WWEDVDNews.com has some exclusive info to reveal on June’s WWE: Falls Count Anywhere DVD and Blu-ray. Here we go.
(Kindly link back to this article if you are using any portion of this news post on your own websites and blogs).
This title was first revealed to be in the works just last week. There was rumors circulating that Mick Foley is all set to host the feature which turn out to be true.
Marketing: “A 3-Disc set containing some of the most brutal in-ring performers of all time including Mick Foley, Randy Orton, Batista and more! Hosted by legendary Superstar Mick Foley, who made his comeback at the Royal Rumble. Foley has recently raised his profile inside WWE, and has “mass appeal” sparked by current appearances in NBC’s 30 Rock and ABC reality show Wife Swap, as well as standup comedy tours and social media activity.”
Here’s the official synopsis for the release…
Sometimes, rivalries become so intense, they cannot be contained within the ring and cannot be contested by the usual rules. For matches that spill outside the ring, there are Falls Count Anywhere Matches.
Hosted by the Hardcore Legend, Mick Foley, this collection highlights more than 30 years of lawless bouts from WWE, NWA, WCW, and ECW, and features some of the most brutal in-ring performers of all time, including Sgt. Slaughter, Sting, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, the Road Warriors, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret “Hit Man” Hart, Triple H, The Rock, Kane, Big Show, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, and more.

@Vincenzzzzzo, @Dave
It should also be noted that Benoit and Sullivan had another such match at the January 1997 Clash of the Champions (XXXIV).
Raw/Smackdown > Tna Shitpact
@ Vincenzzzzzo
I recall that was from Great American Bash 1996 and it’s on the Benoit DVD from 2004. They also had a “San Francisco Death Match” at Superbrawl 7, which I don’t think has been released by WWE and sadly probably never. Don’t recall too much from their Superbrawl match though.
Even on Classics on Demand they always remove Benoit matches from old Nitros, WCW and WWE ppvs.
What WCW pay-per-view was it where Kevin Sullivan and Chris Benoit fought all over the arena and it ended in the bathroom stalls? I think it was from 1996 or so. Too bad they wouoldn’t put that match on there.
I don’t share the same “fear” SRB and RabidHeat have. To me, as I said in the other thread, keeping it as FCA only really limits it. I’m excited that it sounds like they’re taking the best brawls that spilled out in the arena rather than a singular match stip. Here’s hoping HHH-Jericho LMS is there, and maybe a Tupelo Concession Stand brawl or so… 🙂
@nightmare, Who is the guy that wear Hulkamania on shirt? Who that guy? Him have mustache
That cool I may buy this set it depends on the listing so this is the match from WM I am right thanks .
Reason I put the Foley/Edge pic in here? 1) Foley is hosting the DVD. 2) Whilst it may technically be a Hardcore match the falls count anywhere rule is applicable, and I expect matches like this too.
The guy with the thumb tacks in his back without a shirt on is Edge.
I know the guy in the plaid shirt is Mick Foley I am just wondering if I have this match or not
Ok thanks so who the guy in the thumb tacks in his back without the shirt on please .
”lt was 2006, Philadelphia. The night before my first WWE ppv, Survivor Series. I was on a tag team captaind by D Generation X!!! And the funny thing about that night, is 18,000 people in Philadelphia weren’t chanting DX, they weren’t chanting HBK, they cerntly weren’t chanting Triple H. They where chanting!!!!!!!!!!! CM PUNK! CM PUNK! CM PUNK!”

SmackDown > Raw (Wrestling Wise)
No thanks.
@ nightmare
That picture is from WM22 with Edge vs. Mick Foley Hardcore Match…looks like it was after Edge speared Foley through a flaming table.
Now that typing Bold has been disabled from the site, l feel like typing no more 🙁 There is no life in a sentence with out the usage of Bold 🙁 Mr. Bold signing out. :__(
What years was that match you have in the above picture please and what ppv was it on thanks I am very curious about that and this dvd.
@indyfan

Vincenzzzzzo they have already said they were going to put ECW matches on the Cage match dvd and the Ladder match 2 dvd. And both times they didn’t even include any ECW matches. They also did this to the Tag team dvd from a few years ago. So many times they do say this and then forget.
So LOLL!!!!!!
@ indyfan
They will be releasing a dedicated ECW release in the same month, we will probably see more of the WWECW since the other title will have old school ECW from 94-01.
indyfan
you bet it doesnt have ecw matches on it? even when it says it will. LOLLL!!!!
They should just make this a Best of Cactus Jack’s Falls Count Anywhere Matches:
Vs. Van Hammer (Clash)
Vs. Paul Orndorff (SuperBrawl III)
Vs. Vader (Texas Death Match HH ’93)
w/Sullivan vs. Nasties (Broad Street Bully)
Vs. Triple H (Canadian Stampede)
I bet zero ECW matches get on. This is going to be one lame dvd. I really hope not. But i have bad a feeling
Well we already knew Foley was hosting it, but what’s intersting to me is that some of the names on that list are more likely to be No Holds Barred etc rather than strictly falls count anywhere. I don’t remember Bret Hart having an offical ‘falls count anywhere’ match. Only a big backstage punch up with sting, so hopefully its better than the title suggests. If its not limited to that then you could have so many hardcore, ecw and god knows what else on there. Nice.
@RabidHeat. I thought the same thing. I think my fear might be true with this set, it wont be ONLY falls count anywhere, we are likely to get hardcore stuff, I quit and last man standing matches in there that spilled out all over the arena
I’m just trying to work out why the photo of the Edge/Foley ‘Mania 22 match is being shown here.
Hmm interesting. Looks like this get is going to span a lot more wrestlers and a lot more federations than I previously gave it credit for. Very excited to see the content for this and the ECW DVD. Glad to see Sting mentioned in the synopsis
Im going to wait until the Line up before I decide to purchase it
