shouln’t put any matches that are already on blu-ray. Way too little a bit dissapointed

  2. patrick says:

the only repeats are cody vs rey(on reys set) and christian vs del rio(on ladder match set) one more thig they could,ve replaced rey-cody with edge -del rio and christian-rio with steel cage match or last man standing from extreme rules i know over the limit didn’t really have any good matches except ortob and christian but they could’ve put it

  3. CMPunkFAN#1 says:

I’m glad to see that WWE have included the WWE Championship Match John Cena vs. CM Punk from Money in the Bank and the No Disqualification Match Triple H vs. CM Punk from Night of Champions on BLU-RAY!Hopefully they will have plenty of more of CM Punk’s matches on the Best of RAW & Smackdown 2011 DVD & Blu-ray!!!

This is a really awesome listing! I’ll buy this! Can’t wait!

  6. LP1 says:

As far as the match listing goes for the best ppv matches of 2011, I just wanna say “All Repeats! Every match on the set has been released on other dvd’s already! UGH! WWE sucks!”

lol. Come on, we can’t have a thread on this site without someone saying that. 😉

  7. LP1 says:

@SRB, WWE has 13 ppv’s a year. Once a month, twice in October. Also I was there live in the Garden the other night for Survivor Series and the Rock/Cena vs Miz/Truth match was absolutely not better than the Taker vs HHH WM27 match. Was it far more hyped? Absolutely. But the match itself was boring for the most part. Cena sold for like 12 minutes straight and the crowd hated it. The only good parts of the match were when Rock was in at the beginning and end. The entire middle dragged.

  8. Anonymous says:

The SmackDown Money in the Bank match was better though…..

  9. SRB says:

No disrespect, but i for one am not surprised one bit that Cena/Rock vs Miz/Truth was NOT included in this set. Should it be? Absolutly. It should be there because IMO it was the most hyped, exciting match of the year. Dont tell me the return of The Rock does not beat HHH/Undertaker at WM. For hype alone the SS main event gets my vote as match of the year. You can expect it on Rock’s upcoming set without a doubt. However as timing goes i was not surprised that it’s not on this set. If WWE wanted to release this on time they would have had to scramble to include it. Someone said below that this set should have been released a month or two from now to include all PPV events. This I agree with. WWE i think has like 14 or 15 PPVs a year. How about releasing the set in January and including 1 match from each PPV???

  10. Will says:

@WWEBluFan just import the Survivor Series Blu-Ray from the UK. That’s what I’m doing for SummerSlam and all the other PPVs not being put out over here on BD.

  11. Dave says:

Was hoping they would include Cena/Punk II from Summerslam…ah well, just glad the one from MitB is included. Also wished they included the SD MitB match, i actually enjoyed that way more than the RAW one.

I think they did the best they could with this set, they atleast put in the good/great/excellent matches…would you want them to fill up on crap like Cena/Miz from OTL, Cena/Truth, Miz/Riley.

Quality over Quantity. If they put in like 20 matches, everyone would complain that half of them don’t even belong.

Aside from 2-3 matches, this looks like a good compilation for people don’t buy every ppv.

  12. Anonymous says:

Only 5 matches not on blu-ray.. Not enought to make me buy until it’s in wild wednesday at silvervision in like a years time after release, rather just collect the PPVS in full. It’s good in US though as you have less blu rays.

  13. Supersonic says:

I could bitch that two WM matches are included instead of their rematches a month later, but I won’t. I’m happy to get Cena vs. Punk on blu ray.

Anyone know if the match histories will be included? Ladder Match 2 felt naked without them.

  14. CMPunkFAN#1 says:

  15. WWEBluFan says:

Bummer. With Survivor Series apparently going to DVD only, this blu-ray was my best chance for Rock/Cena vs. Miz/Truth in glorious high-def. Hopefully they’ll put it on Rock’s new blu next February.

  16. SRB says:

Vincenzzzzzo.. Did you just complain about us complaining? LOL

  17. Troll says:

Bless you for adding runtimes… WWE should just change the text on their covers to “approx 9 hrs give or take 3 hours or so”

  18. Hoss Funk says:

The last set by comparison I think was better… I always felt the calender year should be from Mania to No Way Out with the DVD being realeased at some point in the summer months…

Similar to the last release that was a best of PPV 2009/2010

This one should have been a best of PPV 2010/2011…

That way it could have included the SummerSlam 2010 main event which featured Nexus versus Team WWE (with the surprise return of Daniel Bryan) in one of the most influential fueds and angles of that entire year… It’s also a match that hasn’t been released except on the 2010 DVD….

Just really making a suggestion as there were a number of matches that could have been included from that later part of 2010, and this would stop the arguement that it isn’t a “true” best of 2011….

  19. Vincenzzzzzo says:

All you people do is bitch and friggin’ moan and complain about everything.

  20. Mark D says:

@SRB Yes a whole 2 minutes and 14 seconds over.

You could show the overtime of the WrestleMania XII Iron Man match and WWE’s Signature open in that time. LOL

Seriously, remember when these sets were just short of 9 hours? They could have very easily thrown 3 or 4 more matches on here (it’s not like they would have to dig through the archive to find something, it would only be at most 11 months ago!).

  21. SRB says:

Mark, very nice move. At LEAST it’s at 7 hours.

  22. Mark D says:

UPDATE: I’ve justed added the run time for each DVD in the set. I’m sure you will want to discuss… 😉

  23. John says:

They SHOULD put Rock/Cena vs Truth/Miz, but they didn’t… because: No one will buy the Survivor Series DVD, then.

They should release this type of dvd AFTER 2011 is over. That way, you get a true “best of” dvd.

  24. Steve says:

So make a Blu Ray with the best matches yet can’t put each PPV on Blu Ray! Way to go backwards WWE

  25. Lawrence says:

Seems pretty silly not to include the last two PPV’s of the year on a set geared towards the best PPV matches of 2011. This should have been released in February or March 2012 so that Survivor Series and TLC matches could be included.

  26. SRB says:

“All you people who are complaining about WWE content on DVDS need to get a life. If you dont want the DVD then dont buy it! Simple as that. Just stop bitching about it. Jeeeez.” <— (A taste of things to come)

Adding matches from TLC or SS really might have saved this set. I predicted 15 matches on this set and we ended up with 14. The Blu-Ray is much more worth it on this one since youre looking at about 2 hours of extras. I really dont see how you can close out this set with Henry/Show and Henry/Orton was a horrible match. I wish we had gotten the SD MITB as well as the other chamber match. Not great choices.

  27. Will says:

So they wait until the end of the year, but really don’t include any Survivor Series or TLC matches? Come on WWE.

  28. Eduardo says:

Dissapointed hopefully they add more or something becuase it’s realy crap at least ill get the money in the bank on blu-ray
