Last night, I watched the Blu-Ray Exclusive on Monday Night War Vol. 1 Blu-Ray and WHAT THE HELL is the Press conference to announce Nitro? What a awful footage… the sound is horrible and the cameraman is very bad… 25 minutes of horrible stuff!!!
So what are you saying? Is the blu-ray a waste of money?
Also.. I’d wait and see and what happens when vol. 2 to comes out:
it’s almost a Hollywood production, looking at the cover, therefor, I would’nt be surprised, if a special collectors extended-extended edition would come out bundle both volumes together, with even more extras.
Maybe, wwe will be giving it the Star Wars treatment..every 5-15 years, a “new, improved” edition.. -lol-
I’m not , sure if I’m going to purchase this set. The documentary part(s) sound interesting, but it doesn’t look like they have any matches on the set, except for blu ray. I don’t have a blu ray player. They could have put matches on both the blu ray set and the basic dvd set. I’ll probably end up purchasing the video anyway. The documentary part sounds interesting plus I’d like to see/hear what hhh and sting have to say about that era.
If you have a video game console or a computer (PC) and I assume you have one, if not both, then you have a region free bluray player.
Wasn’t expecting much in the way of extras for this release so not disheartened by what we got. I see it more of a TV season box set than a wrestling release anyway, which is what the shows were on the Network
I was expecting matches on every set and all we get is only 3 matches?! I am canceling my pre-order and I am going to wait until it is $10 dollars
Here we go again with everyone getting all pissy over the content…if its so bad, then simple don’t buy it…nobody is forcing you. It was known from the very beginning that this was just going to be a Network re-release with some extras, thats it…what did you people really expect? a 15 disc release of the Monday Night War with 10 discs of extras and full episodes.
would buy that multiple discs edition in a heart beat.. 😉
this release is just another example on, how the direction World wrestling Entertainment is taking..and yes..the wrestling is spelled with only small letters on purpose..
I really do not care if there would have been some classic repeats..there should be much more Wrestling on this.
But.. saw it coming to something like this, when the run time of 11 hrs 30 min was announced.. it’s the twitter/talkshow era we’re in..
I can not say that I am a fan of this era, and hope the trend of relasing appearently interesting back catalogue releases will not have the 85 % of times talking and “analysing” from scripts written.
Still gonna get this one when it drops in price or I can get a near mint edition from amazon down the line. If not…suck it…4 Life! 😉
My excitement level for this set went down considerably after seeing the complete lack of extras. Do we really need Sting and Hunter’s thoughts on every aspect about that era that badly? Get a few more guys that at least fits in with the specific episode, like a roundtable.
Grr! The only thing I want is the announcement of Nitro segments and promos and I am not buying a huge set just for that. Would it have killed them to put some unreleased matches on this?
I was hoping for more blu ray extras. I’m still buying it, but I’m just sayin.
I heard they edited out the Nacho Man and Huckster parts
