  1. Patrick McNamara says:

It says WRESTLEMANIA 36 is going to be coming out on DVD May 5th on the Super Showdown DVD as well. Now if it was a misprint then it’d just be on the Elimination Chamber DVD, but it was on the Super Showdown 2020 DVD as well. So I guess it’s official WWE is planning to release it in physical stores on May 5th a week before it’s”supposed” to be released. I mean I am glad it’s going to be sooner.

  2. In addition, DVD’s/BLU-RAY’s need to be produced of the following Legends…

Big Bossman, Legion Of Doom, Demolition, Natural Disasters, nWo Wolf Pack, British Bulldog, Nasty Boys, Diesel, Razor Ramon, Texas Tornado, Papa Shango, and more from the 80’s and 90’s.

  3. Until a Ultimate Warrior Unreleased Matches DVD is produced, You will never get my business.

    FOREVER!

    • RabidHeat says:

Again – it’s PPV only from now on, so…

      • DDT says:

it is but i do wonder with the new realeases being something different to what we used to if we petition them they may realease something else. Things such as best of NXT and best of raw and smackdown 2019 suddenly make sense again. As does something with a theme maybe Becky Lynch or Roman Reigns.

        • LP1 says:

Petitioning won’t change a thing. What’ll happen is you’ll maybe get 100 people to sign it, WWE will look at it and say “Yeah, no”.

Hypothetically, let’s say WWE does bring back non-PPV releases, it’s gonna be right back to the same problem, which is people saying how much they want something, but then they wait 6 months to a year until it goes on sale for dirt cheap before they buy it, which doesn’t help WWE in the slightest.

          • DDT says:

an excellent point! i would counter that if sales of wrestlemanina and money in the bank are non-existent then it may be that the distributor (wwe does not do its own dvds) either asks wwe for something else to realease or just stops doing dvds. I doubt dvds are that important to wwe anymore though. Does anyone have alist of wrestling companies that still do DVDS? i know IMPACT! Ring of Honor (who still do compilations) Pro-wrestling guerilla, Fight club pro, Combat ZOne all do?

  4. DDT says:

I will not be buying this realease. i do not agree with what wwe are doing in continueing to operate during the COVID-19 epidemic. i do not want a historical record of it in my collection.

    • LP1 says:

Then you won’t be buying any DVDs for the rest of this year most likely.

      • DDT says:

new DVDS maybe but i am taking my time plugging gaps in my collection. Also to support the few indy companies that do DVDS by buying some of there stock while they are inactive.

    • David says:

WWE has always been a shady sleazy company with carny in a suit as the owner, no matter how corporate this company tries to be…even to the point of how ridiculous they basically bribed Florida into making WWE an essential business when Linda announced that her Presidential Super PAC will spend $18.5 million in Tampa and Orlando. Yup…WWE and its wrestlers “essential” services just like the frontline workers, doctors and nurses…look how stupid and ridiculous that sounds.

Vince defenders or Vincels will come out in full force with their b-b-b-b-b-but they’re essential media! they’re bringing families together! we need them to put a smile on our face in these Trying Times™ . Yeah, that is what the world needs, watching empty arena lifeless shows, this is what will get people’s mind off what is going on in the real world, not “will I have a job”, “will I make rent”, “will I be able to provide necessities”…nope wrasslin’ is what I need.

I tend to buy every WM but this will be the first since WM15 i will not buy. I just cannot support this company anymore. I canceled the Network right before WM plus I plan on selling off all my WWE/F DVDs and Blu-rays I’ve collected since 2002 once this clears up.

      • LP1 says:

I love the people who say “I’m not buying the DVD because I don’t support a company that doesn’t care about its workers.” The irony of that statement is by not buying the DVD, you too are also NOT supporting the workers. The wrestlers missed out on a giant bonus pay this year by not having Mania in a stadium. Plus they’re losing out on a lot of bonuses by not working house shows and TV tapings in arenas. Not to mention the ton of merchandise money they’re losing out on on top of everything. The one place where they can actually make back some of that merchandise money (and the lost Mania money) is through sales of this and other DVDs. Granted, it probably isn’t a ton of money, but it’s something.

While I agree completely that WWE is being very sleazy with how they’re handling doing shows going forward, I disagree with the notion that you’re sending WWE a message by not buying DVDs because you disagree with how they’re not taking care of their workers. If you don’t want to support the company, fine, but at least you can support the wrestlers who are still out there risking their health.

      • Hey, David.. man, relax, brotha.. I get what you mean, but, come on.. don’t do something you might likely regret sometime in the future..like selling ALL DVD’s/Blurays since 2002!? That’s not Cool.. 🙁

there are a lot of really great gems from the past, when WWE/WWF achieved phantastic great produced shows with super creative menus and presentations in their DVD’s/Blurays.

For several years, not only the events them selfs, but presentations and extras on the physical medias also, have lacked excitements.

Again..I get what you mean, but you have invested in collecting something that I assume you feel passionated about just like most that come in here.. would it not be a shame throwing it all away after all those years?

I started collecting 2010 where I re-discovered WWE/F..personally I am waiting for the Last Ride to eventually be released..on Bluray I prefer..which will problaly be the final WWE release that I will get..if it gets a release that is.. maybe I will continue with the Royal Rumble release too, but other than that I don’t have the urge and interest anymore for what WWE is bringing to the table.

Why not start with putting your collection away for a while..and check with your self if you after a while will be missing it..a couple of months, half year or so.. if you by then discover that you have not missed it at all, then descide wheather you want to get rid of it or not. Just a suggestion. 🙂

    • Patrick McNamara says:

DDT, I don’t agree with your blanket statement that has no sincere meaning and is only pandering to the mass majority. So congratulations your self righteous indignation is applauded you get your cookie, you get your brownies. Look up Spanish Flu,America 1920s ,you’ll see that was much worse. It was resolved in under a year. With none of the technological advances in medicine that they have today. So petitioning companies that are actually making people smile,is very sickening to me. I have family in the medical field. This disease is horrible but patients are surviving it. I apologize but your comment infuriated me. I could not leave it unanswered.

  5. RabidHeat says:

Why can they not stand the images of wrestlers next to their opponents on the cover? Goldberg next to Strowman, McIntyre next to Brock etc.? Rather than this random jumble of people.

    • LP1 says:

That’s the way they’ve been doing it for years. It’s dumb. Plus there’s no logic to who gets chosen for the cover and who didn’t. Alexa Bliss is there, but no Nikki Cross. Bayley, Sasha, Naomi and Lacey are there, but no Tamina. Street Profits are there, but no Garza & Theory. Morrison and Kofi are there, but no Jimmy Uso.

  6. Andemoine Winrow says:

Nice front and back cover. The event runs over 5 hours and has over 2 hours of bonus features. And i like the d.v.d menu list of the matches.

  7. BAS says:

As I stated in the previous article about the WrestleMania release, I was hoping they would’ve included the planned Takeover: Tampa matches that took place on April 1st and 8th, (NA Title Match, Women’s Ladder Match, Gargano/Ciampa rubber match) but we can be thankful we’re still getting this since there was concern the release would be canceled. And we can especially be thankful we’re still getting the Blu-Ray edition.

WrestleMania for the most part was okay for what it was, but it definitely could’ve, would’ve, and should’ve been better than what it was, and through no fault of their own. In some ways, it reminded me of earlier WrestleManias in the sense of sitting through a plethora of filler matches until we got to the main points of the show.

I understand why some wanted this event postponed as WrestleMania isn’t the same without the pizzazz but honestly, it could’ve been postponed again and ultimately canceled altogether if everything going on right now continued into the hypothetical new date.
