A promo video for the DVD release of Legendary in the USA ran last night on the WWE Night of Champions PPV event. This revelead that Walmart will have the first release for the DVD, confirmed on their website for September 28th.
This makes sense given that Walmart have an exclusive DVD entitled “Legendary Moments” for release on the same day (a short feature hosted by John Cena), which essentially is there to help raise extra interest in the movie.

Our source states Legendary is due for release on 2 Disc “Special Edition” DVD and Blu Ray across North America on December 28th. This should be when you can expect to see the DVD in all stores.
As for the Blu Ray this will likely be exclusive to Best Buy stores in the usual fashion, from September 28 until December.
If you’re in Europe none of this matters as Legendary is confirmed for DVD and Blu Ray release later this month.
Article now updated to reflect that. I guess all the dates got the better of me on this one.
best buy site says they are getting legendary blu ray best buy exclusive on september 28th
Yea that will be why Walmart don’t have it. How did that slip my mind. Thanks for clarification.
BD of Legendary is a Best Buy Exclusive in the US, confimed. They are taking preorders now.
Legendary is planned for a Blu Ray release in the United States too, but down for December 28th. So looks like there will only be a DVD edition from Walmart until then in the US, but as you say Canada looks to be getting both from the off. Damage is not really comparible because that one isn’t a WWE release.
According to Amazon.ca, Legendary will be released on Blu-ray Sept. 28 distributed by Vivendi. Could be Canadian exclusive.

This was also the case with Steve Austin’s movie Damage which was on Blu-ray in Canada and UK but not in the US.
