Heads up, the release date of “The Best of RAW & SmackDown Live 2017” has been brought forward by 3 WEEKS in the United States!
WWE previously had the 3-disc DVD set scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th but indications are that it is now on the way for Tuesday, February 6th instead. This release will present 32 matches and segments; the greatest moments witnessed on RAW and SmackDown during the course of 2017.
The disc runtimes are below. All in all, that’s approximately 8 hours and 47 minutes of footage.
DISC 1: 2 hours and 53 minutes.
DISC 2: 2 hours and 58 minutes.
DISC 3: 2 hours and 56 minutes.
The move in release time appears to have been made to ‘make room’ for two new 2018 titles also coming in February, which you’ll find out more about later in this article.

A new year of WWE Home Video releases is about to kick off!
The “Best PPV Matches 2017” DVD will be the first one to hit stores in the United States, officially available this Tuesday. WDN reader Juan Munoz got hold of an early copy and sent in a first look.
Expect to find around 20 matches on this one. Can’t wait? Then watch the trailer or this sneak peek.
Two new WWE DVD offerings for February 2018 can now be announced!
A collection bundling past releases, named “4 Film Favorites: Ultimate Superstars Collection”, was just scheduled for February 13th. All signs point to this being a 4-disc DVD set that will feature classic Superstar documentaries on Randy Orton, John Cena, Batista and Chris Jericho.
WWE Home Video brings you a definitive set highlighting the careers of some of WWE’s biggest Superstars. Witness the incredible transformation of “The Viper” in Randy Orton: Evolution of a Predator. Experience a day in the life of a 16-time World Champion in The John Cena Experience. Witness major matchups and moments from one of the most powerful forces in WWE history with Batista: The Animal Unleashed. Plus, relive the storied career of Y2J in Breaking The Code: Behind The Walls of Chris Jericho. The Ultimate Superstars Collection is a must-have for all members of the WWE Universe.
Another title similarly bundling together classic WWE DVD releases is also scheduled for February.
The details are still to be confirmed but the name “4 Film Favorites: Essential WWE Collection” suggests it will likely present 4 ‘essential’, must-own WWE DVDs from the past in one box.
In 2018, for the first time ever, WWE will produce a yearly retrospective on the NXT brand with the “Best of NXT 2017” DVD.
We’ve now received an up-close pack shot of the US version which you can check out below. As for the content, expect to find 8 hours and 52 minutes of footage inside. Disc runtimes are as follows:
DISC 1: 2 hours and 53 minutes.
DISC 2: 3 hours.
DISC 3: 2 hours and 59 minutes.

The Cena and Batista docs aren’t even their proper documentaries on their career, but more like “fly on the wall” backstage things, so even if I didn’t have any of these docs the set would be a mega pass for me, personally.
I look forward to the announcements of the Unreleased themed DVD’s.
Me too.
Alot of the pre order dates for the DVDs are not matching up with your dates on best there a week ahead of schedule to be released and I can’t find the DVDs to preorder on Amazon so I don’t know what’s going on with all that
On best buy*
I’ll re-check our dates since WWE must have had a shuffle but pretty sure most are fine. Amazon is for some reason delaying listing them for pre-order, but should fix itself soon.
Idk like clash of champions on best buy is saying it’s coming out on the 23rd and the best ppv matches DVD is now saying it came out on the 2nd but it said it was coming out on Tuesday the 9th but amazon doesn’t have either of them listed yet it’s just weird
first! boo those 2 arent very good!
Is WWE only doing “Best Of” DVD’s now? What happened to the documentary style DVD’s of wrestlers?
They haven’t stopped. Hardyz (one of the next to get a release date) could have a documentary and I’m betting the AJ DVD later in the year will have one.
Hopefully the AJ Styles DVD and an unreleased classic set is released by the summer.
I hope they do another unreleased matches. They need to release some of them old coliseum matches that you use to rent out of video stores
