The summer belongs to the new era!

In a rematch from WWE Money in the Bank, AJ Styles and John Cena look to up the ante to see who is the better man. Cover….. nice to see the women continue to be highlighted as they are. They graced the wn32 cover & Summerslam cover this year. Spoiling Ambrose’s & Balor’s matches, I see that side of it and it’s a fair point.

Extras…. Blu-rays have a good amount of space & WWE have more than enough content to fill that up so I don’t understand the laziness that results in a lack of extras which has been a major downside of these sets, at lesst for ppvs.

  2. Paul says:

Not keen on covers with spoilers, prefer old days with some good old pay-per-view posters.

  3. Brad Attitude says:

The cover is nice but would’ve been better if they didn’t spoil the results with Ambrose and Prince Devitt’s matches. Just having the first half on the cover would’ve been cool itself.

  4. alex says:

    Preordered already!

  5. John S says:

Not fond of commercials but would like to see the KFC promo with Dolph and The Miz as an extra. That was pretty funny.

  6. Tommy D says:

I am SO excited that the preshow matches are on there. I didn’t think we would get them given the length of the PPV and the recent DVD trends.

  7. Chelsea says:

What date WWE Summerslam 2016 DVD in Australia

  8. AD Degreez says:

Cool cover and stoked to get extras, very disappointed when money in the bank had the kick off matches listed inside the DVD cover but weren’t included on disc . not sure what the other ppv this year will be like but hoping for a massive raw vs smackdown survivor series!!!

  9. LP1 says:

They really should’ve included TakeOver: Brooklyn II as part of the package. Hopefully they start doing that with the TakeOver shows for Mania and SummerSlam next year.

  10. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

I am actually surprised that R-Truth was not looking for Pokemons under and around the New Era championship belts / straps at Summerslam..would make a perfect DVD extra!

Is it just me, or does the Universal strap look a lot like the “revolutionary” Womens belt?!?

is’nt it strange, that there seems to be way more incidents of performers injuried these days than in the socalled more violent eras of Attitude and Ruthless Agression?!

Performers in any kind of art, when get more free space to perform their art without too many restrictions, they feel more safe to push limits, thus take their work to higher scales..which makes it more entertaining to experience..and the performers feel their work acknowledged more.

WWE has got a control fetish, that makes its great performers locked inside a square of bored story-lines..or even non-existend story-lines.

    • LP1 says:

I wouldn’t necessarilly compare wrestlers from the late 90s to the wrestlers today, as far as injuries go. Look at the death rate of wrestlers from the late 90s compared to today. Guys may appear to be getting hurt more now, but that’s because they’re not loaded up on painkillers like they were back then. Overall the wrestlers today are much more taken care of than they were 15-20 years ago.

  11. NOTORIOUS ONE says:

AJ Styles all the way in the back. SMH

  12. some guy says:

Seeing them side by side like that you realize how the similar-looking belts can be a little confusing…

    • RabidHeat says:

My only problem with it is that if one is red, the other should be blue, if it’s red because it’s on Raw.

  13. ECW08Rulez says:

Oh no! Spoilers! Finn Balor wore makeup at SummerSlam! I’m not buying this now

    • Morrris says:

Good on point unexceptionable cover can’t buy

    • David says:

Not only that Dean Ambrose’s tank top is off…dammit spoiler covers…why ruin the show for me, i only follow WWE through my collection. I don’t watch RAW, SD, and don’t go on new sites and never go on WWE.com. I sit in my basement waiting for the PPV DVD to be released to find out whats going on.

You suck WWE..not buying this DVD.

      • RabidHeat says:

You people never understand the argument against spoiler covers. Of course everybody knows who won right now. But in 5-10 years time when you take the DVD off your shelf and feel like watching it (and if you’re not an autistic savant who remembers everything forever) it would be nice to put it on one evening and retain some element of surprise.

        • AD Degreez says:

Haha explains why spoiler covers don’t bother me, I remember every wwe ppv back until 99 rumble

          • ECW08Rulez says:

Sounds like RabidHeat and captainplanet have huge plans for their futures!

            • RabidHeat says:

Sounds like you and AD Degreez don’t have much in your futures, certainly not much in the way of getting girlfriends, if you can remember full PPV results back to 1999.

        • captainplanet says:

RabidHeat gets it. This x10. Hardcore collectors are not the majority of people, and it’s easy to forget what happened at certain events. I wouldn’t want the spoiler of movies to be on movies I have long since forgotten, same applies to wrestling shows.

  14. HulksterBrother says:

Is The Lesnar DVD Still coming out October 11? Because it is still listed at Unavailable on Amazon

    • Daniel Bee says:

There’s a bunch of them switched to “unavailable” now and it’s probably just temporary, even if unusual. Try not to panic 🙂

    • Timothy Thorpe says:

I think it’s an Amazon problem as, last I checked, it was available on the Best Buy website.
