  1. Met fan says:

Just saw a clip on an Adam West feature of the King in a Superman type outfit with a big K on it confronting West in his Barman cowl at a Memphis taping that would be fun to see the whole segment on this

  2. Rafe says:

@RabidHeat: I’d rather see more of his Memphis matches over some of his atrocious WWE stuff.

@SRB: just don’t type if you’re gonna add I relevant comments in. Geez!!!

    • RabidHeat says:

But that’s not the point, is it? This set covers his whole career, and 4 Memphis matches on a set about his whole career is not bad going. You don’t seem to understand that if they made the set all about his Memphis matches that would not be a whole career retrospective.

  3. SRB says:

Next, people will be upset that Lawler’s nonexistent TNA run isn’t included.

  4. RabidHeat says:

People need to realise this a career spanning set, not ‘The Best of Jerry Lawler in Memphis’. If the footage ever all got owned by Vince, they could do a rare matches set for him then featuring all that stuff. But bombarding you with Memphis footge on his general career overview set wouldn’t be appropriate anyway.

  5. Mark Markson says:

I’m curious to see the complete match listing. So far, there seems to be a lot of less interesting matches on it. I don’t care much for the WWE stuff (except the matches with Bigelow and Owen). I was never a fan of his feud with Bret. And the match from KOTR I’ve seen so many times.

About the documentary, I’ve read his book. And I doubt we get something new in the documentary that isn’t covered in more detail in his book.

  6. LP1 says:

Something you have to keep in mind is WWE doesn’t have the complete Memphis library. The ownership issue with Memphis has been a mess for decades. Different people own different footage. Lawler has been trying for a while to get everything back under one roof, so to speak, but it’s not know just how much he was able to get a hold of. That’s something you have to keep in mind when looking and what could and should be on this set and what isn’t.

  7. Henry Schmidt says:

I’d like to see his USWA Title match with The Rock when he was starting out under the name Flex Kavana. That’d be a really nice rare match to have.

  8. motorhead says:

    Hello… Austin Idol anyone? WTF?!

  9. attitude.era.4life says:

Birth of the “Burger King” chants: a classic! 🙂

I’m gonna skip the Kiss my Foot match and the Cole feud, but understands why it is on there…everything else seems to range from bearable to excellent.. can’t wait to see what the remaining content will showcase.

  10. mark blaiss says:

im glad that wwe put together the wwe new dvd it good to be king the jerry lawler story
becuse he is one all time great and he is in top 50 wrestler of alll time with all time great like
hulk hogan and ric flair this dvd will be number 1 in us let me know from his number 1 wrestling fan

    • Daniel Bee says:

We’re happy to have the #1 Jerry Lawler fan amongst us! 😉

It should be good and in my estimation the DVD’s a long time coming and well deserved.

  11. Chrissy Cooper says:

I’m impressed with most of the early pre WWE matches but there’s a few matches I’d removes for other matches/segments simply because they weren’t good or just felt like a throwaway (kiss my foot match, hart vs Bigelow, TLC & WrestleMania match).

I hope the hair vs hair cage match with Austin idol is featured or the king of the ring match with ultimate warrior is featured (would’ve preferred this one over the Kiss My Foot match).
