WWE’s “Undertaker: The Last Ride” documentary was announced for Home Video back in August with confirmation of a DVD release worldwide, plus both a Blu-ray and “30th Anniversary Collectors Edition” Blu-ray for UK/Europe; the latter to include a bonus mini comic-book and a photo signed by The Undertaker himself!

Though fans in North America will not to be treated to a Blu-ray edition, it was confirmed that the bonus mini comic-book mentioned will be bundled with first-run copies of the DVD in this region.
WWE “Undertaker: Last Ride” DVD Gets US Release Date & Bonus Item
The nationwide release date of the DVD to the U.S. was revealed to be December 15th — but wait, Walmart will have exclusive first dibs on stocking it 4 weeks early on November 17th, and with alternate artwork!
Early Release for WWE’s “Undertaker: Last Ride” DVD (Alternate Artwork!)
The “30th Anniversary Collectors Edition” Blu-ray available in the UK will be a limited edition, originally announced to have just 666 copies available, but fans were updated that this number had been further reduced to only 500 copies. So, ‘Taker will only be signing 500 photos and these could quickly become tricky to get hold of.
In addition to the animated bonus episode “Tales from the Deadman”, last week a list of six “never-before-seen deleted scenes and outtakes” were unveiled as extras for both the DVD and Blu-ray.
And now we get a proper visual, with the official cover artwork!
Next up should be the slipcover artwork for the UK’s Collector’s Edition Blu-ray; that same design will be put to use as the alternate artwork in the U.S. on first-run copies available through Walmart.
We’re also anticipating a pre-order listing to surface soon on Walmart’s site for the early DVD release, and the regular pre-order listings on the likes of Amazon.

Off topic here, but when you think about this, that’s about 5 1/2 hours of footage on one Blu-ray disc. Knowing 5+ hours on a single Blu-ray disc is possible, it’s kind of annoying to think you still had to watch your 5 hour WrestleManias across two Blu-ray discs. Or the kick off matches being excluded from the WrestleMania 33 U.S. release due to the total runtime between the event and the hall of fame.
Besides the point, but I didn’t see why they couldn’t give each night of WrestleMania 36 their own respective disc on the Blu-ray since night one was 3 hours and night two was 3 1/2 hours.
Is that really the best they could do for the cover? Really?
so wwe are only releasing documentaries but not including any matches to fill up the disc time?
not gonna bother buying this or the ruthless aggression sets.
I’m looking forward to finding out what the Wal Mart cover looks like. I hope you post a link to when it goes on sale there.
that being said, if this is the last bluray (at least the last non-ppv bluray. which it probably will be), it’s a fitting one.
and if we’re being honest, the vast majority of important Undertaker matches has already been released, even on releases that are dedicated to him (his classic matches on the 2005 dvd, his gimmick matches on the “deadliest” compilation and his more recent Mania battles on the “Streak” one).
whut: His previous match-collection sets definitely cover in terms of classics.. and personally I’m not high on his matches after the Brock feud ended with HIAC 2015.
So, I am thinkin: an Unreleased collection..combined with unedited material (e.g. Summerslam 2015: remove that stupid blurring of Brock’s FU gesture: finally, an excellent compelling strong story in a WWE ring again…and then they ruin it with a fooking blurring on the bluray!)
Adding to those matches: promos and vignettes from especially The Ministry / Big Evil / American Bad Ass eras, where Mark’s mic-work worked best. (He’s never been the greates talker over all of course)
According to the youtuber in the video, the runtime of the 2-discs DVD / 1-disc bluray is gonna be 5 hours 27 minutes. Obviously, that leaves no room for matches..
I am straight up disappointed, cos WWE at least with the 30th anniv. edition should have added 2 bluray discs full of matches, promos and vignettes from the Deadman’s 30 years WWE-career span. Would be fitting with the theme of this set.
But then again… WM 36 was’nt really that Last Ride after all, was it now..!?! 😉 ( Hint: Survivor Series, Nov. 22 2020: Undertaker WWE debut 30 years ago.. Sting WWE debut 6 years ago, almost on that day. Just sayin..! )
That would be an ideal world, but there hasn’t been any promise of matches – it was only going to be minimal extras here to be honest. I was told just the bonus episode, but we got a little more.
Amazon.co.uk says the 5 hours and 27 minutes runtime, by the way.
Daniel: Yeah, figures.. imo, the charachter Undertaker deserves a treatment on bluray in the likes of Austin’s “..Bottom…”.. Austin might have been the biggest draw in history of WWE..and that Bottom release was from another time where the physical media was a huge draw..
But, I always pictured one finale epic.. one Last Ride in a matter of speaking..of a WWE DVD/bluray..and it would be on the Undertaker.
Well.. guess, WWE will want to make money, obviously, hence, we’ll problaly get the match-collection in a year or two. 😉
Well, can’t disagree there. A big Taker release felt fitting and I hoped for that too, but this is pretty big for WWE DVDs in 2020 considering it looked like PPV only at one point. The signed photo helps too!
Daniel: oooh, absolutely! And I was very pleasent surprised when it turned out that it on top of it, it’s been made for the blu-brand..and on a strictly limited special edition too.. I was a little bit disappointed about the documentary, but..it’s my all time favorite charachter.. I have every previously release on the Deadman..hence, I had to have this one of course. Took a little bit of “Yes..?..No..?” on wheather I should get it, I admit.. but..it’s The Undertaker..! 😉
