Summerslam 2011 menu theme was replaced by Fight from Summerslam 2002.
I thought that was weird but No Way Out 2009 featured the 2001 NWO
PPV theme song on the menu listings.
One dvd that was never released during the year that was promoted
but failed to release which was Ted Dibiasi 2-Disk Set, Right?
Hopefully thats on the 2012 schedule along with a new Triple H
Set.
Ok, Thanks for letting me know that again because I remember buying
the Cena DVD and seeing my former next door neighbors at the mall just a month or so before Christmas and not to go off topic but I bought the Chris Jericho set for 5.99 at Mardens in Presskyle, Maine and thought it was a very good buy and very good copy also and I wasnt even expecting it to be there which made my day.
and Cena’s dvd I forgot that was released this year to that
I also bought sorry thought it was released late of 2010.
Cena’s was released in 2010. It’s just this list above has the dates the Blu-rays were released everywhere (they were Best Buy exclusive for 3 months prior, in the US).
Store exclusives are listed like that on he schedule I see running this site, so I just put it up here like that. A strange decision I know 😉
Greatest Steel Cage Matches of all time – bought, Wrestlemania 27 bought, Greatest Superstars of the 21st Century bought, Capitol Punishment 2011 bought and Summerslam 2011 bought thats all i’ve gotten from the 2011 WWE DVD collection which i’m not buying everything from it senese I have WWE Classics on Demand to help me with there is only certain ones I like from Superstar/Other sets.
@Anonymous… When I was little Warrior was my favorite. Thats why Id like a set on him. Lets be honest the guy was a bad businessman, didnt care about wrestling, and wasnt even very talanted… At least thats what the self-destruction set makes you believe. But, when youre 8 years old none of that matters. I just saw a guy in the ring who was unlike anyone else and i still feel that way. Warrior is still one of the best of all time, aside from skill and talent, im talking mainly ring presence. And how would you fill the set? He was in WWF from 87-91 with random returns and appearances until 96 then WCW in 98. His matches with Savage and Hogan were nothing short of classics. I used to love when he would face off against those guys and then a week later be in a tag match with them on the same team. Warrior/Hogan was like watching the mega-powers all over again. All i know is that Warrior was the first guy to beat Hogan on the grandest stage of them all in front of a huge crowd. WWE must’ve seen something in him at the time to put him over Hogan. i do love the self destruction set, but it’s a low blow on WWE’s part to make a 3 hour set on a guy and bash him the whole time then throw some of his greatest moments on there (Savage, Hogan and Rick Rude). Weird move on the part of WWE. Id expect something more like that on a WCW set since they were rivals. Am i really expected to believe Warrior was as bad as the set makes him out to be? Ive always wondered that
Well if its the first 72 he’d be 72-0! Might aswell just put the entire ‘streak’ on there. I think WCW lost count and just started making up the number he was on. But even if thats not everyone’s cup of tea, he was a huge name, as was the Warrior. They were beloved by fans in their time and if your’re like me and really care about the TRUE history of wrestling then I think they deserve to be recognised for their success, even if it was for a short time, and even if their styles are frowned upon these days. In their time they were superstars and that should not be passed over, regardless of their technical shortcomings or their repuations behind the scenes. You could say the same for Nash, Hall, Luger and quite honestly every wrestler. They should all be recognised for what they contributed. There is only one good reason I can think of to pretend a wrestler didnt exist.
Three discs on the Warrior? How would you even fill that? He didn’t have that many matches worth rewatching. A Goldberg 3 disc set could feature like 72 of his matches.
HitmanVanDam, I agree 100%.. I wish theyd open up that library and give me something i can really get into like the Rise and Fall of ECW 2 disc. ive watched that 100 times and it never gets stale. Id love sets on Rick Rude, British Bulldog, Andre, NWO, Lex Luger, Ultimate Warrior, Clash of the Champs set, and I really dont see how WWE can produce sets on Steamboat, but nothing on Rick Rude or Luger. Not saying Steamboat wasnt worthy of a set, but when you look back at those iron man matches in WCW who else was having them? Rick Rude, Sting, Luger and Flair (If im correct) we need sets on these guys.
Rick Rude, nWo, British Bulldog and Andre The Giant all long overdue. Jmmy Snuka, Terry Funk, Goldberg too. Owen Hart is unlikely otherwise I’d say him first. All of them would make good use of the video libraries. They just don’t want to cover some things and its hard to understand why. I’m wondering what happened to the Ted DiBiase set.
Steven-Very good idea. Along with the NWO set I’d love them to release a 3-disc Ultimate Warrior set. Obviously, that wont happen but I can hope, right? Still waiting on a Rick Rude set as well
DVDs I Have: The True Story Of WrestleMania (DVD); The Chaperone (DVD); Rey Mysterio – The Life Of A Masked Man.
DVDs I Want (As Of This Moment): Greatest Superstars Of The 21st Century (DVD); Randy Orton – The Evolution Of A Predator (DVD); The Ladder Match 2: Crash & Burn (DVD); Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart: WWE’s Greatest Rivalries (DVD)
I hope in 2012, WWE will release an NWO set like a complete history of them with their best moments or put an NWO Souled Out ppv set. I think it will be a big sell with the Attitude Era fans and fans of NWO.
I cant wait for the content for the KOTR set.
I hate those borders. Can you not adjust it on blu rays? My TV doesnt let me adjust much which is annoying.
I’m sorry, but it bothers me to no end that WWE release old footage (ie. King of The Ring) on blu-ray, but events that actually are in HIGH DEFINITION (ie. PPVs in 2011) do not get the blu-ray treatment. What the fuck is that about? I might buy the KOTR on regular DVD format so at least I can adjust the ratio and avoid the borders. I know that there are real problems and the world and maybe I’m a geek for caring, but I don’t get it.
All blu rays in 2010 were limited release at best buy I got hiac & SD 2010 in October 2010
Wait, read the post wrong. Got it now. Sorry about that.
The John Cena Experience DVD was November last year, the Blu Ray was released everywhere in February after it was initially exclusive to Best Buy.
