Now, get a very first sighting of the full artwork created for the North American version (yes, another rather clear sign we’re getting not only Day 1 but Rumble too on DVD in the US).
Royal Rumble winners Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar are featured on the back cover art, along with several other action shots from the evening. Edge, Beth Phoenix, The Miz and Maryse are given a spotlight on the spine of the DVD.
Gateway to WrestleMania.
Royal Rumble Matches are WWE’s most action-packed over-the-top-rope free-for-all. The last man or woman standing punches their ticket to a WWE Championship Match on The Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania! Who will be the ones to make history in this star-studded event? “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar and “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley collide for the first time ever for the WWE Championship.
Former friends turn bitter rivals as Roman Reigns defends his Universal Championship against Seth Freakin’ Rollins. Becky Lynch defends her RAW Women’s Championship against Doudrop. It’s the It Couple vs. The Grit Couple when Miz and Maryse team up to face Edge and Beth Phoenix. Plus, more!
We’re on the road to WrestleMania, and it all starts at Royal Rumble!
WrestlingDVDNetwork.com has also received the full content line-up WWE has put together for the Royal Rumble 2022 DVD, which we can confirm will be a 2-disc set with 7 extras!
Those extras will all be included on the second disc and are taken from RAW and SmackDown episodes leading into the Rumble. The Blu-ray, an exclusive to the UK and Germany, will include the same extras with all of the Blu-ray’s content housed on a single disc.
Over here on Amazon.com, the retailer has Royal Rumble 2022 set to arrive Home Video in the US on March 8th (already tagged as a “#1 New Release”) — this matches the release date we’ve seen in an internal Warner Bros. schedule, and while we haven’t received official word this or Day 1 are going ahead, all of the signs are there to strongly suggest they are.
Fans in the UK will get Royal Rumble on both DVD and Blu-ray on March 21st.

There’s news to share on the AEW DVD side, because there’s been a new release!
When AEW list a new DVD on their shop site, that means it’s available and shipping now. The latest is AEW Full Gear 2021, a 2-disc DVD set containing the PPV and these three extras:
— Buy-In Match
Hikaru Shida & Thunder Rosa vs Jamie Hayter & Nyla Rose— Countdown to Full Gear Extended Cut
— AEW Productions Behind The Scenes
The Making of Hangman’s Full Gear Entrance
Impact Wrestling are also non-stop with their Home Video offerings; Impact’s shop site now has the Hard to Kill 2022 Pay-Per-View event available to pre-order for April 8th.
This follows the company periodically releasing their 2021 events on DVD as usual, and most recently even producing a limited edition double VHS set (yes, VHS!) of Slammiversary 2021.
Couldn’t resist it,broke down got it, wasn’t going to get any WWE DVDs this year. Now I am just going to get the big 4 events To complete my big 4 collections. Lol
I cant remember where I saw this, but I believe that WWE no longer has an agreement with Topps and they wouldn’t be continuing.
They signed a new agreement with Panini. WWE making more money.
With the dvds apparently continuing in the US, does anyone know if they’ll continue to put cards in them? Thanks.
AEW wins the cover battle for me…the date the event took place is on the cover a must for serious wrestling collectors and the cover has a design based on conflict. im dissapointed that IMpact dont even always put the year of an event on the spine let alone the date on the cover. I like that the wwe cover is spoiler free. cANT Wait to see these events….however wwe day one and bound for glory 2021 are out before these… full gear not shipped to uk yet but gather is available in the states?
Erm, the Rumble has literally the two biggest spoilers possible on the back cover.
WWE even managed to make the Royal Rumble boring as hell with the same old on top.
There was potential with this show but like always WWE screw that up with Lesnar and Rousey…two part timers and one that hasn’t even had a match in 3 years.
Same old boring crap. Lesnar vs Reigns – thrice in a lifetime…yeah no thanks. Don’t get WWE obsession pairing these two – their best match was 7-8 years ago and are still trying push this match. No matter how much Vince kicks and screams making Reigns, “the guy”…it’s not happening.
I really hope that news that DVD releases have been re-neogiated and we can see this continue onwards. Not everyone embraces streaming services and the physical DVDs releases are the preferences for alot of people.
While I keep repeating myself, the Rumble blu-ray will buy a day 1 (ha!) buy for me.
Why do they put a question in the synopsis that reads:
“Who will be the ones to make history in this star-studded event?”
…when they’ve already told us who with the pictures of Brock and Rousey?
yes, that has *always* annoyed me (remember the horrific “Fatal 4 Way” cover that literally had all 3 new champions/winners of those fatal 4 ways on the FRONT COVER? wtf?!)
I just now this is a good sign that the wwe ppv releasing on dvd and bluray with elimination chamber, wrestlemania 38 and the rest of the ppv can be on home video.
Listing looks good, will buy either here (US) or there (UK/Europe).
So glad they put the matches and segments from both ”RAW and ”Smackdown” especially the segment of Seth Rollins And Roman Reigns. That one was BRUTAL. AND thank goodness both ”DAY 1” and ”ROYAL RUMBLE” are being released in the united states. Let’s hope they do the same thing for both ”THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER” and ”WRESTLEMANIA part 38”.
