Chris Jericho: “No Hero’s Goodbye or Ceremony, I just want to Disappear”

September 21, 2010 by Daniel Bee

So after last night’s WWE Night of Champions event the Internet is buzzing about whether or not Chris Jericho is finished with the WWE.

Well we can’t answer that and probably only he himself can, but below is a quote from Jericho directly from his upcoming DVD Breaking The Code: Behind the Walls of Chris Jericho:

“Getting dragged kicking and screaming out of the ring, begging for mercy from whoever it is that fires me and never be seen again. Thats how I want to go out. Yeah, I don’t want any heroes goodbye or a big send off, I don’t want a retirement ceremony; that’s not how I’m built. I just want to disappear into the sunset and have people say “Man that guy was a jerk wasn’t he? Wow, I’m glad he’s gone.”

Those of us here at WWEDVDNews.com who had the opportunity to watch the new DVD (due for release Sept 28th) thought the documentary feature somewhat left the feeling of closure to Jericho’s career. However in many recent interviews Chris has continually said he feels he has a number of years left in him helping the younger guys in the business, before he feels it’s time to leave. Time will tell, but isn’t all this drama making you want the DVD even more?
