Raw/Smackdown: The Best of 2011 / [DVD/Blu-ray] – confirmed for January (more info).
The Rock [DVD/Blu-ray] – confirmed for February (more info / buy it).
Greatest Rivalries [DVD/Blu-ray] – a second instalment in the series is expected for 2012, with Austin vs. Rock now rumored to have been put back on the schedule. This is according to the Wrestling Globe Newsletter. No confirmation yet, and with WWE just releasing a DVD on Austin, and doing the same for The Rock soon, they may not decide to release it in the same year.
CM Punk [DVD/Blu-ray] – rumored to already be in planning stages at WWE, with filming starting soon, the next ‘Experience’ type format following the recent Cena and Orton titles (more info).
Edge [DVD/Blu-ray] – rumored to be on the way, as a biographical feature of Edge’s whole career. Jim Ross confirmed via Twitter he was interviewed for the release, whilst Lita was recently called in by WWE for an interview which one could assume was for this project (more info).
Triple H [DVD/Blu-ray] – A Triple H career set (most likely with full blown documentary) was on WWE’s schedule for this year but later dropped. Interesting to note a reason was given for this, to postpone the release until next year, so this one is likely still planned.
This time around WWE are keeping their plans more closely under wraps, due to tentatively planned titles often changing. For example, Austin/Rock and 50 Greatest Matches were dropped earlier this year. However, as always, WWEDVDNews.com will bring you the latest updates on newly scheduled WWE DVDs as and when we get them.
What do you think of the above list of WWE DVDs? Which others do you hope to see released? Sound off by leaving your comments below!
I predict the best of WCW on pay per view volume 1 will come to DVD in 2012.
Looks like the HHH set is confirmed…Amazon has both Blu-ray and DVD up for preorder…release is March 13, 2012.

I think they should do a best of the divas set or something of that nature, also would be cool an Outsiders set of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.
I think the Triple H set has potential if they include the WrestleMania 18 match of him against Jericho for the Undisputed World Championship, and I still want an NWO set in 2012.
I’m looking forward to the Triple H set the most this time
around. 2nd would be CM Punk sure would be much of a different
collection.
in reference to the Greatest Rivalries, I’d much rather see one on The Rock Vs. Triple H, they do have matches of there’s that aren’t as replayed as rock/austin. Would like to see a Best of Clash of the champions set, War games set, the Best of In Your House (would be a cool set as well).
Yay we can get the Rock/Austin wrestlemania matches AGAIN!
GIVE ME A GOLDBERG 3 DISC SET.
Erik, I agree with pretty much all of those you said, but I’m surprised anyone would want to see a Honky Tonk Man DVD. What would be on that one? I thought his interviews were ok, but I hated his matches. I’d rather see a 4 disc Norman Smiley Anthology or the Best of Max Moon.
A NeXus DvD!!!!!!!!!!!
Im not really too into the sets where most of the stuff is really ancient, like the Superstar Billy Graham set, which is why i have no interest in a Bob Backlund, Gorgeous George or Bruno Sammartino set. Guys like British Bulldog, Rick Rude and Kurt Angle are well-deserved.
I want WWE to issue dvd sets of The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, British Bulldog, The Honky Tonk Man, Andre The Giant, Ravishing Rick Rude, Bruno Sammartino, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Kurt Angle, Scott Hall, Yokozuna, Owen Hart, Junkyard Dog, Harley Race, Demolition, Christian, Don Muraco and Bob Backlund. I also want WWE to issue a second three dvd set of Ricky Steamboat and a second three dvd set of Randy Savage.
…i was refering to the hogan/beefcace vs macho/zues for those who don’t know.
@ anonymous – i would still like to see ‘no holds barred’ steel cage match on DVD.
still waiting on a best of WWF superstars;1986-1992
too many great moments from that show have yet to see the light;example-machoman hits steamboat with the ring bell. not on dvd anywhere. hartfoundation first title win. mr perfect both IC belt wins.
a bloddy shame.
I’d like to see a Greatest Rivalries : The Monday Night War (WWE vs WCW) set one day.
A “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase set would also be great. And as someone stated below, a Wrestlings Greatest Factions DVD set would be cool too.
SRB
You had me going until you mentioned “nipple slips”.
That sounds like a great list Triple H, except the wrestling gimmicks idea. That would be terrible. Hart vs. Austin would be a dream come true for me. It makes no sense to release half the survivor series ppvs (Probably because they are not PG). And I would really like to know what happened about the Ted DVD. I’d love that one. In Your House has some great memories for me and I’d love to see them released too.
5 DVD’s WWE needs to put out are
TED DIBIASE SR.
SURVIVOR SERIES VOLUMES
WRESTLING GIMMICKS, BEST AND WORST
HART VS AUSTIN
BEST OF IN YOUR HOUSE
like stone cold wwe should do a 4 disc set on hulk hogan. because it’s alot of rare hogan matches in the vaults. some on the old wwf coliseum videos.
Warrior 3 disc blu ray
Here’s one thing, WWE should considering planning and that’s releasing Jim Ross DVD. He deserves it. I bet a Jim Ross Documentary would sell the off the roof. Plus it’s long overdue, other Considerations, The Undertaker when he retires and hopefully goes 20-0 in Wrestlemania and then gets into the Hall of fame, they should do more than a 3 disc DVD documentary. Because he has been with WWE for over 20 years and would rank with Stone Cold Steve Austin recent DVD, I cant wait for the Austin and Rock Rivalry, i hope they including lots promos from their feud including the raw of Nov 2001 episode in Boston MA the week for Survivor Series of them singing.
I Wish We Can See A Owen Hart DVD Set. Because Like Goldberg,Sting,Bruno Sammartino,Jerry Lawler And Million Dollar Man,It’s Also A Long Overdue 3-Disc Set.
We know the Best of Skinner has been in the pipeline for a while. But what about Ted?
@toby The world needs a Terry Funk DVD set in 2012, with a great documentary and collection of matches – that would be incredible.
Also for 2012 I would like to see…
ECW (more classic matches and moments, including Night the Line was Crossed 3-Way and Bam Bam, Taz & Sabu 3-Way and the Tazz vs Dreamer match from Cyber Slam 00)
Best of Clash of the Champions (shades of the Starrcade set) with the top 25 matches and a mini-doc)
A Best of Tuesday Night Titans
Mick Foley documentary and matches
A Monsters and Big Guys Set (with mini-bios and matches from guys like George Steele, Vader, Stan Hansen, Abdullah the Butcher, etc)
Top 50 Madison Square Garden Moments
The Rock N Wrestling Connection (documentary looking at the mid 80s WWE rise)
Bret Hart – Unreleased Collectors Series
Masked Superstars Set – Like Highest Flyers looking at Masked Wrestlers, with Mil Mascaras in the Hall next year and WrestleMania supposedly set to be the largest group of people wearing masks (or something like that). It would feature superstars such as: The Masked Superstar, Mil Mascaras, Tiger Mask, Jushin Liger, Vader, Kane, Sin Cara & Rey Mysterio.
Macho Man Randy Savage documentary
That’s all I’ve got for now, other than an Angle and Sting set (which ain’t gonna happen anytime soon).
we need a collection of all the TLC matches!and I WOULD LOVE TO SEE a 2-Disk Set on Christian. @Eduardo “way to early for a CM Punk DVD” are you serious BRO. I know he has only been in the company 5 years but the guy has had so many entertaining and classic matches through those 5 years that if they wait until next year(2013) or (2014) they won’t have enough space to put his run in ECW, his world tittle run @ SMACKDOWN and his historic run as WWE Champ @ RAW. Plus his Money in the Bank wins @ 08 and 09.
We don’t need another triple h dvd set untill i would say 2014? on blu-ray of course and they should release all there 2012 movies on blu-ray since i was dissapointed with amount of blu-rays produceds this year ppv wise and one i set i would really buy would be a Christian set? since hes had some amazing matchess since his wwe return and way to early for a CM Punk DVD
Christian 2-Disk or 3-Disk but a 2-Disk Set on Christian
would be most likely and there well should be one for Summer
or Fall would be a nice fit for things that happened last year.
well if ur looking for a dvd set that’s gonna have old school guys like Repo Man Max Moon etc. Then maybe a 3 dvd set of the best of WWE Superstars the show that used to come on Saturday mornings. that was some good tv back then. The time Papa Shango put the spell on Warrior. plus we’ll get a hole lot of Iron Mike Sharp and Paul Roma and The Genies and list goes on. Just a idea but still pulling for The Kliq dvd set for 2012. Also some others that would be great. Like to see another Bret Hart dvd set. Actually i’ll just list my top ten picks for sets that should be released in 2012 that aint already set to come out.
1. Bret Hart (2)
2. Kurt Angle
3. Brock Lesner
4. Sting
5. Diesel / Kevin Nash
6. Randy Savage (2)
7. Best of In Your House PPV’s
8. Best of The Kliq
9. Best of WWE Greatest Factions such as 4 Horsemen, nWo, DX, Evolution, The Legacy, Nexus, The Brood, Ministry Of Darkness, McMahon-Helmsley Faction, Hart Foundation 97 and so on… (this would make a great dvd set just saying)
10. Christian
When I think about sets I’d like to see some names like The Repo Man, Max Moon and Giant Gonzalez come to mind right away. These guys really set the bar over the years for sports entertainment and i dont see how a collection could be complete without them. I also really would like to see sets on Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hottie. Finally, I think a 3 disc of Ivory would be a great closeout to a superstar series. AS far as compilation DVDs go I’d like to see a 3 disc set titled the best of “Sweet Chin Music.” Another compilation idea that would work would be “WWE’s Nipple Slips.” Great stuff to look forward to. Give me a set on Drew Carey as well and my life is complete.
@Dave, You make a lot of sense on a Kliq dvd, since I’m a fan of the Kliq and probably one of the biggest Shawn Michaels fans if not the biggest. Shawn Michaels is my idol to what many basketball fans consider Michael Jordan. I would buy it and be the first in line to get it.
I would buy the following DVDs: Best of Christian, Daniel Bryan, The Miz, William Regal, British Bulldog, The Rockers, Jerry Lawler, MSG, Vintage Collection, Battle Royals
I would like to see a best of the cruiser weights/light heavy weights set…that would be really exciting to see. Also, a collection of all the TLC matches.
it will be cool to see a JESSE THE BODY VENTURA dvd with a documentary.
about rock/austin dvd if they do it like bret/hbk with their matches alot of them will be repeated cause there are 8 on dvd now
I think a dvd set of The Kliq would be awesome. You can have a documentary on disc 1 about how they all met and became the Kliq all the backstage politics that went on talk about the Curtain call at MSG. Why Triple H and HBK never jumped over to WCW and so on. Then disc 2&3 can be matches from all 5 guys HHH, HBK, Deisel /Kevin Nash, Razor Ramon / Scott Hall and 123 Kid / Syxx Pac / X-Pac. This would make a great set considering you can have footage from early WWF days all the way to DX and NWO. And also have the footage from HBK’s HOF speech with the hole Kliq there to welcome into the HOF minus Scott Hall for reason we all know. I don’t know i think this would be one hell of a dvd /blu ray set. And one that they wouldn’t be able to keep it on the shelves fast enough.
Another bret dvd another hbk dvd a sid dvd a hall dvd and a nash dvd
@ Lawrence
I agree with you about WWE releasing the remaining Survivor Series anthology volumes, but i feel unfortunately the remaining volumes are as good as dead. I don’t think we will see them anytime soon.
WWE was likely depending on the sales of vol. 1 and 2 to continue, but again it likely flopped in sales numbers…young fans these days don’t appreciate the classic stuff so older fans like us have to suffer.
They did the same thing with Best of RAW Seasons 1 and 2…which was a great set with classic footage but it sold like crap which is why they cancelled seasons 3/4 which was actually suppose to come out his past August but replaced OMG!
I feel the pay per view anthologies are finished…they could have had a complete King of the Ring anthology but instead have a compilation.
With the new WWE channel coming out that’s probably where all the classic ppvs will be on and of course Classics on Demand.
Agreed Chris a 2 hour Macho Documentary, with more promo’s and segments on Discs 1, 2, 3 and then more matches from his historic career on Discs 2 and 3 a a second set with hopefully 2012 HOF Induction would be a solid release for Randy Savage and would sell well like his last one. If they can make another Edge set, they certainly can for Randy and it would sell well.
they need to realease a new macho man dvd set
we need a terry funk set!
The Best of Skinner
Please WWE Give Me The History Of The U.S Title DVD Set. Another Overdue One.
i wish wwe will do a sting and kurt angle dvd set soon.
I want that CM Punk DVD.
And a DDP DVD, too. That’s LONG overdue!
I think WWE in 2012 release one more Shawn Michaels DVD, because he is an Icon, The Showstopper, The Headliner, The Main Event, and you all know the rest. But seriously they need to put classic matches from 1996-1997 on it and have it like this Disc 1 documentary and 1980 -1992 matches, Disc 2 matches of 1996-1997 and Disc 3 start with SummerSlam 2002 and end with Mania26.
I agree with Steven, an NWO set would be great and the little Jimmy’s be complaing about that since nobody on the NWO roster was Superman which Cena is to the little Jimmy’s. I hope on the Triple H set, the classic Mania 18 match is on it him and Chris Jericho had a great match.
Greatest Rivalries: Los Boricuas vs Disciples of Apocalypse vs. Nation of Domination
hope to still see best of raw seasons 3 and 4 and the million dollar man dvd sets that wwe foolishly canceled.
i would like to see a goldberg and bruno sammartino dvd set. long overdue.
I’d like Jerry Lawler or Harley Race 3 disc set.
How many times have all the Austin vs Rock matches been on DVD as well? I own every single one. Literally..every single one, even the tags on free tv.
I can’t see the Austin/Rock rivalries DVD happening if both of them have new sets out, I suppose WWE could pull it off though.
WOOOOOOOOOO TRIPLE H!!!!!!!!
Im happy 2hear about the Austin/Rock Rivlary again as well as a Triple H Doc, though i mostly want to c a D-Generation X Documentary from 1997.
As great as an Austin vs Rock DVD would be, it really would be madness to release it alongside Bottom Line and the new Rock set.
Much as I miss Edge, the good thing about him being retired is that if they make a documentary, it really would be career spanning, with no pressure to make a 3rd set in the future.
I want a NWO set a biographical one with the history and great matches from Nitro and WCW PPV’s and matches and moments from NWO Souled Out, an NWO dvd/blu-ray will sell really good, the Attitude Era fans will buy it and fans of the NWO will also get it too.
@straightedge47
I do think they should make another Greatest Rivalries set. There have been so many great rivalries aside from Brett Hart vs Shawn Michaels and to name a few, Stone Cold vs The Rock, John Cena vs Edge, Triple H vs Randy Orton, Undertaker vs Kane etc.
Whatever happened to The Million Dollar Man or Gorgeous George rumored sets?
Hopefully a punk DVD is on the way soon
expect a video on my dvds id like to see in 2012
I’d be really looking forward to any of those wrestler profile DVDs, and the RAW/Smackdown one too since this has been a good year. I don’t know how they’d do another Greatest Rivalries set though, since this one was based so much on a real life rivalry.
I’m still hopeful that, one day, the WWE will continue the Survivor Series anthology.
I have the complete sets of WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam and would love to also have the complete set of the other “big four” pay-per-view.
