REVEALED: First WWE Home Video Release for 2019, Introducing WWE DVD & Blu-Ray Classic Content

October 25, 2018 by Daniel Bee

Classic Content - Content Listings for Every WWE DVD

We’ve been working on something new. Well, something classic. has been in existence since April 2010 and for each and every new WWE DVD and Blu-ray released after that point we’ve published its full content listing.

But what about the WWE DVDs that came before we did? Those were never covered here so it’s time we documented them. After all, WWE began their DVD offerings way back in 1999.

Over 100 additional content listings are good to go! It’s a work in progress but you’ll see the new WWE DVD Classic Content page gradually update with all of the ‘missing’ content. We hope that this will be a useful referencing feature for the collecting community or just for the curious who might get a kick out of seeing how WWE DVDs have evolved over the years.

The new page joins the rest of our existing, popular line-up:

Jumping from 1999 to 2019, has learned that the first WWE DVD scheduled for next year is “Best Pay-Per-View Matches 2018” which follows the usual trend that the Best PPV series takes the slot for the first 3-disc set of the new year.

Amazon Canada has this one down to release on January 22nd, 2019 but we currently expect the title to hit stores a week or two earlier in the United States and the United Kingdom.

It remains to be seen but if WWE’s Home Video releases follow the same pattern as this year we’re also likely to be treated to “The Best of RAW & SmackDown Live 2018” and “Best of NXT 2018”.

The Crown Jewel and Evolution PPVs are also expected to land on DVD in early 2019.

Stay tuned for confirmation of those and to see what else may be in the works.

The final schedule for WWE DVDs in 2018 was recently unveiled which listed Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 and Super Show-Down 2018 as releasing on the same day; November 13th.

However, the Super Show-Down DVD has now been pushed back slightly to November 27th.

Before the Pay-Per-Views, the next WWE DVD release on the way will be a 3-disc set: “AJ Styles – Most Phenomenal Matches”.

This “Phenomenal” collection will hit stores in just over a week’s time, featuring 20 matches and 11 newly-filmed interview segments with AJ Styles himself. This WWE DVD will also be produced with alternate artwork.

Unfortunately there is still no clear update as to the store that’s stocking the cover exclusive in the United States ( will have in the UK) but we leave you today with a pre-release look at AJ Styles DVD before it’s available anywhere worldwide:
