Needs a Vol 2 (and 3!)
Hi can anyone tell me if WCW Nitro volumes 1 & 2 bluray , ECW Unreleased volumes 1 & 2 blurays and the new Owen hart bluray have any edits to them
damn bummer they didn’t include the awesome Finn balor vs Neville and Balor vs Hideo matches 🙁 ah well…gotta find em on youtube somewhere….lol
I’m so excited I can’t wait to get this and it comes out 2 days after my birthday.
I’m bying the Blu Ray for sure when it comes out!
will definitely be buying this. I have an inkling they’ll use the 2016 Royal Rumble as a vehicle to showcase the NXT talent with the Main Roster too, not just one or two people either, talking multiple
Will be getting the Blu ray. Only complaint is that I dont see Sasha vs Bayley’s classic NXT respect Ironwoman match. They tore the house down
Where on earth is the Ironwoman match?
They’re probably saving it for volume 2.
Really surprised Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks at Takeover Unstoppable didn’t make it. In fact, that Takeover isn’t represented at all.
I think Takeover Brooklyn is too recent to be in Volume 1. Needed more stuff before WWE Network.
Also surprised they didn’t put the Owens/Zayn match from that same show with Joe debuting at the end.
My only complaint is I wish they would have focused a little more on the pre-network stuff, that is, anything before Arrival in February 2014. Like most probably, I only started watching NXT regularly once the network came into existence. Before that it really was not widely available without a Hulu subscription. So to be able to see more of the 2012 and 2013 stuff that I actually have never seen before would be incredible. Especially since these aren’t on the network at all!!
I dunno why anyone but kids would buy this. just a bunch of spotfest matches with no ring psychology or storytelling in their matches. the art of professional wrestling truly is dust in today’s and age.
you don’t know much about wrestling do you?
And you think what you see on NXT is?
Go watch some old school wrestling – AWA, NWA, Mid-South, Smoky Mountain etc and learn about storytelling and ring psychology then get back to me.
I would watch those if I want to fall asleep.
There a reason they no longer exist. The ”Boring” chant fit it perfectly. While NXT get ”This is wrestling” chant.
Goes to show how little you really know about pro-wrestling then.
NXT matches isn’t even an artform, it’s just a bunch of spot monkeys jumping around doing flashy moves. That’s not wrestling!!!
Jason, ssriously, do you even watch NXT? I’m not talking a handful of matches. Do you actually watch the product? Because what you’re describing doesn’t fit NXT at all. What you’re describing is more like a local indy that runs shows in front of 10 people with a bunch of geeks doing moves just for the sake of doing moves. No rhyme or reason. No psychology. NXT is not like that at all.
Dude, NXT is just a bunch of spotfest matches. That’s not how the art of pro wrestling goes. Mic skills? Cringing. Ring Psychology? Awful. Knowledge & history among the superstars? Weak. Today’s stars are a step below from the stars of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s!
Jason, by not answering my question, that gave me my answer. You clearly don’t watch NXT. So no point in arguing.
Jason, these guys and girls are ATHLETIC and have HEART. The passion in NXT is missing in WWE’s main roster. You call them ‘spot monkeys’ but there is plenty of psychology to it too. Matches play out much more natural and aren’t rushed like they are on Raw. It’s not just like spot, no-sell, spot, no-sell, spot, spot. They are telling a story in there and are selling as the matches progess. Raw, with it’s forgettable storytelling and cheap product placement, is more for children. NXT is more for hardcore wrestling fans who appreciate hard work non-rushed matches. Silly silly Jason.
I enjoy NXT. Of course younger fans will enjoy it a lot these are their superstars. Of course it is good to look at the past but what young person wants to only watch stuff before they were born instead of being fans of people they can relate to and see live. Times change.
Why Jason u don’t know what the F ur talking about
Where’s Lemo?
I’ll be coming after you fake Lemo. It will be Summer Slam 1994 all over again !
Hah, the power of the urn will be with ME! Me, the one and only, the REAL Lemo!
Is it March Yet?!
No.
The full sail era of NXT actually started on 6/20/12.
This is going to be the BEST Blu-Ray ever!!! Hopefully they release an unreleased collector’s series on Undertaker soon. I wish they would bring back the Fantasy Concepts though. I would love to help out with that. If Daniel or Mark are reading this, please reply as I want to help bring back the Fantasy Concept. This set looks AWESOME though!!
Phenomenal. I can remember watching most of these matches when they aired, which is more than I can say for the main roster over the last few years. No waiting for Black Friday sales on this one!
Can’t wait to see everyone complaining that the KOW match is on the Blu Ray and not the DVD.
2016 already looks to be one of the best year regarding physical media collection, if content on the other great releases next year can reach an awesome peak like the NXT one. I guess, there is to be some goodies for the up coming vol. 2, so the 30 minute Iron man match between The Boss and Creamy Bailey is excused for not being on it, which is the only “fault” for me. But, I am more than certain, that there will be a vol. 2, cos it would’nt surprise me, if this will be one of the all time best selling set.
with dudleys shane o mac maybe the best of us title omg ecw 2016 might be one of the best years for dvd/bluray releases hopefully it lives up to all this hype
Looks like the only NXT Title change that’s missing is Bo Dallas beating Big E. Other than that, all other NXT Title and NXT Women’s Title changes are included. Of all the great matches listed, the Punk & Rollins vs Kings Of Wrestling match is the real gem here for me. Day 1 blu-ray purchase. No question.
Can’t wait!
