what about cent vs organ at tlc and bryan vs organ at night of champions

  2. timtam says:

what about cent vs organ at tlc

  3. eyad9999 says:

hhh vs brock lesner at wm war better the extreme rules

  4. eyad9999 says:

ryback vs cena at payback should be there

  5. Carlos says:

John cena vs rock shouldn’t be on there

  6. Carlos says:

What’s wrong with lesner? He’s awesome

  7. KDR says:

    Brock Lesnar? Really?

  8. Spritz1999 says:

You know, it is times like these where I kind of wish I lived in the U.K. or at least visited a few times a year or something… :/

  9. Joseph Collins says:

Why is this not being released on BLU RAY? it’s the best of 2013 not 2003!

  10. Pacman Addison says:

Good matches hopefully Bryan vs Cena Summerslam won’t have cash in by orton

  11. Isrs4life says:

A I am getting up early for this set on new years eve and heading to the mall
in the morning to buy this dvd set! I have it well plan out and written down so
I wont forget wish I bought last years set but I almost did but I dont mind owning
doubles of wrestlemania matches each year…

  12. kdd says:

They should do this for 1996 – 2001.
1995/1996, 1998/1999 and 2001 have at least similar products which leaves 1997 and 2000 without any kind of summary.

  13. Scott says:

I really wish they would release these Best PPV Match sets in January so Survivor Series and TLC could be included. Also, Cena Rock II doesnt belong on a best of anything set (their first match was decent) and I thought ADR and RVD had a better match at battleground than NOC. Other than that its a good mix of matches. Obviously you can’t make everybody happy

  14. ZJ says:

Why in the world are Show/Orton, Wade/Miz/Axel, and the Divas 4 way match on here?

  15. Olly says:

This looks really good apart from the fact there’s gonna be no matches from Survivor Series or TLC. Personally I would swap the Del Rio vs RVD from NOC to their match at Battleground. Would also have like to have seen Punk vs Jericho from Payback, Triple threat tag match from HIAC and the Elimination Chamber but maybe they’ll be on the blue ray extras.

  16. Bryan says:

So WWE screws up by never having any Survivor Series or TLC matches (still pissed Punk vs Del Rio wasn’t on the Best of 2011 PPV blu ray) speaking of blu rays hello anyone hey WWE let me give you my point of view you shoot footage for the past 6 years in HD why is there no blu ray for a compilation set of 2013 matches? Yet for stuff like Nitro, ECW Unreleased, In Your House, or Bret Harts Dungeon Matches you produce a blu ray for non HD footage with lovely side bars to constrain the video which by the way isn’t improved in picture quality that much. Then to top it all off 3 disc DVD sets that used to be 9 hours are chopped down to 7.5 hours so you can put the extra 1.5 hours on the blu ray as exclusives? Um no DVD sets should be 9 hours still for 3 disc sets and anywhere from 10 to 11 hours for blu rays get your shit together WWE! Sorry for the soapbox rant, on a positive note they really got their shit together for the Raw 20th Anniversary set which looks amazing.

  17. Talal says:

I think they should have included:
    Royal Rumble Match
    Elimantion Chamber match
Triple H vs Brock WM instead of at extreme rules
The shield vs hell no and took off Orton vs Big Show
    Y2J vs Punk payback!!!!

  18. David says:

I’m actually quite surprised Punk vs Jericho is not on and the triple threat IC title is. I guess they had to put at least one mid-card title on the set like how they put a divas match each year.

I thought Del Rio/RVD had a better match at Battleground, I would have replaced that.

I’m actually going to import the UK Blu-rays from this year that are not available here. Already have Extreme Rules, so I’m going to pick up rest from NoC onwards. Region B Blu-rays look great on NTSC, so people looking for a region free Blu-ray player should definitely pick one up.

But I wish we could sign a petition or something for WWE to release Blu-rays – even if they have to be exclusive to WWEShop, at least have them available for consumers…how will they know if sales aren’t good if they don’t put any out, or not enough copies?!

  19. Kenny says:

I’ve noticed this the past few years, and it always has me curious. Why don’t they include anything from the Survivor Series or TLC PPVs in these releases? Why not bump the release date back a couple of months to give time for them to be included?

    • Simon says:

I think it’s to ‘strike while the iron’s hot’ and get it released whilst it’s still relevant (in this case, before 2013 has even ended).

If you pushed it back a couple of months, it’s suddenly March 2014, and marketing a product with 2013 on it could be tricky, as consumers may perceive it to be outdated or old news.

  20. Simon says:

I wanted the Elimination Chamber match and the Raw Money in the Bank match to be on the set, so fingers crossed they find their way onto the Blu Ray exclusives. The rest of the set looks good though, so I’ll definitely be buying. Three matches from Payback is a little excessive though.

  21. RabidHeat says:

I can’t believe they would dare proclaim Rock/Cena 2 to be on of the ‘best’ matches of the year. It was abysmal.

    • Anonymous says:

And yet it was their biggest match this year, so it’s going to be on there regardless. Like if there was a Best of PPV matches for the year it happened, Hogan vs. Andre would be on there even though from a technical standpoint it’s not good.

  22. Timothy Thorpe says:

Does anyone at WDN know the breakdown of how long each disc is? Thanks.

  23. mdax says:

in another words, dec ppv is expected to have no good matches.

  24. Tony Kegger says:

I can’t believe they did three Payback matches. I have the Payback blu-ray so that’s almost 25% repeats for me.

Also, I really don’t like that there’s no blu-ray. I have the first 3 and I’m not sure if I’ll pick up this one. The best thing about this DVD is that you can get the best matches of WrestleMania and SummerSlam on one DVD set so that’s making this a maybe for me.

  25. Wonderllama says:

This is really close to the listing I and other people predicted in this thread: http://www.wrestlingdvdnews.com/topic/your-picks-for-the-best-ppv-matches-of-2013-dvd/

I only have minor complaints. There are the changes I would make

    ADR/Ziggler MITB > ADR/Ziggler Payback
All-Stars MITB Ladder Match > WHC MITB Ladder Match
ADR/RVD Hardcore Battleground > ADR/RVD Night of Champions

I wasn’t a big fan of the Orton/Bryan HIAC match. Of the three PPV matches they had, I actually thought Battleground was the best one, despite the bad ending.

This set could REALLY benefit from having Blu-Ray extras… that way they could add some of the matches I’m talking about.

  26. justin f says:

I hate it when they release these DVDs and the cutoff is October. Release the DVD in February or something so that November and December gets covered too.

  27. daniel says:

No Punk vs Jericho from Payback?????

  28. Steven Jackson says:

A great looking DVD set with some great matches on it. I don’t really buy PPVs, unless they are really cheap and really good, so I enjoy these sets as they are a good compendium of the year. Punk vs. Taker, Cena vs. Bryan, Money in the Bank, Punk vs. Lesnar, are all great matches. The rest are a bonus =) looking forward to picking this up.

  29. WWEReneeYoungHot;) says:

Great Match listing all the great matches from the year are on here like Punk v Rock, Taker v Punk, Rock v Cena, Lesnar v Triple H, Punk v Lesnar, Bryan v Cena, The Shield v Rhodes, Goldust, Del Rio v Cena and Orton v Bryan, could have done without Del Rio v RVD from Night of Champions that match sucked cus of the ending, 2 divas matches made which is actually good and they choose the 2 good matches, Kaitlyn v AJ Payback and The Fatal 4 way from Night of Champions, I pretty much have all the PPV’s on Blu-ray besides WM 29, Battleground and Hell in a Cell, so i will pick this eventually just for renee young hosting the set 😉 when its on sale on wwedvd.co.uk, this would have been a awesome release to have on blu-ray for the america fans shame feel for you lot, this should easily get a blu-ray release cause all the footage is on HD so dont understand WWE logic not releasing this on blu-ray!!

  30. James says:

They need to release this as 2012/13 etc as they always miss a blinder from Survivor Series or TLC

    • Anonymous says:

The first set was like that. It was from 09’s Backlash to Wrestlemania 26. I wish they would’ve stuck to that format instead of the Rumble-HiaC. Also, Survivor Series and TLC missing isn’t nearly as bad as most of 2010 falling into a black hole due to the format switch.

      • Wonderllama says:

Yeah, there were a lot of great matches in 2010. Matches that really wouldn’t showcased anywhere else but in these Best of PPV DVDs.

I wish WWE thought of this idea ages ago… like 2007, 2008. Those were also awesome years for PPVs.

  31. Jordan says:

I’ve got all the PPVs from Royal Rumble to Hell in a Cell anyway. Never bought this set in previous years for the same reason.

  32. SRB says:

It seems very random on WWE’s part not to do a blu-ray on this. What’s the reasoning behind it? Just didn’t feel like it? Low sales? Cry me a river… Sales are about to get even lower then without the blu-ray.

    • Joe Israel says:

Low sales. I think the majority of people still buy DVD’s, and they save a ton of money not needing to produce the HD set.

  33. Vincenzzzzzo says:

No Blu-ray equals me NOT buying this set. Shame too, since it was one of my favorite sets of the year. The only matches I don’t have on Blu-ray are the last 5 matches anyway. No big loss. The more they cancel Blu-rays, the less I’ll buy.

  34. Mongoose Wizard says:

I will admit since there is no Blu Ray it’s kinda disappointing but good grief there is a lot of matches on this DVD I will buy this set only because I was edgy with this entire year in Wrestling Entertainment and so I don’t have to buy any of its PPV’s so this will do the trick. BUT there Is one thing that bothers me! Where the hell is Jericho Vs Punk just like I said to myself last year where the HELL is Jericho vs Ziggler! WWE that’s twice y’all have left Chris Jericho off of Best PPV’s sets. And both matches with Punk 2013 and Ziggler 2012 where pretty damn amazing! Let’s just say if he comes back 2014 and has a good match with Randy or Bryan or whoever DON’T LEAVE IT OFF! Remember WWE he’s Chris Jericho not Chris Benoit! Okay end of rant.

  35. Daniel says:

I could of done without Crock vs Cena again. But we have Taker vs Punk, Triple H vs Lesnar, Bryan vs Cena and Punk vs Lesnar. That’s a buy for me

  36. @IMDJLUIS says:

The best version of this series was the original, 2009-10, that one actually had some great matches on it. After that, seems so predictable what matches they will put on them…

  37. Markus says:

WWE knows that we will see nothing good at TLC ? 😀

  38. David says:

    No Blu-ray = no buy.

How asinine not to include a Blu-ray version of this set where everything was filmed in HD. Makes no sense.
