  1. captainplanet says:

Why did they skip over so many great tv matches for this set? The Shield’s best stuff was on Raw and SD, for the most part. Lots of good matches here, don’t get me wrong, but this set went from must buy to might buy.

  2. JayJay says:

This dvd going to be awesome Believe in the shield!!!!!!

  3. Nick says:

This seems too soon, or their run was too short.

However, to feature Rollins and Ambrose’s rivalry in FCW is a treat, and worth the purchase alone.

  4. Tony Kegger says:

Not a perfect DVD set because it should have had the Extreme Rules match against Evolution and the March 3rd match against the Wyatt Family. Some of these matches could be been removed like Bryan/Orton vs. Rollins/Reigns. That match wasn’t as good as it could have been.

  5. John Peterson says:

Very strong set.The only matches I’ve would have included were Rollins and Reigns Vs The Rhodes Brothers from Battleground 2013,Shield Vs Wyatts on Raw from March 3,and Shield Vs Evolution from Extreme Rules.Which is better than the Payback Match.

  6. RCS1988 says:

They will probably release a WWE Around the World and a Bruno Sammartino set. Maybe another unreleased archives set on Hulk Hogan with TV taping dark matches that were not released anywhere, not even Coliseum Video.

  7. Wallace Hamstock says:

Wow, what a great first half for WWE dvds/blurays. The Shield, another Warrior dvd, a sound looking Best of Raw & Smackdown 2014 despite obvious flaws, Chris Jericho, & ECW Unreleased Volume 3. Plus, the Monday Night Wars might be good. Funny how WWE is releasing shit from the Network onto dvds now. I prefer hard copies anyways. Plus, if Amazon is finally putting Blu-Rays at a manageable price on pre-orders. Got Jericho, Warrior, & ECW for 24 but Shield was 30. Still excited though. I hope this is a trend where blu-rays become cheaper & WWE keeps releasing great sets!

  8. Carlos says:

if I only buy ONE more dvd In my lifetime it’ll be this one

  9. David says:

Looks like an awesome release! Loved the documentary and the FCW/NXT matches are the icing on the cake. Wish they included few more 6 man tags as people mentioned – vs. Wyatts from RAW and even Main Event. Also vs. Cena/Kane/Bryan and vs. Kofi/Kane/Bryan 6 man tags from RAW were awesome. But at least we have the Network for that.

I’m actually glad they included the Evolution match from Payback since it was pretty historic seeing as how it was a clean sweep for Shield which was very unexpected.

  10. Ryan says:

I agree that the six man against the wyatts should be in there as well. Not to mention the match against evolution from extreme rules.

  11. Dan says:

Will the blu-ray be released in the states?

  12. Revenge of the Seth says:

Looks like a great release. However, I do wish Shield vs Wyatt Family from Raw or Main Event was on. And Royal Rumble wasn’t very important for Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, as Roman Reigns was booked to look far too strong. But the FCW content is much appreciated.

  13. LP1 says:

This was already a day 1 buy for me even before the matches were known. The documentary from the Network is excellent and can’t wait to see the full uncut version of it. The match choices are perfect. Of course some people will complain because there wasn’t 1 or 2 matches that they wanted so I guess that just ruins the other 20 great matches on there for them. I don’t know.

As for the Rumble match, it’s a very good choice for several reasons. The Shield dominated the whole match from beginning to end. Rollins was in there at the opening bell and Reigns was in there at the closing bell. There was never a point where there wasn’t at least one Shield member in the entire match. Of course it was also the match where Reigns broke the elimination record and it was also where we saw our first real tease of a break up between them.

I really dig this set. Between this set and the new Warrior set, early 2015 is already looking great.

    • David says:

Well said. The documentary was great and glad WWE are releasing an extended version of the doc and the matches picked are close to perfect for me, especially the FCW/NXT matches. There a few omissions I wished they included but doesn’t stop me from buying the Blu-ray set.

I always thought the Daniel Bryan WM Journey would have been a perfect WM30 Blu-ray extra but I think they might be saving that for a future Daniel Bryan DVD/Blu-ray and likely include an extended cut of the documentary.

      • LP1 says:

A Bryan release seems like a no-brainer. I’m guessing WWE is waiting until they know what’s going on with him since there’s been no update for months on his condition. Last I heard was that he might need a second surgery because he wasn’t getting feeling back in his arm. It’s looking more and more likely that he won’t be at Mania. It’ll probably make the most sense to do a Bryan release once everything is straightened out with his condition.

        • LP1 says:

Funny how I wrote the above comment about Bryan possibly not coming back yet on Monday afternoon and later that night he announces his comeback.

  14. Leonard says:

My only complaint is I only count 3 6-man tags. You could probably fill half a disc with all the awesome 6-man tag matches they had throughout 2013 and 14. Them and Daniel Bryan were the highlights of 2013 and more often than not either of them were in the match of the night.

  15. Timothy Thorpe says:

Is the Rumble match going to be shown in full, or when Reigns entered? In my opinion it was more his rumble than any other member.

  16. Daniel says:

Damn! This set looks incredible the FCW matches alone makes it great! The listing is good so yh I’m getting this

  17. attitude.era.4life says:

on purpose, that the Roman Reigns on FCW Triple threat match segment is on both the DVD list, but also listed as a Bluray exclusive?

    • Daniel Bee says:

Looks like a mistype their end. It should probably be an interview with either Ambrose or Rollins about the match which follows in the listing. We’ll confirm once we know.

  18. attitude.era.4life says:

I really wish, that as 2 bluray exclusives, or on the main program, they had put on:

    – the RAW match agains The Wyats

    – and the hell in a cell match between Ambrose and Rollins.

Why oh why, have they put on the disaster-piece that Royal Rumble 2014 was!? Showing bits and pieces of it in the doc would have been enough, and the time from it could have been used on one of the upper mentioned great matches, or even both, depending on how long they intend us to endure from the flop of this years ROYAL GRUMBLE. Boooo, I only say!

other than that, it should be an interesting release.

  19. Justin says:

I can’t wait for this DVD!! This one will be sure to fly off the shelves. Personally I thought the Ambrose/Rollins Hell In A Cell match would have been included as well but you can’t win them all. Still looks great nonetheless. Gotta love the unreleased FCW/NXT matches. To my knowledge this DVD will mark the first time any matches from FCW and the revamped NXT will be released on DVD.

  20. Big Cal says:

Well holy SHIT, this looks to be one of the best releases from WWE in a LONG time!!! Literally the only thing I wish was on there was at least one of the Shield/Rhodes Bros matches either from the PPV or the Raw rematch, but aside from that, it’s damn near perfect. FCW matches too? One of the Regal/Ambrose matches? DO WANT.
