raven and even rvd would of liked blackman on there he would of been fun to hear from or hardcore holly xD

i hope we get a set on the EUROPEAN TITLE!!!! or even cw/lightheavyweight title one day.

  10. David says:

Meh, no big deal. The collector’s set was worthless anyways and probably would have dropped to $15 within 6 months. Probably no demand for it thus being cancelled.

Unless theres bonus content (ie. more footage, extra disc, etc) all this memorabilia in DVD sets are worthless junk with no value. The intent of buying crap like this is only for people keeping it sealed thinking it will increase in value…which probably won’t (just look at the Randy Savage Collector’s Edition).

    • Jeff Copeland says:

i agree sets like this really are only for those super hardcore collectors or kids maybe? i would of liked extra stuff. but really a lesnar dvd ??? when guys like rude or kane well kane did have one have not even had a dvd.

  11. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

My guess is, the numbers of pre-orders for this boxset are too low in the eyes of WWE, therefor they cancelled it.

But the low numbers should’nt really come as a surprise..when they release it as a DVD version…with the content being about 75% HD filmed material.

Freemantle has still not sold out the stock of only 1.000 editions of the WM 32 boxset…it is likely not just because the event was bad, but it really must suck watching on SD media..especially to that price.

Had they released both those boxsets with Blue, my guess is, it would be sold out long by now, similar to the WM XX box and the black VKM signed WM Anthology box back then.
