March was “K.O.”-ed when on the first of the month WWE officially confirmed plans to release “Fight Owens Fight – The Kevin Owens Story”, and here at WrestlingDVDNetwork.com we’re about to close it out with exclusive new content updates for the DVD!

BREAKING: WWE “Kevin Owens: Fight Owens Fight” DVD Confirmed for 2017 – A Documentary Included!

Just days before “KO-Mania”, this week Kevin Owens revealed the front cover WWE has planned for the 2017 release on his Twitter account. We’re hearing that Owens personally requested he have first dibs on unveiling the artwork – if you missed the first look, get eyes on it below.

We can confirm that the format of the Home Video will take a documentary main feature and combine it with a number of “documentary-style” interview extras in usual fashion. The biography will be accompanied by a compilation of some 15-20 matches that run from Kevin Owens’ NXT debut in 2014 all the way to his WrestleMania 33 match this Sunday with Chris Jericho.

Yes, even though it hasn’t happened yet the plan is to include the battle of the former best friends!

EXCLUSIVE: New Details on WWE “Kevin Owens: Fight Owens Fight” DVD – Unseen Match Revealed!

We previously teased that the bonus material may include a “never-before-seen” match in which Owens teamed with Triple H at a 2016 live event to face Sami Zayn and Dean Ambrose. The match looks to have made the cut and word is that this won’t be the only unseen content in the DVD — K.O.’s WWE “tryout” match could be presented in full or be sighted in the documentary portion.

“Fight Owens Fight – The Kevin Owens Story” is coming to both DVD and Blu-ray formats. WWE will release this anticipated title in July to fans in North America and Europe, with the Australian release time still to be confirmed. Stay tuned for the full list of content.

Heads up, there’s a hidden “Easter Egg” in DDP’s content. In the menu navigate your way to the extra “stories” after the documentary, highlight the “Getting in Touch” chapter and press right. This is tested working on the Blu-ray edition and is most likely the same in the DVD version too.

I’m so glad I didn’t bother to watch WM33 last night (mainly for the Goldberg Vs Lesnar match) which didn’t even last more than 5mins!

  2. Brandon says:

Hey i’m wondering if Diamond Dallas Page Positivley Living will be a best buy exclusive steelbook. I remember you guys posting something about it but i never heard any confirmation. So is there gonna be a steelbook? I will appreciate a answer. Thank you

  3. Shane says:

Just gotta wait until Wrestlemania 100 and we get free stuff on WWE Shop?? Lol

  4. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

riiiight..the WWE logic strikes again: So Seth gets no Blue release…but, K.O. does??? and.. WWE knows how, that a K.O. Blue will sell, but not a Seth???

More so than those two though, is a Wrestlemania themed release that only gets a Blue release in UK/Europa. I shake my head at those weird descions that are been made the recent years.

Dammit.. when it said Eastern Egg for DDP, I hoped for the long awaited Director’s cut of “Ready to Rumble” movie..oooh, well.. 🙁 …

    naaaah.. -lol-

    • RabidHeat says:

The releases are different formats. If Owens’ DVD was just a match compilation, it likely wouldn’t get a BluRay release either. But presumably WWE has done market research and probably found out that people are more willing to pay for a BluRay for a documentary filmed in HD rather than just matches. If and when Rollins gets a documentary DVD I’m sure it will be released on BluRay, but you can’t compare these two releases as if they’re the same thing.

      • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

That would mean, the WrestleMania Monday release also should have had a Blue release world wide, if that is indeed the logic they are working around. I still find it completely rubbish that WWE appearently can not see how terrible HD filmed material on SD media watched on full hd tv looks terrible.

Anyway.. it is what it is, for what ever reason there may be for the descions that WWE make, they must have knowledge of what is best for their business..

        • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

Terrible lots of mentions of Terrible.. Terrible sorry bout that.. -lol at my self-

          • brandon vendetta says:

Not trying to start a big argument with anyone here but isnt it a little to soon for a Kevin Owens DVD set with a documentary? I mean he’s only been around a few years and already a DVD with doc?? I have the same feelings about the upcoming Seth Rollins release too just seems a little to soon to me that’s just my opinion maybe I’m wrong

            • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

They did the same with Austin back then, a year or two after he debuted. Same with Cena. Business related, it is of course wise to capitalize on a product that is populare and try gain as much money out of it as possible.

K.O. and Seth are appearently that for WWE, hence these releases. Seth “only” being a sit-down interview and not a traditional doc might be, cause the Shield doc is’nt that long ago.
Not that I personally would call the docs from the recent years docs.. more like TMZ alike extended backstage teasers with same formula. Hence, I’m not high on either of these, although I gotta admit, that including the Jericho match from up coming WM 33 will problaly be one of the few highlights on the K.O. Show…and problaly one of the few highlights on WM itself. -lol-

              • brandon vendetta says:

Hope that wwe does a documentary set with some much deserved older talent such as Kurt angle maybe even lex luger and a much over due in depth documentary with the undertaker.I’m sure the wwe and taker are waiting to do this after the undertaker retires but who knows when that will be. I do think if an undertaker doc ever comes out it will break the record for sales for sure.keeping my fingers crossed that it will finally happen in the next few years

                • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

Can nothing but agree with you.. produced and presented the right way, the Undertaker’s Finale Bell, aka release, on him will be a monster seller.

I will put it up there as part of the “Holy Grail of History of the Physicals”, along with Bret Hart’s “Best there is..”, Austin’s “Bottom line..”, Foley’s “For all Mankind..” and “History of WWE: 50 years..”.

I expect the Undertaker release to span over at least 3 Blue discs, 4 if you go with DVD..and if the artwork is special – and considering who it is, it definitely should be very special – I may very well get it on both Blue and DVD, which would make it only a second time for me to own both versions of a release; Austin’s “Bottom line..” is the first.

Anyway, is the most anticipated release I wait for.

              • foley is good says:

I think Wrestlemania will be good. At least the WWE title feud has had a 6 m0nth build.

                • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

Definitely with you there.. Bray/Orton with a dark evil themed surroundings hopefully, will, hopefully, be amazing.

And absolutely more looking forward to that champ match than the Universal strap match, which I have zero interests in..and that’s coming from a huge Brock fan.

      • Bobby says:

Then why did Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar get bluray releases for their latest compilation match sets?
