Reports are making the rounds via The Wrestling Observer and PWInsider that WWE are beginning a new project, possibly a DVD release, with Jerry Lawler. WWE film crews are said to be following Lawler and conducting interviews with him in Memphis next week.
At this time we cannot confirm the go ahead of a DVD/Blu-ray release on Jerry Lawler, and early indications are that this will most likely be a WWE Network special.

Do u think Lawler’s teenage girlfriends will be interviewed?
wwe needs to do a memphis dvd. they have lawler, dutch, hart…they can get others. id be cool with a few video clips and pics if they have good input from memphis talent
Does anyone know if cm punk is going to be on wwe 15 game?
Yea the cover is atrocious.. I would’ve placed 12 squares on the front with 12 incidents on them.. like photo stills. That would’ve been cool along with some gnarly colors
I still say that match at Mania with the Hitman is Pipers greatest match.
Putting both McMahon’s on the WCW DVD is beyond dumb.
WWE owns WCW, so they can do whatever they damn well please. If they want to put Shockmaster on the cover, more power to them.
Will that stop you from buying the DVD?

lol
The guy who did that cover is one cool guy, I bet. ๐
He is a pretty cool guy…
…when I think of him from a Fantasy Concept point of view. ๐
…I’d go with most of the time, but whatevs.
…going to go and cry in the corner now. :_(
I’m thinking the Lawler thing will be a documentary similar to Daniel Bryan and The Ultimate Warrior that aired on the Network. The Memphis library is such a complicated situation with nobody really knowing who owns what when it comes to those tapes. For WWE to purchase them they’re going to have to throw money at a number of different people since the library is fragmented. Plus who knows for sure how much of the older stuff is still in existence and how far back it goes. Either way I’m looking forward to the documentary as the Bryan and Warrior documentaries were tremendous. The Warrior documentary was one of the greatest documentaries they’ve ever put together. I’m sure the Lawler one won’t disappoint either.
Bret Hart sucks. Just sayin’
Just because you say that Bret Hart sucks doesn’t make it true. Bret Hart is by far one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He truly was the Excellence of Execution.
I would love for the WWE to do documentary/match DVDs on Jerry Lawler and Bruno Sammartino. Of course would be better if they could get large amount of Memphis and USWA footage for Lawler’s DVD.
