This is a great concept, it’d be cool if there were a DVD of the Great American Bash that followed this as well….wwe should release more nwa/wcw themed DVDs because they are always HUGE sellers. Here’s another idea, how bout a history of Smokey Mtn Wrestling DVD?

  6. John says:

That is awesome! Let’s make it real!!

  7. Love these. Great job!

  8. John Anderson says:

This is amazing! I wish the WWE would put as much effort into these sets & making them worth the money for both casual fans & the collectors. I was happy to see Chamber of Horrors included. A Halloween Havoc set isn’t complete w/ out it!

  9. Bruce Brown says:

    Awesome Job

  10. insanetombstone96 says:

    Great concept!!

  11. KarlKayfabian says:

I reread the listing…its still awesome.

  12. Anonymous says:

The truth is that they could release all 12 events unedited on 3 Blu-Rays in perfect DVD/broadcast quality if they wanted to. Here’s hoping they do that!

  13. Feed Me says:

I will definitely be giving this one a miss! horrible DVD.

  14. Lendus1985 says:

  16. alvaro says:

6 more days for the attitude era DVD match listing. After the election. That Linda ha

    • TBG says:

You never know, if Linda McMahon’s opponents win the federal election, they might have to go PG on all the releases just to stay safe, so this could be our one last chance at a proper Attitude era release. To think that McMahon’s Democrat opponents allowed the economy and jobless rate to stay in as bad of shape as it was when they took office 4 years ago AND doubled both the cost of gasoline and the deficit, yet still might win the election?!? If someone were to tell me that I wouldn’t even believe it were possible because that math doesn’t add up. But, I’m not American so maybe they skip those types of math classes in my country. 🙂 Just like in the wrestling business, anything can happen. 🙂 Whatever the case, I’m really looking forward to the Attitude era DVD and hope there’s more to come like it. Maybe we’ll finally get a match listing on November 7th! LOL

  17. Brad Attitude says:

WWE should bring this PPV back Halloween Havoc for one night in October in the near future and as bring in guys like Kevin Thorn, The Zombie, Boogeyman, Doink the Clown and maybe Papa Shango.

  18. Mongoose Wizard says:

I really wish was real! Halloween Havoc 1996 was the very first PPV I watched and 1998’s was the first I ever bought! And yes Halloween Havoc has always been one of my personal favorite ppv’s I wish WWE would have kept Halloween Havoc going! But then again who knws it might have become our worst nightmare :/ But good job creating this concept it’s one of the best!

  19. frank d says:

i so hope wwe makes this dvd/blu-ray because i so want it.

  20. Anonymous says:

and u left out the greatest match ever from halloween havoc,moron…..hogan vs warrior from 1998!

  21. KarlKayfabian says:

Bravo on the match selection and concept!

  22. nightmare says:

I would be the first one to buy these for sure and I don;t even collect anymore just I really enjoy the WCW old ppv and Halloween Havoc was one of my favorites .Amazing job on the work and the listing just too bad will never see it ..Why I don;t have clue

  23. nightmare says:

I really wish Vince you just make this instead of the crap they do release I mean come on you know these would sell for sure .

  24. captain planet says:

Your covers are always so well-made!

  25. Brad Attitude says:

This is an excellent idea for an fantasy concept and one that should be sold to the public. I do like some of the segments added on the extras but I don’t agree with some of the matches.

This would be my list of the “Best of” if it was in chronological order:

■Thunderdome Match: Ric Flair and Sting vs. Terry Funk and The Great Muta (Halloween Havoc 1989)

  26. Jeff Copeland says:

omg i would so fucking buythis halloween havoc 98 was first wcw ppv i got on tape and i loved WWE MAKE THIS DVD NOW DAMM IT WE DEMAND HALLOWEEN HAVOC ON DVD 😀

  27. Anonymous says:

I love the idea. The only thing is that considering there were only 12 events, I can’t understand why they just don’t put out an affordable 6 Blu-Ray set and no DVD release. This type of approach would really help grow their Blu-Ray market.

    • Dave says:

6 Disc Blu-ray sets aren’t cheap…some range in the $60-$80 depending on the shows or movie, and to be really honest WWE’s current market likely don’t even spend more than $25 on DVDs/Blu-rays.

Take the Survivor Series Anthology for example, they didn’t even finish it…i assume because the first 2 were probably too expensive for the average fan. Only hardcore fans will spend those amounts and the complete anthologies were also in the $100+ range, which again were targeted towards to small segment.

The “Best of” sets are the best way for WWE to target a mass audience and cutting costs.

Your best bet is get Classics on Demand which air full WCW ppvs…if you have a DVD recorder you can burn to DVD directly.

  28. Luis says:

I would most definitely buy this compilation. It has lots of great matches.

  29. Harry Faversham says:

Oh nice one! I would definitely buy this. Love that cover.

  30. Supersonic says:

AGE IN THE CAGE? CHAMBERS OF HORRORS? HOGAN VS WARRIOR 2?

    FUCK YES~!

  31. Luke says:

WWE should replace Hell in a Cell with Halloween Havoc.

    • Vincenzzzzzo says:

I agree. They could still have a Hell in a Cell match as the main event if they wanted to. That kind of match fits the PPV description.

  32. Vincenzzzzzo says:

Nice cover design on this. This pay-per-view always had great matches on them. The whole set is great, but disc 2 looks awesome.

Halloween Havoc is the one pay-per-view I always hoped WWE would include on their yearly schedule. It would have worked great if they started using it right after 2001 when WCW closed, becuase the Undertaker could have been in the featured main event match every year. They could have had casket matches and buried alive matches.

  33. ESome1980 says:

I like the set a lot, but it should be chronological…I wish all of the fantasy concepts would be reality!! They are all top notch..keep up the good work!!

  34. Steven Jackson says:

This is an ok set, but most of the best Halloween Havoc matches have been released already. I was suprised with the layout of this set but it has some good matches on it (notably Vader vs. Cactus Jack and Terry Funk/Great Muta vs. Ric Flair/Sting) but it isn’t my favourite fantasy set I sadly have to say.

  35. CW says:

If this is a “Best of…”, there’s no way Hogan-Warrior II should be on there. Otherwise, great job! Love these fantasy concepts!

    • Marty says:

      Obviously, agreed about Hogan-Warrior II.

Ask yourself this, though: If the WWE ever did do a Best Of Halloween Havoc, would they not put Hogan-Warrior II on there? Of course they would. It goes with their style of producing these things.

    • Vincenzzzzzo says:

I already see Hogan vs Warrior on the match listing…Did they have 2 matches together in WCW?

  36. Markus says:

I would prefer it chronological. But I can only repeat myself: Please WWE. Sell WCW PPV Sets.I would really buy them. Everyone. Even World War III .

  37. Joe Israel says:

Even if the match itself is terrible, you just can’t have a Halloween Havoc set without including the infamous “Chamber of Horrors” match from 1992. It is a classic for all the wrong reasons.

  38. JoergFCK says:

Great set but i would prefer a chronolocical list…

  39. SRB says:

Gotta’ be honest here. Love the idea, listing and length. Hate the cover. If I see another one of Mysterio’s superhero-like costumes I’m gonna be sick.

  40. Ralf88 says:

    Great idea!
