We’re calling next week “Half Price WWE DVDs Week“! 🙂
Check back on Monday for an announcement on exactly what that entails. Safe to say the clue is in the name – you will have a chance to grab half price WWE DVDs and Blu-rays!
Thanks to WDN reader Chris Karabatsos for sending word that the newly announced “Wrestling Factions” DVD/Blu-ray is now up for pre-order here on Amazon.com.
Hell in a Cell 2013 made it only to DVD format in the US when released recently.
However, an exclusive Blu-ray edition is on the way to the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe. It will be released by WWEDVD.co.uk on January 27th.
In addition to the standard DVD extras, the Blu-ray version also contains the 5 exclusives shown below. Here is a look at each of the extras and their confirmed runtimes.
Monday Night RAW – October 14, 2013:
– Shawn Michaels Promises a New WWE Champion at Hell in a Cell (9:03)
Monday Night RAW – October 14, 2013:
– Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes & Goldust (20:42)
SmackDown – October 18, 2013:
– CM Punk vs. Big E. Langston (16:13)
Monday Night Raw – October 21, 2013:
– Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton Contract Signing (16:33)
SmackDown – October 25, 2013:

Shawn Michaels: Mr. WrestleMania is next month’s big WWE DVD release. There was some concern recently that the Blu-ray edition may have been cancelled following a recent trend of WWE pulling back on Blu-ray releases. Cover artwork only for a DVD version was uploaded and the Blu-ray product page on Amazon was made invisible to search. However, we’re happy to report the Blu-ray artwork has now come through.
The official content listing has not yet been released but we can confirm that the last match on the set is the “Streak vs. Career” match, rather than the Triple H/Undertaker Hell in a Cell match that Shawn Michaels was involved with as the special referee. WWE have stated that the WrestleMania 20 match with Chris Benoit and Triple H will not be included.
Release Date: February 11th, 2014.

The most one has sold for on the site lately is $139.99 here.
This weekend three more copies are ending and links to them follow below:

WWE: Raw 20th Anniversary Collection [221350014431] – $45.00 (used)
WWE: Raw 20th Anniversary Collection [181298230460] – $59.99 (used)
The Amazon page for Mr. WrestleMania Blu-ray was always visable. Whenever I looked it up, anyway.
What I meant was, like now for instance, if you go to Amazon and use their search box to find it only the DVD shows up. At least on their desktop site that I’m accessing. The actual product page was never removed.
Edit: Now the cover art is up it now shows in search. That seems to be how it goes lately.
Yeah, I know what you mean. That happened with the Best of RAW/SmackDown 2013 Blu-ray before it came down totally on Amazon. Thanks for the update.
Honestly, Mr. Wrestlemania is a worthless release but I must say the cover does stand out, I will get this anyway
HBK’s stellar performance at WM20 was nothing short of a masterpiece. It’s truly a shame that the match will not be included in the set. This set seems very incompelte to me at this point.
I really think to make this a blu-ray, but to cancel others is also an odd decision. While I am not pro-cancellation of any blu-rays, this one would be my pick for a cancellation. Raw/SD and PPVs are shot in HD and should have been released on blu-ray where this release could go on DVD and it wouldn’t have mattered as much. HBK’s release should have been an unreleased edition, which I have said before. These matches have been released multiple times, and releasing them again with a theme is not necessairly effective. I hope we can at least get some interviews with HBK before each match like the “My Journey” set.
I’m not a pro for cancellations or store/country exclusives.
It’s weird that Benoit’s not a part of HBK’s set when it’s advertised to feature every WM match of his. Benoit will be a part of the WWE Network. But before his matches, etc show, they’ll be a advisory message. Why couldn’t they just do that instead of eliminating him completely? Not just from HBK’s set, but I’m talking about in general as he was part of some of WWE’s best matches.
I don’t really agree with cancelling HBK’s set for blu ray because while most of his WM matches are pre-HD, his last three from WM24-WM26, which won Match Of The Year/Night were in HD and deserves to be released in the best quality possible. Instead of cancelling any blu ray, I rather all their releases be on blu ray.
Totally agree, SRB. If anything, Mr. WrestleMania should have been released only on DVD, while Best PPV and Best RAW/SmackDown released on Blu-ray. They still could have saved money, if that’s the reason why they’re making the cancellations in the first place.
Ooh, I’d love to have the Rhodes Brothers/Shield title change on Blu-ray. These don’t play on US players anymore, do they?
Half price where??
As the article says check back on monday So I’m assuming the “week” begins next week
