  1. Dennis winship says:

This year survivor series returns to boston, massachusetts. I wish i had this dvd some day. Dennis winship Lynn massachusetts

  2. Cherie Smith says:

Actually they have released sets for Starrcade and Wargames but a set for Halloween Havoc could be extremely interesting

  3. Dave says:

Instead of this dvd, they should have completed the rest of the survivor series anthology, it was one of the big four ppvs that the wwe built its company on and deserved more respect…..Also the concept was cool, for one night only you could see wwe stars and tag teams team up that u might not get to see team up and fight collectively….

  4. Ryan says:

This is a hardcore PASS. Match selection is absolutely awful. A 90 second Main Event is not worthy of a “Best of” DVD release, most of the matches selected are just feature the big name guys with no emphasis on what the best matches actually were and the 1994 Elimination match didn’t even have a finish and was just a set-up for the HBK-Diesel split and a waste of the talent involved. BotchaMania is running wild on this match selection. Thumbs Down.

    • RabidHeat says:

But in that sense, the 1994 elimination match is actually one of the more noteworthy ones storyline wise, as it ignited a WrestleMania feud. Most of the other elimination matches are just fluff.

  5. Dylan says:

damn 2003-2008 getting no love haha

  6. cmw says:

WWE.please, please, listen to what the real fans want, they should read our e-mail,I would love to see.rick rude collection.DVD collection with those who never won the world title such as haku,Mr perfect,British bulldog. Big boss man, etc.a new tag team collection such as usos, hart foundation. Nasty boys.demolition, powers of pain,

    • Anan says:

Agreed. I’ve stated I’d like to see a set on Rude, Martel, Tatanka. Love to see one on Godfather. Ted DiBiase would be a great one. The other names u mentioned would be awesome though Perfect already got a documentary set called The Life & Times. Goldust would be a most welcome one for me but bc he’s close to his career probably being over I’d think, feel they should wait till he’s retired.

There’s names that have been world champion in/out of WWE that I’d like to see docs on. Taker of course, Kane, Vader, JBL, Ron Simmons.

      • Patrick Mcnamara says:

JBL and Ron Simmons. Both featuring awesome APA matches, yes indeed. Rick Rude is a set I really want and British Bulldog is a must, along with Big BOSSMAN, and Koko B Ware ,and ofcourse Ted DIBIASE sr and Tantanka. I also want to see a Taz set.

      • RabidHeat says:

Lol, as much as I loved Martel and Tatanka as a kid, you can’t honestly imagine that WWE are going to release 3 disc sets on them?

    • Patrick Mcnamara says:

Finally my true fan brethren/sisters(in case their is women involved ), where have you been?

  7. Steven Jackson says:

I am very disappointed with this DVD set and match selection. I would have liked the WWE to have produced a “True Story of Survivor Series” set, that was supplemented with some excellent matches. Instead, we get another countdown, and a questionable set of matches that cut out a lot of key moments and years from the PPVs history.

I understand that certain Survivor Series elimination matches are long, which would take up a lot of the DVD run time, and also include several wrestler’s that “modern” fans may not be familiar with. But, regardless, the WWE should have gone out of their way to showcase the elimination matches anyway, as I believe the vast majority of the early matches are excellent.

I will unfortunately not be picking this one up, and I’ll just stick with my Volume 1 Anthology set and the WWE network.

  8. Jonathan Turbide says:

Absolutely terrible listing, good god. 30 years of history for this? They botched it real bad.

  9. SCSA says:

Well I guess that the WWE won’t exactly & can’t exactly change this bad content given for the Survivor Series set can they?!

    • Anan says:

Of all the big 4 ppv shows, SSeries is the one that at least in recent years has been lacking apart maybe from a good event one year here & there or good matches here & there. But I’m talking about the event has a whole. It just to me hasn’t been the same show it was in its early years when it was better.

I’m not justifying the terribly bad for the most part content of the set as there’s no excuse for that but I think that’s why the listing is what it is. Had blurays existed in the SSeries’ early years & had this set been made back then, my guess is the content would have been so much better.

      Just my take on it.

  10. Metfan says:

You are releasing a set celebrating 30 years of Survivor Series and you don’t include anything from the first one? Makes no sense , plus you have matches that have been on other sets recently, yet the first main event has only been on the anthology!

  11. The Midnight Jobber says:

Zzzzzzzzz… Wake me up,when WWE releases
The True Story of WCW Beach Blast.

    • Anan says:

Lol haha! I’d like to see a True Story set on WCW too. Beach Blast would be interesting as that’s the birth of the nWo w/the Hogan heel turn. However, Starrcade should really be first as unless I’m mistaken, that was their biggest ppv like WM is WWE’s biggest ppv. Just my 2 cents. Doesn’t really matter though since when these sets are finished, close to finishing or even before, they’ll continue the sets w/WCW shows & I believe Starrcade, BBlast. HHavoc, WarGames will be among them.

      • RabidHeat says:

So you’ve never heard of the already released ‘Essential Starrcade Collection’, which featured a documentary and matches?

  12. Tom says:

    Yawn. Not interested.

  13. LP1 says:

Wasn’t really expecting much out of this one. Since every Survivor Series has been released already, the main selling point is the countdown and I’m not sure how well countdown sets sell. Would’ve been better if they just picked one big moment from each year of the event and went in order from 87-16.

  14. Cmw says:

Also, the full match where the undertaker’s first appeared, come on wwe,ask the fans what we want to see

  15. Cmw says:

Where is the hogan’s team v Andre’s team at the first main event

  16. Damien Drake says:

When the cover artwork and full match listings are shown in one day instead of several days, u know the set is gonna be terrible and this one just proved it.

    I’m passing on this disasterpiece.

  17. Brandon vendetta says:

    Reapeats galore that figures

  18. Anan says:

Glad they included Taker’s 1st title win. But they should’ve included the Winner Take All match from 2001, Team RAW vs Team SD from 2005 & 2016, BOD vs Wyatt Fam from 2015, pretty much every SSeries Elimination match as that’s the main selling point of this ppv which is the topic of this set WWE’s releasing. Just sayin.

  19. Foley is good says:

Not usually negative but this is pretty bad in my opinion. I actually like women’s wrestling but kind of weird choices for this release. Not interested in this….at least I save some cash I guess.

  20. Archangel says:

Surprised to see no matches from 87 or the WWF vs Alliace match. I was hoping to see more elimination matches.

  21. decky says:

Really surprised sting isn’t acknowledged on this set

  22. Anonymous says:

    What an underwhelming listing.

  23. Chad says:

Booo! I wanted WWF vs Alliance Survivor Series Match & the First Elimination Chamber & Austin vs Bischoff Match!

    • Joshua Foss says:

Those would’ve better additions than Bad Guys vs. Teamsters, Brock vs Big Show and both Divas championship matches.

  24. SCSA says:

    No Blu-Ray… no buy ☹️

  25. meme says:

So since NXT was bumped to November does that mean the early December spot has a yet to be announced DVD? We could hear about that soon if so with this match listing already known.

  26. meme says:

Pretty much a fluff piece as I expected. Might still get it. Way too much focus on Attitude and Ruthless eras on the artwork.

  27. CMW says:

No Gobbledy Gooker? If it is on the list, what number is it?

  28. SRB says:

Only 7 hours? 🙁 Plenty of room for a few more matches.

  29. Indyfan says:

Lol this looks pretty bad. Luckily I bought the two anthologies of Survivor Series. How could they not include the tag team survivor series matches from 87 or/and 88? Both were amazing.

    And yeah Rock’s debut sucked

  30. John Peterson says:

Decent listing.I am sure this will the same format if they do a 30 years of Summerslam set next year.

  31. Ricardo Aguilera says:

Just noticed the guys in the back of the DVD they all were involved in the 2001 survivor series match even the whole invasion angle suck that match was awesome can’t believe it’s not there

  32. VintageSimon says:

I’m also bemused by how highly WWE rates The Rock’s debut. The match has already appeared on many sets, and it’s now rated as the fourth best moment in Survivor Series history? Please. The match, on the night, was a huge flop – and didn’t kick-start Maivia’s career in the slightest. It’s revisionist history that exists solely because of his fame today. The match was average at best, and not a memorable moment by any stretch. Yet it’s higher than Taker’s surprise debut?

    • Brandon vendetta says:

Agreed. The Rocks debut is not great at all. Seen it way to many times. It’s mediocre at best.

      • Brad Attitude says:

His rise to the top and the legend he became didn’t suck and at the end of the day thats what fans will remember.

  33. Ricardo Aguilera says:

No blu ray wtf and no Stings debut wow skipp this one

  34. KurtK26 says:

Wow… that’s shitty. There’s barely anything from the early (good) years, and tons from the recent ones. No buys, since I don’t care about the countdown part.

  35. Jammer says:

I heard that Vince hated the concept of the elimination match – yet he created the Survivor Series to begin with – but there is hardly any elimination matches on this set! I figured that would be the huge selling point.

    • RabidHeat says:

I think the problem is that Elimination matches are so damn long, particularly the early ones, so you really wouldn’t have many matches if you stuck to those.

  36. Tommy D says:

Where is the Razor/Shawn 1994 Ladder Match?

    • Ricardo Aguilera says:

Dude wtf are you talking about this is survivor series not WrestleMania plus that match has been already released on others DVD’s

  37. VintageSimon says:

I only own two of the first 14 events, yet still have 100% of these matches in my collection. Jumping from 2002 to 2009 is also a fail IMO, as that period in between was basically my fav era. Seems like the emphasis on more recent content means that this is aimed at younger fans, much like WrestleMania Monday. Which is fair enough, but it’s a no for me on this one. May catch the doc if/when it’s added to the Network.

  38. RabidHeat says:

Not that it won’t be a great set, but when you own every PPV in full (thanks to being in the UK and having all the Tagged Classics), it just doesn’t feel worth a purchase. Would have had more value if it had been a proper documentary like the ‘Mania and Rumble True Stories, but I’m guessing there’s not much of a “story” behind SVS as such. I’ll pass on this one, I’m afraid.

  39. Daniel says:

Decent listing. I like the cover, the countdown and the match selections

  40. Matthew Tremble says:

Not sure how to feel about this really. I love the concept being it’s one of my favorite ppvs but it just seems off. Artwork is decent but they literally skip almost the entire Ruthless Aggression era. They serve the the best years for Survivor Series but they could get some good matches out of them. At least they’ve been released before so I see why they could be letting that era out but I still feel like something could be there from 2003-2008.

  41. Dave says:

How can they not include Sting’s debut?! Or any moments from 2003 to 2008?

  42. The Midnight Jobber says:

More rehashed content with a cute little countdown.
