What happened to Don Leo Jonathan, he had great matches with Andre & Bruno
Abby does not belong on this DVD set, in the WWE Hall of Fame, or anywhere near professional wrestling.
It’s disappointing that a set for the giants has no Akebono vs Big Show from WM21 or Great Khali vs Kane at WrestleMania 23
Lol – such amazing matches.
this will be a fun dvd set.not meant to be the greatest wrestling but fun. Many of the past Giants I grew up watching as a kid some I actually got to see at live events.enjoy young wrestling fans at some of the greats
I see Hogan appears in several of the bonus matches; however I find it odd he’s not profiled. 6’8″, 310 pounds surely qualifies one to be a “giant”. Seems like his ” giant” status gets lost amid all the celebrity status.
while I agree with you, that the Hulkster is a giant..on more than one perception level..since he already has been profiled on 13 DVD discs, when you count the NwO releases with, I would say it is fair enough, that the profiling part is being reserved to those who has not being profiled so much…and likely never will get their own release.
Probably they’re avoiding the major names that are always featured, otherwise you’d definitely have the likes of Hogan and Taker here.
I never thought of Hogan as a giant. He was a big, muscular guy, but not a giant.
damn! delay on my pre-ordered copy of AE vol. 2.. someone in the danish or uk postal system is gonna get a Shattered Dreams, a Rock bottom, a Stunner and finally taste Mr. Socko, if the bluray has not arrived by friday. 🙁
is it just me, when I think that the wwe as a business has too much projects at hand, since the clear errors they have made in recent times.
Lately the very odd misinformations on backside of dvd-bluray releases.. inclusion of a match that has nothing to do with the concept (Great American Bash), this completely false description of content, and let us not forget the disgracefull treatment of Network customers in the UK!
I admit, I know absolutely nothing about running a concept company…but, I doubt that the way it is run lately is very professional.
Again, I think wwe has too many concepts they wanna act on. maybe they just should just stick to what they alwasy have been the best in the world at:
wrestling!
then maybe, the errors and mistakes would be less of in numbers.
There is an error on the bonus match list: that Hogan/Earthquake match is not a title match, neither were champion at the time.
Interesting. You’re right so I’ve updated it now; but that came from the official information.
Hopefully we get clarification on the Hogan Piper vs. Flair & Sid match, to see if it’s actually West Palm Beach or it’s actually Mobile Alabama.
Why is Big Show smiling on the cover? I know it’s better than him crying, but still. Do they make a conscious effort to make sure he never ever seems the least bit intimidating?
Bam Bam , yeah now the set is complete.
I feel bad saying this because Bam Bam is so great, but a “giant”? Not really. He was always credited as doing great things for a “big guy” and I agree with this, but I wouldn’t put him in the “giants” category. Sadly, he will likely never get his own release, so I’m glad he is on here either way.
By that reckoning, many of the people on the list aren’t “giants” then. If we’re talking in medical terms as to what is classified as a giant, the DVD would probably only contain Andre, Big Show and Kurrgan.
great to see profiles on these 4 giants added.. but, I still would have wished that the World’s largest Lovemachine Viscera been giving some time too..
hence, may this be a HUGE seller and let’s have a second volume next December. 😉
A second volume of this? Perish the thought, lol.
