We’ve been asked if this Sunday’s Roadblock 2016: End of the Line PPV will be seeing a DVD release in the near future. The answer is still yes; as you can see on our WWE DVD Release Dates page it’s been scheduled for January along with TLC earlier in the month.

New information this week reveals that although the Roadblock DVD will also be hitting the UK, a Blu-ray edition of the event will not be available. As you may know, the usual release strategy in the UK sees every WWE PPV put out on Blu-ray format but that will not be the case here.

I am in two minds about whether to buy WWE RoadBlock : End Of The Line dvd in March 2017 or not, it is difficult what to do because I don’t know if the event was a good show to watch or not

  2. lol says:

“The matches you knew and loved in HD, now in standard definition”

    • NOTORIOUS ONE says:

Wish they would release everything on Blu-Ray. Makes no damn sense… Here we are years later, a new format out (4K), and Blu-ray format barely gets majority of releases. Especially in the U.S.

      • David says:

WWE are usually behind in the game with media releases. VHS for example they were still releasing them until late-2005 – i believe Summerslam or Unforgiven were the last when the format was long dead. It wasn’t until 2001 when they started to release every PPV (except No Way Out) on DVD when the format was born in 1997 and was the dominant format heading into 2000.

I don’t see WWE releasing in 4K anytime soon, because you will have those people that say they can’t tell the difference between 1080p and 4K – which is a night and day difference, unless watching on a screen less than 50″, which then yeah 4k is pointless as the true difference is shown with screen sizes 55″ and above.

        • LP1 says:

Forget the difference between 1080p and 4K, there’s been people on these comment sections who have said they can’t tell the difference between DVD and blu-ray. Seriously. I remember someone arguing vehemently that they could see absolutely no difference. I’m guessing they plugged it in using composite cables or were watching on a black and white TV or something.

          • LP1 says:

I remember another time, actually it might have been the same person, who was arguing here that blu-ray quality was actually worse than DVD. Seriously can’t make this stuff up.

      • Timothy says:

I wish they’d put everything on blu ray in the states too. But I have no problem buying dvd. A majority of my collection is dvd, but I buy blu ray whenever possible. But that’s just me.

  3. LP1 says:

This is a minor nitpick, but the Ambrose vs Rollins match from July should say “WWE World Championship Match”. Just like the Styles vs Ambrose match from October does. I know WWE recently started referring to the title as simply the WWE Championship again, but that was only in the last week.

  4. Patrick Mcnamara says:

Looks good looking forward to adding all 3 to my collection (TLC 2016,ROAD BLOCK:END OF THE LINE 2016,AND THE BEST OF RAW AND SMACKDOWN LIVE 2016). I love that the match with Triple H versus Dolph ZIGGLER is on there. As well as the WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH BETWEEN AJ STYLES AND DEAN AMBROSE. Looks bad ass.

  5. Tommy D says:

Great listing so far for the RAW and Smackdown DVD. I was really hoping for the RAW Universal title match (which was practically a given), as well as the Y2AJ tag match. A few for my wish list:

    *All 3 Flair/Banks Title Changes
*Kalisto/Del Rio US title Change from 1/11/16
    *Styles/Cesaro/Jericho/Owens from 4/4/16

  6. Rocky999 says:

Lol Fremantle media are still no silvervision are they. Silvervision would of made sure there was a uk blu ray of everything as they cared about the fans not just the money. But much as everything in life it’s all about the money. I do still miss silvervision so much.
