The official synopsis for WWE WrestleMania 29 on DVD and Blu-ray has been released, which follows below.
It only happens once a year, and in 2013, The Showcase of the Immortals comes to the greater New York City area for WrestleMania XXIX! From MetLife Stadium, the biggest stars in WWE and several returning legends compete on sports entertainment’s grandest stage. Last year, fans witnessed The Rock defeat John Cena in one of the most epic matches of all time. Will the People’s Champ bring it to WrestleMania for the second year in a row? Will Undertaker build on his incomparable legacy by extending his winning streak to 21-0, and is there a brave soul willing to challenge him? Plus, CM Punk, Big Show, Triple H, Sheamus, and several major Superstars strive to cement their legacies and create moments that will own a permanent place in WWE lore.
As previously reported, at this present time only the WrestleMania 29 Home Video editions planned for the Australian market have been revealed. These are a 3-Disc Collector’s Edition DVD, 2-Disc DVD, Limited Edition DVD, and the Blu-ray. Plans for the WM29 DVD in North America will be known in the coming weeks.
The Best of WCW Monday Nitro Vol. 2 was today added to WWEShop.com for pre-order. You can order yours on DVD or Blu-ray format over there.

Two weeks ago we confirmed details of For All Mankind: The Life & Career of Mick Foley on DVD and Blu-ray in April. It was also revealed that a free “Mr. Socko” puppet is planned to be attached to the DVD, or at least an exclusive version of it. This week we are hearing that the “Mr. Socko” gift is planned for worldwide releases of the DVD, not only North America.

Lastly, on the TNA DVD front, the recently speculated TNA Wrestling deal for the UK and Europe is official – Bound For Glory 2012 is available to order now at Clear Vision’s website. We expect the Silver Vision website itself to turn TNA branded midway through this year.

We wish these measure didn’t have to be enforced, and for the most part this is a friendly community that usually requires no interference, but the sudden influx of people using this place to argue lately has brought it on. Debating a topic is absolutely fine, but when two people are blatantly going at it and their replies each consist of one curse after another it’s just a waste of space in this comments section and it’s of no value to anybody.
Play nice. Let’s not ruin what we have. 🙂
Looking forward to Wrestlemania 27, Going with Rock vs Cena 2 but hope they suprise me!!
Attitude Era Fan is such a fag. Go back to school son because your spelling and grammar is bad. Go and jerk off over your Cena blu-ray.
Mate this aint a english exam nor are we in school,
i dont need to go back to school by the looks of it you do, talking about gays and jerking what is wrong with you, you be smoking to much of that crap… dont let it get to your ugly head
Yawn…zzzzzzzzzz
If blu-ray is so good why are some dvd prices higher than Blu-ray? I watch more dvds on my blu-ray player than i do blu-ray. At the end of the day downloads is where it’s at. Soon dvds and blu-rays are only gonna be for those people that love to just stare at their collections on their shelves in their bedrooms!
Blu ray rules!
Gee no “Mr. Socko on the blu ray wow that’s lame
I’m not interested in having a filthy sock with any of my dvds for a gift.
Thank You.
Blu-Ray is a waste of money IMO. It’s not the huge upgrade over DVD compared to DVD over VHS. I took my blu-ray back to the store after about 2 wks. I just don’t see the need for it. Eventually everything will be download anyway.
Ever watch a concert on BR, or any old movie captured on film that was upgraded to HD resolution? There’s a big difference in both audio and video. You’re right, though – VHS to DVD was definitely a giant leap, moreso than DVD-to-BR. BR, however, captured what made DVDs desirable and added high-definition, real time menus and a higher capacity.
Whats the point of that paragraph? No one really cares if you like DVD or Blueray more. And the riveting tale about you taking it back to the store. What a waist of comment space on stuff that no one really gives a shit about.
Just like how you have wasted comment space yourself with your 3 sentences of crap!
Ryan that is just a Stupid Comment ‘Blu-ray is a Waste’ What is wrong with you, You need your head Straightening.
Blu-ray is the best thing to come out in the past 5-6 years, Everything is better than crappy DVD that looks like a pixellated mess in terms of picture, Watch Avatar on Blu-ray in Full 1080p hd on Full HD TV and its blows the crappy dvd version, it looks so lifellike as if your there.
Watch Wrestlemania 28 on Blu-ray and it blows away the crappy DVD Version, it feels like your actually in Miami,
Can you get DTS HD Audio on dvd NO, Only on Blu-ray that makes movies feel like your watching in the Cinema, The sound just comes out of the speakers,
Im sorry but Blu-ray is the real deal, I have over 35 Blu-rays wwe in my collection and they beat all my dvds that i have, i dont even watch the dvd cause the quality is just crap,
Once you watch a blu-ray you wont even go back to watching a dvd cause dvd is so down downgraded,
Im embrassed to watch money in the bank 2011 on dvd cause the quality is just shite,
That deserved a blu-ray release,
More points that Blu-ray will always beat the Over rated DVD yes overated you heard it:
1 Disc Blu-ray has 25gb of space compared to dvd which has 8.5gb..
Blu-ray disc can hold up to 4.5 hours worth of HD Content compared to dvd which holds average 3hrs 15mins…
Blu-ray disc up-scales SD 480i content to near HD which makes the footage more clearer than SD Footage on DVD..
Blu-ray disc has live menu so you can check out the special features whilst the movie is still playing in the background, you cannot do this with dvd as it goes back to the menu and is a tedious process.
Blu-ray disc can hold 1 big game on 1 diss ps3, whilst xbox has to have 3 discs haha..
Blu-ray has superior Audio sound over DVD, dvd you only have 5.1 dolby digital/stereo whilst blu-ray has DTS 5.1 HD audio which just blows dvd out the water..
Blu-ray can hold more special features than dvd, look at recent wwe blu-ray releases they have more content than dvd which is thin compared to blu-ray features..
Blu-ray has better cases that are more steardy than dvd, i take a stable cases over digipack cases that will wore over in time..
Blu-ray just beats dvd
Blu-ray is better than dvd
Blu-ray is awesome
DVD Sucks
You can suck on your dvds then but dont you dare put down Blu-ray..
I love blu-ray im blu-ray fan.. im up to date with technology whilst your living in your past..
Goodbye.
Actually single layer Blu-ray hold 25gb and there is dual layer holding 50gb. I think WWE use 50GB discs.
I read they’re coming out with a 100gb Blu-ray disc too.
Attitude Era Fan i think you must’ve been crying when you wrote this. You are so butt hurt about someone saying that Blu-ray isn’t all that! lol Sounds to me like you are someone that spends too much money on Blu-ray movies and it pisses you off to think some people think it’s overated. Some movies on DVD when played on a Blu-ray player look the same when upscaled. Just to point out i buy both DVD and Blu-ray . Blu-ray are not the future. Downloads are gonna be the future of optical media!
How about you kiss my a**
Know your role and shut your mouth..
DVD looks the same as blu-ray played on a blu-ray player are you mad,
Not point in arguing with a loser like you..
I dont care if the future is download make the most of whats now dont live back in the century like you, you can shove your dvds up your a**
End of..
Well all of the best PPV’s are only available on DVD so in that case you must only like watching the PG era cause that is all that is on Blu-ray. The older matches that you get on the Blu-ray extras are just like upscaled DVD’s anyway.
You sould like your from the US,
So i assume you dont have the exlusive uk tagged classics which i have and have pretty much every classic ppv from the late 90’s to 2002,
So dont say to me i live in the pg era crap, i dont care, im a fan of hd, thats why i support blu-ray,
You just watch your shitty 480i picture then
I am from the uk and i bought all of the tagged classics. And you sound like a retard by telling everyone you stick your dick between you blu ray discs. Get a life you silly twat
How about you do it, Dont call me a twat behind a computer screen makes you look like a dick twat face…
Sorry im not gay.. unlike you people
Guys, stop using this place to argue. Feel free to comment on the site but none of this crap. Continue and it’s a ban for both of you – so who wins then? Cut it out and stay on topic.
Im all cool, i gotta back myself up her, im not letting anyone mug me off like that,
i will forget about it, but i would like a apology
HAHAHAHAAHA you really are a loser. Such a retard
I think I’ll put both of you on the moderation list, so your comments will be pending until approved. We’ll approve them if they are genuine about the news or DVDs, not dumb comments arguing with each other.
You have already lost you retard
I bet you watch them with your favourite uncle aswell. You horrible little gay
Anyone know which store(s) will carry the Socko version of the dvd?
If anyone new it would be on the article, dipshit.
knew*
Cursing=Lack of wit
If anyone was wondering, the TNA BFG DVD is in PAL format.
Ordered it yesterday, it’s arrived today – awesome service as ever.
Mick Foley’s dvd should’ve been TV14 aswell. There are gonna be to many edits on this.
I really need a sock with some sharpie on it.
The 3 disc digipaks always look better in your collection than the 2 disc Blu ray’s do. The dvd’s always have better artwork. This is my only problem with Blu-ray. But HD rocks!
Blu Ray overrated
Only people that don’t own an HDTV and/or Blu-ray player have that mentality.
Or people (like myself) who have a hdtv and watch WWE in HD regularly but can just see it isn’t really that much better. It’s a slightly clearer picture but it’s not like there was ever a vision problem with the dvds.
Please note, if your judging HD just on cable, then it will be compressed from cable companies because they don’t have enough bandwidth to fully support uncompressed HD. Blu-ray on the other hand is not compressed, the picture is A LOT clearer.
The difference between SD and HD is night and day…there is a HUGE difference…people that can’t see that might as well stick to CRT televisions. If you have an HDTV, take advantage of it.
Its like people buying an HD console and using the composite cables and playing on 20 year old tv…just a huge waste.
Blu Ray Superior, DVD inferior..
I wonder if TNA Will ever find a new U.S Distributor? I miss buying new DVDS at FYE.Their shipping and handling is a rip-off
Ordering from TNA is a gamble to begin with. I ordered their twin-packs twice and was given the incorrect packs both times. I never got the right order. How hard is it to put something in a box?
I ordered from ShopTNA few years ago during their Slammiversary deal with signed photos and three original TNA DVDs from 2003 package (Best of NWA-TNA Title matches, Best of Bloodiest Brawls and Best of X-Division). It was a bad experience…it took about 1.5 months for them to ship out, they wouldn’t respond to my emails or anything.
Luckily i was still in the dispute window with Paypal so filed one and they refunded my money few days later. Funny thing is they said it was shipped a week or so after my order was placed but no confirmation email was sent and order status wasn’t updated and i actually received it couple days after my refund…so basically i got that package for free.
Haven’t ordered from them since, so not sure if its improved or not.
I get ShopTNA exclusive DVDs from ebay from seller Wrestlingstore.co.uk, very fast shipping even in Canada (takes about 4-5 days to arrive) and prices are pretty good once converted.
I wonder if the Blu-Ray versions of the Foley set will come with a Mr. Socko…damn it, I want a Mr. Socko!!!
Blu ray all the way!
But the Blu-ray cases still suck
BLU RAY!
WOO! TNA DVD’s return to the UK! Finally! Not seen one out since early 2012.
I’m guessing the Limited Edition version of WM29 will be packaged in a tin similar to WM23 and 24. Surprised they’re releasing a 2 Disc version when the 3 Disc collector’s edition is like a few dollars more which includes the extras and full HOF ceremony.
Keep in mind the info above about the WM29 editions is for the Australian market, like it says. As I remember Australia had a 2 disc version last year but the US didn’t. The exclusive/limited edition one may just be something like dog tags attached to the 3 discer which was the case for WM26, 27 and 28 as FYE exclusives.

About the dog tags, I’ve gotten a couple DVDs over the years that came with dog tags. I didn’t go out looking for them, I just happened to be at the store that was selling that version. I think I took a look at them when I opened up the case and never gave them a second thought. Do people put them on and wear them out?
