It’s a shame the US Title DVD will be largely useless because there wont be any Chris Benoit matches and he was in so many great matches both on PPV and TV in WCW and WWE and is one of the names associated the most with that belt.
In a perfect world, they would include the 13/1/2006 title match where Randy Orton replaces Booker T and wins the vacant US Title against Benoit for Booker but unfortunately, that wont be the case. At least that episode is up on the Network.
they should replace the best of seven series with the best of five series booker t had with john cena in 2004
i don’t think it will be shame thats just how wwe is now. i mean unless its a gimmick match like TLC or Steel Cage or Chamber then we arnt gonna get him in dvds and it sucks but its just something people gotta deal with
Well, it IS a shame. But one would’ve hoped that when they regained their balls and allowed Benoit to be featured on the WWE Network, they’d also loosen up a bit with DVD releases. After all, they mention and feature him in “best of” lists without problem whenever they release a new book (30 Year of WM, the Attitude Era etc).
I don’t think the Orton vs Benoit match you mentioned wasn’t for the title it was part of the Booker T/Benoit 7 match series and the title match was on No Way Out 2006 a month later.
I’m talking about match #7 where the champion would be crowned. Orton won that and Booker became the champion. Would’ve been constantly mentioned in historical context by WWE if not for their stance on Benoit’s existence.
Is it just me, or does WWE love putting Charlotte on every damn DVD comp cover?
I’m starting to wonder why Curt Hennig vs The Giant, Steve Austin vs Great Muta & Lance Storm vs Mike Awesome are there as they weren’t very good matches.
I’m hoping to see Goldberg vs Raven and Booker T vs John Cena (Best of 5 Series) matches as they were more important in historical terms.
i can go with out goldberg raven since thats already on wcw vol 2 and goldberg bluray dvd i rather see much rarer tv match
You’re missing the point. The U.S. Title was Goldberg’s first in WCW while he was on his undefeated streak and he would go on to still be that while he became world heavyweight champion. It’s common sense to use this match for the historical reference.
Goldberg sucked
Goldberg was the man. Definitely could use one Goldberg match, i.e., Goldberg vs Raven or Goldberg vs Sid from Halloween Havoc for the Historical reference. Also, I still want my Sting vs Austin tournament final match from August 1991.
Here ya go. Punch kick punch punch jackhammer pin. Goldberg match in historical context.
Better than the current crop of WWE and NXT wrestlers. Spotfest, botch, spotfest again. Wrestlers today don’t know how to wrestle, talk, cut promos or use ring psychology. Bunch of untalented posers!
Today’s superstars make Goldberg watchable.
Ask Bret Hart about botches from Goldberg.
A match from NXT? And it’s Ceasaro vs Kidd?! Yeah! This is gonna be awesome.
Magnum TA hell yeah. Now tomorrow I wanna see his cage match against Wahoo and one of his classics against Tully.
It looks way better than expected! I was sure it would mainly be repeats, glad that’s not the case.
ok this might be one of the best dvds/blurays are released in years!!
I am very impressed with the match listing so far! It should be in the running for Blu-Ray of the year!
Magnum TA. Now you’re talking!
ABSOLUTELY
