Today we’re taking a look at the first two WWE DVD releases of 2020, beginning with the Crown Jewel Pay-Per-View which officially released on January 6th to fans in the United Kingdom.
Crown Jewel 2019 marks the first Crown Jewel Pay-Per-View to make it to Home Video and this installment was memorable for “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt capturing the WWE Universal Championship from Seth Rollins on a night Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez would battle it out over the WWE Championship, while Tyson Fury also stepped into a WWE ring to take on Braun Strowman.
Brock Lesnar goes head-to-head with MMA rival Cain Velasquez–in his first-ever WWE match–for the WWE Championship. Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury takes off the gloves in his WWE debut against “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman.
Saudi Arabia holds its first-ever women’s match when Lacey Evans battles Natalya. Universal Champion Seth Rollins defends his championship against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. And Team Hogan (Roman Reigns, Shorty G, Ali, Ricochet & Rusev) takes on Team Flair (Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre & King Corbin) in the main event!
Plus, much more!

TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2019 was the first WWE DVD release to hit the United States this year and, after some delay, has now been listed here on Amazon.com.
The UK and Europe will get the new TLC DVD in February, and it follows to Australia in March. In the US edition now in stores, you’ll find a free Asuka trading card inside the packaging.
TABLES… LADDERS… AND CHAIRS, OH MY!
“The Big Dog” Roman Reigns looks to protect his yard and knock King Corbin off his throne in a TLC Match where anything goes and tables, ladders, chairs are legal. The New Day defends the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The Revival in a Ladder Match. The love triangle between Bobby Lashley, Rusev and Lana continues as The All Mighty takes in The Bulgarian Brute in a Tables Match.
How will Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch fare when they put their differences aside to challenge The Kabuki Warriors for their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in a TLC Match? Bray Wyatt leaves the Firefly Fun House to do battle with The Miz. WWE’s version of the demolition derby close out 2019 with absolute destruction and chaos!

Our WWE DVD Classic Content page was completed earlier this week which means you can now access the content of over 100 more WWE DVDs than we originally had listed across the site.
Reason being, these “classic” titles cover all of the WWE DVD releases that came before WrestlingDVDNetwork.com was invented. By the way, we’re about to hit our 10 year anniversary this April (thanks everyone! 💖)
The official WWE DVD and Blu-ray website in the UK, WWEDVD.co.uk, has been offline since last weekend, leading to many WDN readers emailing in to ask if the site shut down.
Good news to report — we have word from those in the know that it hasn’t closed down, instead it’s facing some technical difficulties right now and we hear it’s being worked on for a hopeful return soon.
Down under in Australia, they’ve having a “Madman Mega Sale” with up to 75% off select WWE DVDs and Blu-rays – check out Madman.com.au/WWE to see all of the goodies included, one of which is the 3-disc “Kurt Angle: The Essential Collection” DVD for just $7.49.
Thank you very much for completing the WWE DVD Classic Content page for the pre-2010 DVDs! Would it be possible for you to include the 2010-current DVDs on the same page in the same style (name of DVD as a clickable link to the content listing of that specific DVD)? The reason I ask is because it takes forever to find those particular 2010 to current DVDs whereas the style used on the classic pre-2010 page makes it very easy to find. Even if you were to make a separate post for 2010-current using the classic DVD posting style, that would be incredibly helpful.
It’s a good idea Macho and one we thought of too when compiling Classic Content. It could be a new page or all in the same one, in time. There is a search bar/function on the site to find specific DVD listings in the meantime, in case you may have missed it.
As I’m looking back at all of the events of 2019, I have to say that Survivor Series was my personal favorite. WWE really delivered with that event and told a great story with Rey and Lesnar. However, my personal favorite, which it has now become an annual thing, is seeing the brand competition. It was really great to see competitors from other brands face one another. Specifically Shayna/Becky/Bayley and Nakamura/Styles/Strong really stood out. From top to bottom, I thought it was a terrific card, even better than Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, or Summerslam. The entire Survivor Series concept really went off well last year.
they need to send an apology out to customers asap and they need a genuine website exclusive (offer or bonus disc or exclusive double disc) for the people who have stuck by them ie not one that turns up in ASDA. suggestions worlds collide, nxt mania. unrealeased bret hart? a rearealease of some old silvervisions. anyway get thinking of your apology and website exclusives and i will be back with you.
the lack of communication was the thing that upset people most.
WWEDVD UK are abysmal at responding to customer queries, whether via their contact form, Facebook page or email. Shocking. I just felt totally ignored when my order didn’t arrive from them recently. 8 years on, it still makes me miss Silver Vision. They can’t even compare.
I agree with you because WWEDVD.co.uk has blacklisted me for Good
Is it because you keep emailing them to say:
“Fantastic artwork for TLC 2019 {DVD}”
Wasn’t Bret’s “Dungeon Collection” essentially an unreleased set?
Pretty much yeah; kinda less so for the UK as we had the Tagged Classics so we already had a couple of the PPV matches like his IYH one with The Patriot, but yeah, I count it as an Unreleased set, just without that word in the title.
huh? it’s not like the website has been down for weeks.
hahaha
I feel like the sole function of this site now will just to let us know when the release dates for each new PPV comes out (which we could find out elsewhere tbh) and of course the archived content. Such a shame. The lack of DVD news this month after checking the website every day has been depressing. 🙁
If all they are doing is PPVs, all we can report on is PPVs, ya dig? 😉
Release dates elsewhere, maybe, but quite often we have them first.
Some cool things in the background as you mention, may I point out the WWE Network Updates page we have that lists new content on the Network as its uploaded – https://www.wrestlingdvdnetwork.com/wwe-network-updates/ (for those interested)
“If all they are doing is PPVs, all we can report on is PPVs, ya dig?”
I know yeah, well that’s what I meant. I wasn’t saying it was WDN’s fault. Just a sad sympton of the PPV-only situation.
it is there rabid fault it is a lack of imagination of what content to put on this site.
there are still other possible articles like reviews of classic dvds that you haven’t done, a new batch of fantasy concepts or, to suggest something more ambitious, a WWE home video retrospective.
The WWE TLC 2019 DVD selling on amazon cost more than usual from $14.99 to $17.19. Not worth the price since its a 1 disc pack dvd.
US not going to see crown jewel 2019 DVD at all?
Is wwe crowne jewel 2019 region free? I live in the usa and really wanted to add this to my collection
I don’t think it will be region free. All Fremantle releases are region 2/5.
Region free players don’t cost that much to buy. I got a blu ray player that didn’t cost much at all. Paid me dividends.
Region locked Blu-ray don’t have this issue but with DVDs from the UK when playing on region free player in North America there is this frame rate issue lag due to PAL to NTSC. That is one of the turn offs unless your TV automatically converts to 50Hz – majority don’t have this feature so you are playing content recorded in PAL 50hz on NTSC at 60Hz so the player is converting so it looks like absolute crap with the lag.
one of my apex compurwes with cd dvd rom played the elem chamber where the ic title was on the line when daniel bryan had gave up title becausw of injury
