This will be July’s big 3-disc DVD set, the second released on the group, which follows on from “Destruction of The Shield” with another 18 matches from 2015 through 2018. Those bouts include many of Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns’ individual success, matches in which The Shield members fought one another and more recent ones as a team during the reunion of The Shield last year.

As mentioned, each Shield member is given their own collection of matches here. Disc 1 focuses on Dean Ambrose, Disc 2 on Seth Rollins and Disc 3 on Roman Reigns.

We have now learned that this format also extends to the interview segments dotted around the set. The interviews are conducted individually with Dean, Seth and Roman, so, for instance, the Rollins disc features interview pieces solely with him. Check out the exclusive screengrabs below!

  1. SCSA says:

This maybe a bad question, but will there be a chance of a match from the released ‘Tagged Classic Summerslam92’ of Shawn Michaels Vs Rick Martel?

We also need matches that are only available in the Tagged classics DVD’s now!

    • SAB says:

Also released on the Summerslam anthology discs so wrong criteria for this new collection. Decent match though, as were most at Wembley Stadium!

      • Anan says:

Also on The Network. I realize not everyone is a subscriber but also realize that they won’t release things that are on the Network (w/few exceptions so far being the NXT sets, upcoming WWE24 Collection set) bc one of their priorities is to continue and increase Network business/revenue. In order to do that they’re offering it for “only $9.99 and first month free for new subscribers” as they love to constantly remind everyone lol!

    • Anan says:

Unreleased sets will consist of previously unreleased material so if anything’s been released before – doesn’t matter where, when or how rare it is now – it’s probably not going to be on these unreleased sets.

  2. Ramone Coffey says:

I’m really looking forward to this dvd

  3. Nick says:

Anyone think that Brawler match was suppose to be Bret. 6 days after Montreal.

    • Mike Poulin says:

No Brawler won a battle royal dark match at the 9/21/97 MSG Raw show that set up the match for the WWF Title at the next MSG. So had the incident in Montral not happened it would’ve been Bret vs Brawler for the title at that show.

      • Nick says:

        Thanks for that.

      • RCS1988 says:

        9/22/97 Poulin.

      • RabidHeat says:

Does anyone know the reasoning behind why they had the Brooklyn Brawler this Battle Royal win and title shot though, even on a house show? Were they planning on a little TV push for him and were just testing the waters here? Or was it just a bit of fun for New York crowds? Have to say, I didn’t realise was still on the roster as the Brawler in late 1997. I always think of him as an early 90s guy apart from his sporadic appearances when he was an agent in the 2000s.

        • Anan says:

Only reasons I can think of and make any logical sense are:
          1. To reward him for his years of service
          2. He’s a NYer or is billed from being from NY specifically I believe Brooklyn as his name is the Brooklyn Brawler and since the Battle Royal winner gets the WWF title shot at NY’s most famous arena, MSG, they gave him the win.
          3. To try and attempt getting a cheap pop in MSG by having the NY born, raised Brooklyn Brawler the world title match.

    • Josh Jones says:

Good call on that, imagine that day,ah hey Shawn you got the Brooklyn brawler tonight, thanks pal

  4. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

Steve Lombardi seriously has had a shot at the WWF title!? -lol- I can’t wait to see Shawn kick the shyt out of that “brawler” from Brooklyn. he he he

It will be too sweeeet to ad another match to one of the all time greatest feuds in history, with the triple threat match against Jericho, putting the Animal in there in the middle will be great to see what happens. Once again, would have been cream of the crop to have it on the Blu-brand.

Interesting combination of Diesel, HBK and the Deadman in the 6-man elimination match..

Nice start with this one.. pumped up for more.. 😉

    • Wrestlevessel says:

The match went like 15 minutes. Brawler got the title shot by winning a battle royal at the previous MSG show. I have this match already as a hand held of it exists.

  5. Kevin Smith says:

Sorry to disappoint you LP1 I’m afraid I’m not THAT Kevin Smith but I definitely appreciate the compliment lol

  6. SRB says:

Just a question. I thought most house shows were not filmed, but the matches above are from house shows, no? Are some of these from Coliseum Video releases?

    • Mike Poulin says:

Or Dark Matches and segments from Tapings that didn’t air and some house shows in those days were televised

    • Anan says:

Could be comprised of both. As far as I know some (idk about most) house shows are filmed by WWE. Some aren’t. That said, if these aren’t Coliseum Video, Dark Matches/segments, which if they were either, they’re typically labeled as such, then they’re probably fan cam stuff which typically have that label for the content that is fan cam.

Regarding the list, cannot wait for the whole list but must say great 1st match picks here!

Always loved Rockers vs Orient Express matches. The one that typically stands out in my mind is their opening match from RR 90 or 91.

Pipers Pit with an early 92 young up n coming heel HBK w/Sherri by his side? This’ll definitely be good! Especially knowing the mic worker Piper’s known for being!

HBK, Diesel, Undertaker vs Sycho Sid, Tatanka, Kama – Elimination Tag – yes! an Undertaker match! considering this is elimination style, hope it’s not a quick match. can see the good guys winning for the sake of fan’s happiness. question is which members of which team survive and win/get eliminated??

Vs Vader – don’t expect it to be as good as their match at SSlam96 considering that was a ppv closing match. don’t think it’ll be bad though by any means.

Vs Brooklyn Brawler – Brawler got a world title match at MSG??!!! Good for him 🙂 hope & I’m sure he did make the most of it.

Vs Batista Vs Jericho – this’ll be a great one no doubt.

    • RCS1988 says:

Most house shows were not filmed. All matches and segments at TV tapings were filmed, but not all were taped to air on TV or Coliseum Video.

      • Anan says:

Is it safe to say that the old WWF back in the day filmed all the many times they ran shows at the Boston Garden, Toronto Maple Leaf Garden, Philadelphia Spectrum, etc/everywhere else they ran shows? Don’t mean MSG or Nassau Coliseum or places like that. If the answer is yes, would love to see these released.

      • RabidHeat says:

House shows were sometimes filmed, as we know from the Attitude Era Vol. 3 and MSG sets, although often on one camera and the cameraman would just walk around the ring.

  7. John says:

    I can’t wait for this!

I hope this includes the match with Hunter at the October 22nd, 1996 Superstars taping. This matched closed the first WWE event I ever attended. Fingers crossed!

  8. RCS1988 says:

The date of the Shawn Vader match is September 24, 1996.

  9. andemoine winrow says:

I may pick up this set. The matches sound good.

  10. Nick says:

Good picks so far. Would love some matches with either Bret, Bulldog or Mankind. Dont wont too many jobber matches.

    • Anan says:

I can see Mick Foley getting his own unreleased set one day. If so they might end up saving Foley matches to fill up that set. HHH is inevitable to get an unreleased set of his own day as is probably Stone Cold. Kurt Angle, Rock, Flair, Jericho might get an unreleased set on them. Hoping Kane, Sting and Taker get one someday.

  11. alex murray says:

I will have to pass on the HBK set.Hopefully one day they will do a unreleased set of WCW matches from house shows. I will pick up the new Divas set though

    • RabidHeat says:

Did WCW even film those in the way that WWE did though?

      • Anan says:

Gonna venture to guess no. Idk who’s production values, including film, in and out of the pro wrestling or sports and entertainment business(es) come close let alone compare to WWE’s. The product quality may be lacking nowadays depending on who’s opinion you get. But their production quality has not. In fact if anything it’s probably gotten bigger and better. Anyone who worked, has worked, or knows about WWE praises their production. Rightfully so.

        • RabidHeat says:

Yeah, well I think that’s the reason why a WCW Unreleased set has never even been on the fan surveys; I don’t think house show footage exists. WWE know that WCW content sells big and I think it would’ve already been released or at least mentioned in a survey by now if it was even possible.

          • Anan says:

The only way I can remotely see any WCW unreleased content being released at all if it ever is, is if they did unreleased sets on Ric Flair and Sting as those are the only two longtime WCW talents who I can see getting unreleased sets if WWE decides to release unreleased sets on them.

Flair maybe more likely of the two bc he’s such a beloved respected legend who’s looked up to by so many including HHH – who may get an unreleased set himself one day for obvious reasons – and by some talents wrestling today in and out of WWE. The only thing about Ric that bothered me and still does a little is how he got inducted into the HOF, wrestled an epic last match vs HBK at WM24, got an epic sendoff, then went to TNA to wrestle for however many years he wrestled there, then stopped wrestling, went back to WWE to be a 2xHOF as he got inducted again as a group along with the other members of the 4 Horsemen. Despite being bothered I still have a high level of respect for him and his accomplishments and contributions within the industry.

While I think Flair is more likely to get an unreleased set (also bc he spent more time wrestling in WWE than Sting) I can see Sting eventually someday getting one too bc Vince is such a big fan of his. He tried so many times to sign Sting. Sting said Vince was always very good to him in their talks. They praised him in dvds like Greatest Stars of the 90s, WWE.com articles, etc before he signed w/WWE. While I wish he signed earlier (and was happy when he finally did sign) not only so we’d have a better chance of Taker vs Sting and other opponents, he’d have better matches and won some imo on grander stages like WM, it’s something he so much deserved after all, I highly respect him for accomplishing and contributing all he did in his career for as long as he did w/o WWE. That’s something no one can take away from him and not many especially many top names can say they’ve done.

  12. Vintage Simon says:

Awesome selections. Can’t wait for this release, will be a definite day one purchase!

  13. tom says:

great selection so far. my only wish is if there isn’t commentary already, then i hope they dub over with commentary

  14. meme says:

TREMENDOUS choices so far. This is looking way way up! Could be one of the all time greats.

  15. Kevin Smith says:

Starting to get a lot of interest in the Shawn set I own Unreleased:1986-1995 and Randy Savage: Unreleased so definitely considering this one on a different subject was very disappointed to hear about the passing of Vader this week a true legend who will definitely be missed would love to see a Vader DVD set at some point in the future

  16. Ryan says:

I think that Shawn Michael’s Unreleased will definitely be the best of the “Unreleased” DVD’s. Really looking forward to this one.

    • Anan says:

Imho that depends on the fan anticipation, the chosen content and how great the sales are. Based on anticipation definitely and sales (not sure about content) I think the best Unreleased set will be The Undertaker if it happens considering how long it’s been since we last got one and how anticipated another set on him has been since the last released Taker set. I realize I’m saying this way early since an Unreleased set on Taker isn’t even hinted at much less officially announced by any reliable sources or by the company.

      • RabidHeat says:

To me it needs to be a performer who likely still used to put in a fair amount of effort even when the cameras weren’t rolling i.e. Savage / Michaels. Undertaker? Not sure, great though he was on TV. Match quality is key for me if a good chunk of the matches are going to be without commentary.

      • Ryan says:

I mean that purely from a wrestling fan’s perspective I think the HBK set will be the best. The matches will likely be better than the other Unreleased sets because Shawn is so good and he probably put in a good effort in the non-televised stuff too. His matches were some of the best on the Attitude Era Unreleased set.

  17. Timothy Thorpe says:

Almost feels like a Shawn Michaels week. It’s been a while since you did one of your “weeks”.
