WrestlingDVDNetwork.com can now exclusively reveal the official cover artwork that WWE has planned for the DVD and Blu-ray release of Royal Rumble 2016 next month!
It features a live shot of Triple H, the winner of the “One vs. All” Royal Rumble Match for the World Heavyweight Championship at January’s explosive WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, who’s joined in victory by Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon of The Authority.
Pictured is the box art of the UK versions, available to pre-order now on Amazon.co.uk.
For the first time in WWE history, it’s One vs. All as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defends his coveted title against 29 other WWE Superstars in the Royal Rumble match. With participants such as “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar, Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family, Chris Jericho, the debuting AJ Styles, Sheamus, and other surprise entrants, it will truly be one hellacious night for Roman Reigns.
The conflict between Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens reaches its epic conclusion, as they will destroy one another for the chance to be WWE Intercontinental Champion in a Last Man Standing Match. Which Superstar will be the one to walk away with the championship?

I personally don’t care one way or the other about spoiler covers. They don’t bother me at all. What does bother me about this cover is how much the McMahons love themselves. I seriously am sick of the Authority, the Corporation, the McMahon-Helmsley regime, the Alliance and all other heel owners, general managers, commissioners, presidents, etc. etc. etc. It’s been nearly 2 decades of the same garbage. It worked once with Austin vs McMahon and they’ve been recycling that same storyline ever since. They seriously need to change things up. And having a 46 year old World Champion is not the answer. Triple H will be the oldest World Champion in WrestleMania history. Remember back in ’97 when DX used to make fun of Hogan(the “dinosaurs”) for being WCW Champion at his old age? Well Triple H is 2 years older now than Hogan was in ’97. The irony.
They need to just turn the Authority into faces and have them only appear on d in a while to make a big announcement. Let the wrestlers have the spotlight. I know that might be a foreign concept to them.
Sorry about the rant. I’m just not that enamored with WWE’s main event storyline right now.
Meant to say “have them only appear once in a while”.
And yet again, those who don’t like spoiler covers are made to feel they’re not entitled to a right to their own opinion.
What you spoiler cover advocates never take into account is this:
What if, 5 years from now, you do just happen to not be able to put your finger on who won the 2016 Royal Rumble (not everybody is a wrestling trivia savant). It would be nice to be able to take your DVD off the shelf and pop it in to re-watch with a little bit of a sense of anticipation, wouldn’t it? I’m not even saying that situation is all that likely, but if you don’t put a spoiler on the cover, surely then there is no problem for anybody, and it’s just the best solution for all, whereas if you put a spoiler on there, there are always going to be a fair amount of people disgruntled?
Not to mention this just looks like a crap cover anyway, and in no way befits the nature of the Royal Rumble or match. This truly is the spoiler cover to end all spoiler covers. And I bet in usual WWE style, despite the spoiler image, there will be a sentence in the back blurb to the effect of: “Who will in the 2016 Royal Rumble and become the WWE Word Heavyweight Champion?” which always defies sense with the answer on the front cover.
What you said doesn’t make sense. Spoiler covers ruin it for those who don’t follow wrestling on a regular basis. Ever thought how it may come across to those who are casual fans or those who tune in once every while?!? I would much prefer to have the poster design for the cover than a spoiler result. Why would anyone wanna watch this if the front cover basically gives away the result for the main event?!?
It’s basically like Snakes on a Plane. The cover have away the plot. This isn’t rocket science.
I don’t understand how you can say what I have said doesn’t make any sense, if you seem to completely agree with me. We both argued the point against spoiler covers. You just re-iterated the thoughts that I put across.
I dont get it. People say the cover ruins the outcome, but didnt you see raw the following night. Dont you already know the winner from social media. I dont get it. The cover doesnt spoil anything u already dont know.
Y’all are mad that there’s spoilers on the cover, but no mention that WDN just posts said spoiler cover here without so much as a warning? Pity the poor unspoiled Rumble fan who happens upon this at Wal-Mart, but not the random fan hoping to get their DVD news?
Woah, that fan probably shouldn’t be clicking on an article all about the “Royal Rumble” or visiting any wrestling related website after the event if he/she doesn’t want to know what happened.
Also they probably should start watching it. We’re 9 days removed 😀
While the cover art is nice, they should be banned from making spoiler covers
I COMPLETELY AGREE.
Say someone doesn’t have the WWE Network and likes to avoid spoilers. why would you even bother watching these events when it’s spoiled on the front cover?
As much as I love the WWE PPV dvds. They do ruin the ending!! They do it with Wrestlemania. In fact all of them!
I’d rather have WWE take the title off Triple H before Wrestlemania. And then let Sting get a win back at Wrestlemania. Either by having Triple H desperately tap out to the Scorpion death lock early on in the match, while he is screaming in pain and has a look of fear on his face. Or have Sting beat Triple H a la how Lesnar defeated Cena for the WWE title.
But yeah, that will never happen. 🙁
I like. I know the whole thing with Triple H becoming champion is to get it back on Reigns and get him over(I hate that so much), but H is one of my all time favorites. I loved seeing him dump Reigns out of the Rumble.
Reminds me of TLC 2013
pretty much. waits for people to once again say OH DVD COVER SPOILS EVERYTHING WAH WAH WAH!!! again its just a cover!
To me the most hilarious thing around here is reading people complain about PPV covers spoiling the event…so basically you are telling me that a WWE fan only follows WWE through their DVD collection?! not following RAW, SD, going to WWE.com, talking with friends, etc, etc for a whole month. People seem to forget these PPV DVDs are geared towards wrestling fans who watch the current product and know the results…don’t think anyone has hasn’t watched for over 10 years will blind buy these.
This guy gets it, I love the cover
the hilarious thing is fans like you will agree to anything wwe related even if they’re insulting your intelligence or just throwing s**t in your face and yet you’ll let them.
Last things fans who haven’t seen the ppv is another spoiler cover!!!!
I know. I can’t stand those either.
