very surprised eddie guerrero’s reign/matches in 2004 has been omitted
Aaaaaah… yessss.. History of the WWE Championship.. my very first WWE dvd, bought in 2010 from a Danish used bookstores of all places.
Prior to this epic day, I only knew wrestling from TV.. as in short recap shows that aired from time to times on german and danish broadcasting..
and since Eurosport at that point for several years had stopped airing the PPV’s re-run that made me interested in wrestling back in early 1990’s (WrestleMania 6 was the first ever show that I experienced, and I was thrilled with the whole show, still am today), I had very limited insight and frankly interest in wrestling as I stood in that bookstore that day and my eyes caught that nice looking box.
As I checked out the match listing, I was immediatly sold when I saw that “The Ultimate Challenge” was on there. I really would love to re-visit that great match again.
As I looked further on the lists I caught eye on the Iron Match.. 60 minutes!?! What the..!? I had to check that out! Hence, I bought it..and I never looked back since, cos that fantastic release was the ignition to start collecting WWF/WWE releases!
This compilation, imo, is the perfect place to either start up a collection..or if you “just” need to have a compilation of some of the absolute most important and pivotal matches in WWE history. And with JR’s analystic introduction to each match (which is way better than the horrible pre-show panels they are doing these days) you have one of the absolute best releases imo.
