WWE Superstar Collection
– The two latest Superstar Collection titles, on Sheamus and Daniel Bryan, are now available on iTunes and Xbox Live.  Matches from the DVD are split up, each priced at $1.99 (SD) & HD ($2.99), or all matches together as a TV Season at a reduced price of $8.99(SD) or $12.99(HD).  Though it’s still cheaper to buy the physical DVD.

Daniel Bryan: Superstar Collection

Matches Include:

  • Vs Chris Jericho – Debut match on NXT
  • vs Miz – Night of Champions
  • Money in the Bank
  •  vs Mark Henry – Smackdown
  • vs Mark Henry vs Big Show – Royal Rumble 2012

POV: Once again this Superstar collection isn’t the greatest, other than the NXT match with Chris Jericho. The rest are readily available to download so not anything new.

Sheamus : Superstar Collection

Matches include:

  • vs John Cena – Tables Match 2009
  • vs Edge vs John Cena vs Randy Orton – Fatal Four Way 2010
  • vs John Morrison – King of the Ring Finals
  • vs Daniel Bryan – RAW US title
  • Royal Rumble 2012

POV: Much like the previous Superstar Collection, most of these matches are already available to download so these aren’t must haves. Though the Tables match in which Sheamus wins the WWE title for the first time is worth the $2.

– WWE’s other big release of the month was “The 50 Greatest Finishing Moves in WWE History” which sees a countdown of moves, running 1 hour and 52 mins. Digitally, it is available in HD ($19.99) and SD ($14.99) on iTunes, Vudu, Xbox Live and PSN.

Summary: The 50 Greatest Finishing Moves in WWE History presents the most amazing, devastating and bone crunching signature moves in this countdown-style production guaranteed to stir up controversy and banter among the WWE Universe. From Sweet Chin Music to the Rock Bottom, Attitude Adjustment and everything in between, these are the moves guaranteed to bring the masses to their feet and to leave the unfortunate recipient lying on the mat for the inevitable three count. Which moves made the cut, and what is the greatest finishing move in the history of WWE? This home presentation is great for the opinionated WWE history buffs who love to debate which Superstar’s moves are the greatest.

POV: This is a great little video that is interesting for a single digital viewing; not something I would recommend to buy outright but it’s a nice rental (or when it pops up on Netflix).

– Grunt! The Wrestling Movie is now available to download on Xbox Live and iTunes for $5.99 to buy and $3.99 to rent. This movie was originally released in 1986 and is only available in SD.

Description: A documentary crew sets out to unravel one of professional wrestling’s most closely guarded secrets: is former champion “Mad Dog” Joe DeCurso – rumored to have committed suicide after accidentally decapitating his last opponent – really still alive and masquerading as the flamboyant “Marvelous Masked Marvel?

– Slammiversary 2012 is now available to members on TNAondemand.com. The site also now has the first 13 Weekly PPV’s from 2002 available in HD.

Final Resolution 2010 has recently been added to TNAondemand.com, this event features Booker T and Sharmell vs. Robert Roode and Ms. Brooks in a Mixed Tag Team match, and Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong in a No DQ for the Women’s Championship.

Even-though this is late but the 10-19-98 episode of RAW is WAR is missing. It takes place 24 hours after WWF Judgment Day: In Your House.

  2. Ryan says:

i have a great collection of wwe dvds up on ebay for $175 including the rare unforgiven in your house dvd. http://www.ebay.com/itm/190721377629?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

i know this is not the right place but can anyone tell me what region 2 wwe blu-ray that will play in region 1 blu-ray players

    • Dave says:

Summerslam 2011 to Survivor Series 2011 Blu-rays are region free…but i read from people that recent copies are region locked, which i’m not too sure about. Might be a gamble if you buy them now, i don’t think there is anyway of knowing if they would work unless you try them or other actually confirm it.

I imported those from Amazon uk when they came out and they work perfectly on my US PS3.

      • jim says:

thanks i thought that money in the bank 2011was as well

        • Dave says:

Money in the Bank 2011 was not released on Blu-ray in the UK or US.

I wish it was though…definitely one of the best ppvs that deserved Blu-ray treatment.

Summerslam 2011 works well on my PS3. I really had my heart set on purchasing NOC 11, HITC 11, and Survivor Series 2011 on blu-ray in the coming weeks. Where did you read that the blu-rays ordered from amazon.co.uk no longer work? Can anyone confirm this?

I wish there was an authoritative place on the web to find out about this stuff.

        • U.S. customer says:

I just ordered Survivor Series 2011 and Night Of Champions 2011 on blu-ray from Amazon.co.uk on 9/3/12. I will report here whether or not it works on the U.S. PS3. If anyone wants to take a chance and order the Vengeance or Hell In The cell blu-rays, that would be helpful.

  4. Jerichoholic1138 says:

Gotta get Grunt! I used to have the VHS of it and it was awesome.

  5. matthew S says:

netflix has put on the falls Count anywhere DVD the ECW DVD and a second ECW DVD but you have to put in wrestler names to find them and there is the AWE event with Dreamer vs Funk and Nash and DDP vs Rock n Roll Express

  6. SRB says:

I used to watch Grunt! when I was really little actually and I still remember the commentary and how the opening was in black and white. “Ohhhh no! Mad Dog Joe DeCurso just decapitated his opponent”

  7. Dave says:

Its great they started to air Saturday Nights Main Event on Classics…finished watching 03/11/1989 and 11/28/1987 episodes and enjoyed both of them. Surprised how good Hulk Hogan vs Bad News Brown was on the 89 episode and the ultra rare meeting between Randy Savage vs Bret Hart from 87…great match!

Also watched Spring Stampede 98 and was quite enjoyable…of course it was a lot shorter because they removed the Benoit vs Booker T match, but still pretty good…Raven vs DDP was just a wild brawl and loved it!

    • Vincenzzzzzo says:

I’m actually watching the Hogan/Bad News match from Saturday Nights Main Event 3/11/89 right now, lol. Good show. I have a constant smile from listening to Jesse Ventura’s commentary. Classic.
