Awesome cover for EC 2014… In MY opinion, if they would have let DB win the title from Orton, it would have ruined a lot of things…
1. Batista’s Return – As much as people hate the living hell out of him right now, Batista’s return would have sucked without him at least getting an opportunity at the title. It would have been irrelevant!
2. DB’s BIG moment…. Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Stone Cold, The Rock… they have all had their big moments at WrestleMania, and if they would have won the title earlier than that… it would have taken away from it!
3. The big match at WrestleMania 30 – Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H which is going to be an incredible match even though we already know who’s going to win and know that DB will go on that night to win the title in the Main Event… it will still be a match to talk about for years to come!
So very smart move by WWE for not giving the title to DB at EC 2014.
Nice cover. I feel like I am instantly in a conundrum with WWE DVD’s. I am an avid collector and own almost everything out there. After having the WWE network a week it seems almost like a waste to buy this on DVD. You will be able to watch this PPV on the network around the same time the DVD is released. You will also be able to watch it in 720p quality. Aside from the fact that myself and many others like owning physical media it just seems like a waste to buy this. I have been very outspoken on this site regarding my disappointment with the lack of Blu Ray releases especially for new PPV’s that are shot in HD. However it now makes sense as to why this is the case. I wonder when the day will come that DVD’s will not even be released anymore by WWE home video. I would never do what some are doing which is selling there collection, but at some point it won’t make sense to buy a DVD and watch poor quality when I can watch in great quality on demand. Anyone else feel this way? Your thoughts…
You raise a valid point but to us folks outside the US (I’m in Canada) where the Network won’t be available till late this year and I’m betting probably not even until early next year, DVDs are still the way to go for the time being. If I had the Network, I would probably only buy Wrestlemania on Blu-ray each year and that would be it because the collector in me would still want to have the Superbowl of wrestling on my shelf in my collection 🙂
I live in Canada too and have the network working. You just need to sign up to a good VPN service and a US PayPal or credit card and you’re good to go. I read the international versions will be inferior to the US when it launches next year. Also have US Netflix and Hulu Plus and the difference is astonishing compared to the Canadian version, we don’t even get Hulu and I doubt we will anytime soon.
I agree with you 100% Steve. Like the new WCW ppv dvd. There is really no point in buying it now. I think I will only buy new documentary’s that come out on blu-ray if they are not gonna be on the network.
Simple, but effective. I like seeing Cesaro and Christian on a cover.
The cover looks awesome
Really like it! And glad Bootista isn’t on the cover 🙂 I’ll be getting this one in spite of the fact that it’s not coming out on Blu-ray; it was a real fun PPV from top to bottom and The Wyatts VS The Shield was worth the price of admission alone. Too bad the chamber match ended the way it did, spoiling a near perfect night… Here’s hoping Wrestlemania delivers on all levels!
I like it, one of the better covers they’ve had in a while.
No Bootista on the cover, interesting.
