Following the success of ECW Unreleased Vol 1, WWE delves even deeper into the ECW archives, delivering even more hardcore action that fans continue to demand. The voice of ECW, Joey Styles, returns to call the action as only he can for over 7 hours of previously unreleased ECW classics. From ECW stalwarts to WWE Legends’ stints on the hardcore circuit, this compilation is a must have for the hardcore aficionado.
Several lost battles are presented, such as:
- The first ECW match between Extreme Originals Tommy Dreamer and Tazz
- WWE Hall of Famers Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) & Terry Funk squaring off
- Aerial warfare between Chris Jericho and Sabu
- Matches for the ECW Championship, Japanese death matches and of course, Mexican lucha libre.
Expect to see ECW Unreleased Vol. 2 up for pre-order on retail sites in the coming weeks.
Don’t forget to take advantage of WWEShop’s massive DVD sale – it ends tomorrow!
There are 200+ titles included in the promotion, many of which are priced at just $4.99-9.99. There are plenty of Blu-rays in there too.
Gangstar Vegas is a surprisingly unpleaszant spoort that is a bit too broken and a bit too hollow to advocate.
Will the infamous Chair throwing incident at Hardcore Heaven 94 between Cactus Jack and Terry Funk be on this DVD set?
It hasn’t been confirmed yet, however that particular match certainly would be fit the theme of the DVD perfectly.
ECW was still crappy wrestling all for a shock value, but they did have one of the hottest valets ever in Elektra.
Ha, they need to have some of New Jack’s matches on there… maybe then he’ll stop being a bitter, washed-up punk! Nah, he’d still be the same!
They should include the ECW tag team title match of Danny Doring and Amish Boy with Elektra against Team 3D or someone.
We need more Dudley Boys on this set and Please RVD vs Lance Storm from 99
why does ecw get all these dvds and wcw only gets few thats so bs
WCW has had Best Of Nitro 1 and 2, Rise and Fall Of WCW, Best Of Starrcade, Best Of Clash, Monday Night Wars (ok, that was 50/50 WCW and WWE), and they’ve got the War Games Anthology coming up as well. Seems to be a decent amount of stuff to me.
They also have NWO Revolution as well
Gimme some Michinoku pro action.
When do we finally get an NWA Unreleased and a WCW Unreleased?
Sabu vs Jericho=SOLD!!!
Yes! I was at that very small Jericho/Sabu match! My first shot of being on Blu ray. Ha!
E, C F’N W!
Sounds good but I wonder if wwe will tiptoe around the matches with stronger violence and blood. On an unrelated note, why is royal rumble anthology vol.3 so expensive all of a sudden on amazon.com? It currently runs anywhere from $77 to $180!
wow…I gotta think about selling my RR anthology Vol. 3. I got it for $30ish.
Great to see Sabu vs Jericho making it onto this release!
I wouldn’t mind seeing a “WCW Unreleased” set for mostly PPV bouts. WCW has a couple good DVDs, but I think there’s room for one more.
I bet Vince Mcmahon is wondering why are ECW and WCW video releases selling better then his own companies videos. Then he counts the money and smiles 🙂 LOL!
I’m pretty sure this release will be just as good enough for a volume 3 I just hope we see more Raven on this release!
It seems that WWE sees more success in their past content more than their current content. I’m really surprised they haven’t caught on. The only time they did was when they released The Rise & Fall of ECW, and during that time, they didn’t mind trying something old, new again, and it worked… until they wanted to transform it into the same thing they were already doing without it, then it failed again.
