Breaking: Daniel Bryan WWE DVD On The Way

April 28, 2012 by Daniel Bee

Yes! Yes! Yes! Daniel Bryan looks to be the next WWE Superstar in line for the DVD treatment.

This according to shock.com.au, which reveals both Daniel Bryan and Sheamus DVDs are two more planned additions to the Superstar Collection series this summer.

Four titles make up the series – John Cena, Zack Ryder, Daniel Bryan, and Sheamus. Each a single disc DVD, slated to contain five matches and bonus material [pre-order].

WWE Superstar Collection: Daniel Bryan

Since his debut on the very first season of WWE NXT, Daniel Bryan’s career has resembled a roller coaster ride. From his oil-and-water relationship with his NXT Pro, The Miz, through his rocky road from Nexus-member to singles star, to his crowning achievement winning the World Heavyweight Championship, this internet sensation-turned mainstream star has been no stranger to success or controversy, and is never short on words…or wrestling holds. In this first-ever DVD set to focus on Daniel Bryan, fans can own some of the best action featuring this multi-talented Superstar, including his very first match in WWE.

WWE Superstar Collection: Sheamus

With a WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship and United States Championship to his credit, as well as victories in the Royal Rumble Match and King of the Ring tournament, “The Great White” Sheamus can already boast the credentials that have eluded several WWE Hall of Famers. This DVD collection, the first ever to focus on the Celtic Warrior, features five milestone matches from Sheamus’s impressive career, including his shocking first WWE Title win over John Cena in a Tables Match and the riveting finale of the 2012 Royal Rumble.

Thanks to WWEDVDNews readers Lachlan Warman and Matt Olivari for alerting us.

Currently two titles of the Superstar Collection (Zack Ryder and John Cena) are available to pre-order for July in the US. You can click here to get yours from $10.99.

I want submissions count anywhere vs miz & Morrison @ HiaC 10

  2. Vincenzzzzzo says:

I definitely hope at least one of the matches D Bry had with Punk will be on the DVD. Either the one from RAW or the Live SmackDown.

  3. gtoner01 says:

While a Daniel Bryan DVD would be a dream come true, I’m not convinced this will be that DVD. These DVDs sound like a rushed effort with little to no original, enticing content. No! No! No!

    • Vincenzzzzzo says:

well, you’re almost right. These DVD’s are like a quick “spotlight” type deal – not an entire bio with 18 discs. Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. We’ll have to wait another 4 years to get “that” daniel bryan DVD….as you say.

  4. Marco says:

I forgot: Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

  5. Marco says:

Best DVD news ever! I don’t care, that there will only be 5 matches on it. I hope we’ll get: vs. Jericho on NXT, vs. The Miz for the US Title, vs. Ziggler at Bragging Rights, vs. Big Show and Mark Henry at the Royal Rumble, and the 6 Men Tag (Dark) Match from the night after Wrestlemania 28. #D-BryanDVD

  6. NWO 4 Life says:

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Daniel Bryan DVD coming, and one more Yes!

  7. nightmare says:

Does not sound like it will be that much on it I mean 5 matches that really not much at all I pass on this series .I am more excited about the Undertaker one instead .

  8. Nathan says:

I see this sounds exactly like the best of WWE dvd they released in Australia these had 5 matches and went for 90 minutes and no extras there probably all ppv matches..

  9. Roaster says:

Yea Bryan’s ROH set was awesome. CM Punk’s as well. These superstar collection DVDs are a good idea if only they had a better roster. Will get the Bryan one though. The other ones can collect dust at the store. Hope they do an Alberto one or maybe Cody Rhodes. A Christian 3 disc DVD/bluray would be nice too. Also can’t wait for the Wcw,ecw and punk sets!!

  10. wtf says:

in my humble opinion this set is garbage.

  11. Anonymous says:

glad to see a sheamus dvd. he deserves it because he’s one of the biggest superstars in wwe right now along with cena, punk, orton, jericho, and lesnar.

  12. G. Schire says:

Good to hear Bryan will be getting a DVD.

    The Authority, G. S.

  13. Tap Or Snap says:

Si! Si! Si! Si! Si! Si! Si! Si! Si! No body deserves it more than Bryan Danielson. A pure pro wrestler.

  14. indyfan says:

Funny thing is all his matches together in WWE right now can’t compare to one of his matches in ROH. So all you Daniel Bryan fans.. get the dvd set ROH released.

  15. ElectrifyingStun says:

    Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

I really like the concept of these 1 disk superstar collection DVDs. They remind me of those 1 disk sets WWE used to put up of a superstar who hadn’t been there too long. (Austin Uncensored, Brock Lesnar Here Comes the Pain, John Cena Word Life, etc)

  16. Vincenzzzzzo says:

Good news! I’m actually really excited about these Superstar Collection DVD’s. I’m looking forward to them.

  17. Anonymous says:

WWE please make Kofi and Miz DVD’s for this!!!

  18. Daniel Bryan & CM Punk recently had DVDs released from Ring Of Honor (“Bryan Danielson: The American Dragon” & “The Summer Of Punk”), respectively

  19. Supersonic says:

    Should include:

    vs. Chris Jericho – NXT
    vs. Batista – Raw
vs. Miz – Night of Champions 2010
vs. Miz vs. Morrison – Hell in a Cell 2010
vs. Dolph Ziggler – Bragging Rights 2010
vs. Ted DiBiase, Jr. – Survivor Series 2010
    SmackDown MITB – MITB 2011
vs. Big Show – TLC 2011
vs. CM Punk – SmackDown (leave the first Raw match for the Punk blu ray since it has a more Punk-involved post-match)

  20. Tommy B says:

This seems like a great concept; bar one problem. Daniel Bryan, Sheamus and Zack Ryder DVD’s are all great, but it the John Cena one really necessary??

  21. Richard says:

It’ll be nice if these budget releases also make it to blu-ray. I’m done buying DVDs now.

  22. Brandon says:

It would be awesome if Daniel Bryan’s ended up selling the best out of all four.

I wonder if “his very first match in WWE” refers to one of the Velocity or Heat matches he had in 2003, or (more likely) his match with Chris Jericho on the first episode of NXT.

  23. John31 says:

    YES! YES! YES!
