In a recent post on his blog (www.jrsbarbq.com/blog) Jim Ross revealed some exclusive details of CM Punk’s upcoming home video project:
The new, @CMPunk DVD will be released in October and the producers said that Punk has been VERY hands on this project including hand picking virtually every element that will make the final edit.
We will have more details on this set in the coming weeks.
Again courtesy of Shock Entertainment the synopsis for Randy Orton’s Superstar Collection DVD has been released.
It’s in The Viper’s blood to be a Superstar in the ring – both his father and grandfather were in the business – perhaps that’s what motivated him to become the youngest Heavyweight Champion in WWE History. Randy Orton brings his own style and character to his matches, and fans have been following his career since his WWE debut in 2000. 12 years later, the Apex Predator is still a deadly force in the ring, and his opponents are wary of his devastating RKO finishing move. As this is only the 2nd DVD collection dedicated to Randy Orton, fans will be keen to collect more matches from one of WWE’s most popular Superstars competing today.
Although a US release is yet to be scheduled, the set will be released on September 5 in Australia – so a US release in the fall looks likely.
In case you’ve missed it; the Extreme Rules 2012 DVD has now been released. As our pre-release pictures last week revealed the set is rated TV-14, the first PPV release in a little while to carry this rating.
Get your Extreme Rules 2012 DVD now from Amazon.com for only $11.99…
While we don’t have any update yet on SilverVision’s future releases; Wild Wednesday is still up and running. This week, fans in the UK and Europe can pick up Ladder Match 2: Crash & Burn Blu-Ray for just £7.99. The sale starts from 10am tomorrow and runs until 10am on Thursday May 31, 2012.
wwe row kane vs the big show the later mach i have brock lester he is strognges men jhon cen
why is it taking so long to get a match listing on this they usually release them months in advance like the wcw clash set and the ecw set its really aggravating
Because silvervision in the uk/europe normally release the listing as early as possible but since their is problem at their end and no communication on facebook their is no listing so daniel cant put the listing up as he usually does for releases or i could be wrong and he gets it from somewhere else.
we going to find out tomorrow june 1st if silvervision is going to be no more!!
You gotta remember half of these matches were released years ago dating back to 2004 with alley fight on the hall of fame 04 dvd, you aint guna get that dvd out of your collection just to watch that match i rather it be on this set and have all the matches on 1 set including up-scaled footage to blu-ray which will look nice, same goes for the hbk vs hhh match at summerslam 2002 that was released time ago when from the vault shawn michaels dvd came out are you going to get that dvd out just to watch that match, it just good to have all these matches in one place and with foley hosting its going to be interuging, that wcw match between road warriors and sting & booker t is really good match. You gotta remember newer fans coming in now are going to pick this set up and will see the best matches despite them being repeated on other sets!! it just the way it is now, im not to fussed to be honest because you going to watch the dvd/blu-ray for the unreleased matches and the repeated matches from the other set will go with flow nicely with the dvd in my opinion and you wont really care to be honest,
people just like complaining lol there is no win win situation thesedayz just be happy with something getting released remember the best sets are still to come this just to fill in time and attract casual fans who can kick back open up a can of cold drink and relax and watch this set with the fan on full blow 😉 😉
Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I’ve heard people say that Survivor Series 2011 blu-ray is region free, and I know there were some articles/comments from readers on this site confirming it. Just saw a post below stating that it isn’t region free anymore? Just wondering if anyone can help me out, whether it’s region free or not before I order it from Amazon UK. Thanks
Survivor Series 2011 is not region free anymore as new stock of it has prevented this and region b locked now which is unfortuante for american fans, if you can find older stock of it then its region free but copies of it now it is region b locked!! Also Summerslam 2011 is not region free and region b locked!!
Thanks for that. Much appreciated.
I just imported Survivor Series 2011 blu ray and it worked for me

Yes maybe when we buy the falls doubt anywhere WWE can throw in a seven year old mark that we can teach all about the matches that came out on DVD in 2006! Bring on the repeats!
I think what everyone should remember is that these matches will (more than likley) be those listed on the packaging, thus they will list the matches and superstars which would appeal to casual fans – to influence an impulse purchase.
Why don’t we wait for the full match list before making a definitive decision on “Falls Count Anywhere”?
Looks Ok even though the 3 wwe matches are already on dvd,not sure about the other 3,but it still looks great for people that don’t already own.
Careful everyone, you dont want to dislike the matches announced so far. Otherwise people will be telling you that if you dont like it dont buy it and then saying they’re tired of hearing about complaining. Youll also hear that YOU may already have those matches but the younger audience does not, so it’s a great chance for them to get these “rare” matches.
Shame on me for looking forward to a dvd set. Shame on me for being letdown. How dare I feel let down for buying every dvd set that WWE puts out and then when another comes out (that i was excited for) to see it full of repeats.
Oh wait i love repeats!!
Yes I love repeats!!!!! We want more repeats!!!
Yes I love repeats!!!!! We want more repeats!!!
Yes, but now you can watch the same match with a small kid from the WWE universe who is yet to see it
more Wcw Cactus Jack!
Alley Fight was on HOF dvd, should have been Bootcamp match vs Shieky Baby instead. Sting/Cactus will have edited Ventura commentary like it was on Foley’s dvd. Would rather see McMahon bloodbath vs Hhh when he won title on Smackdown then the Flair match that was on VKM dvd.
I love some of those matches. Looking forward to getting that
Alley Fight being on that DVD is awesome. Rest of the listings doesn’t interest me because I either own them, or they suck (that WCW Uncensored tag match, for example). Hope the rest of the DVD is good.
Just ordered the Ladder Match 2 Bluray from SilverVision. Two weeks in a row I’ve picked up their Wild Wednesday Bluray offers!
I’ve seen the new ECW DVD at two different stores, Fye in Greenville, SC and Kmart here in town already. They only had the DVD version though not the blurays.
@Tony. Our best buy didn’t have it either, I bought mine at Walmart though.
@Justin
I got my Extreme Rules DVD today. I found it at Walmart too.
Anyone who is thinking of buying the Extreme Rules DVD, there are very few edits. The only edit I noticed was that they edited out CM Punk almost falling off the top rope before doing the table elbow drop spot. I would have liked to see the entire match unedited, but the WWE edited the spot so well that anyone seeing the match for the first time wouldn’t know it was edited.
The cameraman falling down during the Orton-Kane match, Cena’s promo, the blood, the “Goldberg” chants, and Brock licking Cena’s blood off his hand are all on the DVD and not edited.
hopefully we get last man standing matches like triple h vs chris jericho, and triple h vs randy orton.
@Tony I went to work today and we did not have it at my best buy and I checked and none in the district had it either. as for the prices you mentioned I know for a fact that CP started at 20 bucks and has always been so. but as of mitb the ppv dvds have been getting cheaper. Usually about 14.99 or so. I remember this same store before I worked there, they were selling extreme rules 2009 for 24.99 yet all the other ppv dvds at the time were 19.99. odd indeed.
that’s interesting stuff…thanks.
Did anyone buy Extreme Rules today at a store? None of my local Best Buys are selling it. Speaking of Best Buy, they are selling Money in the Bank 2011 for $9.99 and Capitol Punishment for $19.99. That doesn’t make any sense!!
The ECW DVD/Blu-Ray comes out next Tuesday so it shouldn’t be in any Best Buys stores unless they break the street date and decide to sell it early.
Correction: My error – you posted about Extreme Rules PPV – thought you meant the new ECW that is coming out.
Looks great so far for The Fall Count Anywhere I hope they add matches that has not be release yet so far looking amazing .I wonder what the blu ray features will be
I’m liking the matches so far for Falls Count Anywhere. Glad they got some WCW matches on there. I’m actually very excited for that Slaughter vs Patterson match. If shown on TV today, people would think that match came out of the Attitude Era. Great match! Can’t wait.
I still see people crying in the posts below mine. It gets more pathetic by the day.
Some interesting news on the Silver Vision situation perhaps: on the UK website of Amazon, you can preorder “WWE Live in the UK april 2012”, which is scheduled to be released by SilverVision on August 6th. No mention of other titles for Europe however.
Probably doesn’t mean anything, Amazon is generally pretty slow in updating. They just took off Wrestlemania 28, when it has been known for couple months.
I also read that later copies of Summerslam 2011 to Survivor Series 2011 Blu-rays are region locked now, i read this from someone that imported them recently. Possibly the whole situation of WWE and Silver Vision is likely WWE finding out Silver Vision were releasing the Blu-rays in region free format which is violating their license agreement with WWE.
For what it’s worth Silver Vision commented on that and said the whole situation is not related to region free Blu-rays.
Will those Blu-Rays play on NTSC without the PAL look?
When connecting your Blu-ray player via HDMI, the whole “PAL look” on NTSC is non-existent. It will still look crisp.
I have all the UK imports and they look amazing on NTSC television, there is no lag or framerate issues.
I have a few of the Tagged Classics, as well as an ECW PAL DVD and, even with HDMI, it still has the framerate issues. Is your TV 60Hz or 120Hz? That’s the only thing that I think could account for the difference.
My tvs are 120hz…lag is present with DVDs but with Blu-ray none is present. Also depends on the player too, some convert to NTSC very well but others do a crappy job (mostly the cheapo players).
I just ordered Survivor Series 2011 blu-ray, from Amazon UK last week. What a bummer.
Hey Dave, just read your post, was going to buy Survivor Series blu-ray from Amazon UK, because I read on here from earlier articles that it was region-free. Are you saying if I do, I can’t play them? I live in Canada.
Initially they were region free…if you bought them when it came out they would be fine, but seems like new batches have them locked now.
So it seems like it was a mistake on Silver Vision part and seems like articles and comments are here tipped them off and from TLC 2011 they fixed it.
Not sure how you can tell now without opening and playing it.
“Randy Orton brings his own style and character to his matches, and fans have been following his career since his WWE debut in 2000.”
Really? That’s some revisionist history right there. Randy debuted on SmackDown in April 2002. They need to pay better attention to details.
Yeah, let’s knock WWE for a typo. smh
If it was a typo It wouldn’t be a big deal, but they then write “12 years later, the Apex Predator is still a deadly force in the ring”. So it’s not a typo. They meant to write 2000.
They are a professional company producing an official release. Typos shouldn’t be acceptable, especially when you consider they could and should be hiring proofreaders like every other legitimate company who values professionalism and respects their audience. That said, they do have time to fix the mistake before shipping the DVDs.
Might not be a mistake. I believe Randy started in WWE developemental in 2000 for OVW…so they might be counting his tenure there. A lot of that stuff was readily available at one time.
What’s all this only releasing part of the list stuff? Why don’t they just release the full list?
Austins on the cover it looks like to me but very cool which I will buy if the line up keeps it the way it is. Probably the best release of 2012.
terrible matches so far
the street fight summerslam match most already have, that fully loaded match was on a dvd, can’t remember which one, and the cactus sting match was on the mick foley dvd
that summerslam match was also like 45 min including entrances, so thats like 1/6 the set seeing how the recent clash clocked it at under 7 hours
The strap match with Triple H and the Rock is on Greatest Superstars of the 90’s dvd.
I’m drawing a blank on the street fight being released outside of the SS 02 DVD and the Summerslam Anthology? What other sets is it on?
Shawn Michaels From the Vault is where you can also find the unsanctioned match with Triple H.
Falls count anywhere isnt looking too good so far.
That’s a pretty awesome list of matches right there. 6 matches = 2 discs so far??? haha
that’s a great selection of matches. some of those matches were pretty bloody too, so this is TV-14! awesome
