  1. Charles says:

Wow! Don’t know which cover is the ugliest. This one or Road is jericho.

  2. RabidHeat says:

I actually did a double-take and thought it must be the 1st of April for a moment and that WDN was ribbing us … this beggars belief. I’m not going to repeat the “WWE-centric” argument (even though I agree with it), but aside from that, it’s just ridiculous because it it nowhere near the same kind of scheme or layot at Volume 1 – the two sets will look ridiculous together! There was so much going on imagery-wise on Volume 1’s cover, thast to make this one look like a Rock DVD solely is just madness – the two covers will look like totally different releases when laid side by series, not like tow parts of the same book at all.

Personally, I think the way to go would have been Eric Bischoff’s evil eyes over the top of the cover with legendary WCW moments pictured beneath – the Nitro and WCW PPV-themed releases have proven that buyers aren’t put off by WCW content on covers. It then would have look right when put next to the first volume.

  3. Brad Attitude says:

I will buy volume 2 if the survivor series 2001 elimination match is on the matches

  4. captain planet says:

Why on Earth did they not capitalize on this being WCW vs WWF? That’d the whole draw of it…not just Rock and DX, but Rock and DX (and Austin) vs Sting, nWo, Goldberg, etc. It’d make for very interesting design. This looks lame as hell, especially with the obviously PS’d fist.

  5. Dennis says:

    Stupid cover. Makes no sense.

  6. me says:

This cover is okay enough. The first one looked so ugly. I haven’t seen the series but it seems as if the episodes that will be on this will be less obnoxious and there is at least the potential for some good extras. There is only a small chance I will buy this but I am still holding out a small amount of hope.

  7. Justin F says:

That is a good looking picture of The Rock but that hand wasn’t in the original. LOLphotoshop.

  8. Nicolas Hébert says:

Horrible cover!!! One of the worst of all time! I liked the temporary cover so…

  9. RK Morton says:

I know it’s bad to say that a cover can ruin a DVD, but my excitement for the Monday Night Wars set has deflated after seeing the WWE-centric covers. As a person who grew up watching the tail-end of the wars and who currently does not own the Network, I was looking forward to this series’ release on DVD. The lack of extras included on the DVD version was bothersome, but not a deal breaker for me. But not one reference to WCW on either cover?! And no underlying theme linking the two. They are just randomly created WWE propaganda.

    • attitude.era.4life says:

      – Propaganda – absolutely fit for this release, that word.

And rest assured: its not only fitting the cover.

  10. Attitudeerawwful says:

Well, ostensibly…by judging both Vol 1 and 2 covers WCW had nothing do with the monday night wars. They might as well release a WCW set and only have WWF/E guys featured on the cover. Oh wait, they already did that before (WCW – OMG Vol2).

  11. THOMAS says:

I will not be buying the 4 dvd set at all

  12. attitude.era.4life says:

    WWE/F is/was:
    – Entertainment: check
    – Not to be taken seriously, cos it’s scripted, down to the talking heads on a set like this: check
    – When done right, the Best in the World at what they do, which is why they won the War, cos they done everything better than the competition, even the the crap and garbage angles: check
    – This cover: un-check!
    – This release, along with vol. 1: double un-check!
    – Why!?! : because this has got to be the worst produced WWE release ever! cos the crap and garbage angle is beyond everything, judging by the episodes I watched on the Network…thank god it was on a free trial period.. I would not spend a cent / penny or dime on that filth!

Take it from a guy that loves the attitude era and always considered the WWF to be the best entertainment, even when WCW supposely kicked their a§§ for 84 weeks..

but, this…this is a bs release, full of talking heads, who do miserable jobs at delivering their garbage scripted “opinions”. Shame on you, WWE!

  13. LP1 says:

LOL. The winners get to (re)write history, folks. Nothing new from WWE. Been doing that for many years. The new version of history, at least this month, is WWE fired the first shots in the war(false) and WWE is the sole reason WCW lost the war(also false).

  14. Foley is Good says:

Kind of lame. Why didn’t WCW have the first volume cover since they were winning at the start. And then give WWF the second cover. As I said in an earlier post the two covers should been one cover if you put them beside each other. Make one kickass picture maybe give you a mini poster in Volume 2 of the image. Instead we get “Uncle Sam” Rock…yawn.

  15. Alan Shore says:

Bad photoshop job + telling me nothing about what’s on the set + not in keeping with the theme already established with the first volume = awful cover.
