WWE DVD and Blu-ray Release List 2017

By popular demand from readers of WrestlingDVDNetwork.com we’ve put together a checklist of all WWE DVDs and Blu-rays released during the course of 2017, and what’s still to come!

So far this year collectors of WWE Home Video have already been treated to nearly twenty of them, which included: 8 PPV titles (and more actual events thanks to the debuting Double Feature series), 4 Superstar-themed compilations, 6 Blu-rays (a couple which were Steelbooks and/or UK exclusives), a stacked four-disc DVD set, a collection of unreleased material, and more goodies.

But don’t fill up your DVD shelf just yet – there’s more to come!

Some big-time Blu-rays are set to close out the year with a dose of Attitude Era and NXT, not before the “Biggest Party of the Summer” arrives on DVD (and Blu-ray in certain territories), while Finn Bálor leads the “Iconic Matches” DVDs to the United States for the first time, along with all of the below.

We’d like to take this opportunity to report the news that unfortunately the “WWE Annual” DVDs appear to be no more as the 2017 installment has been cancelled due to a lack of retailer demand. This UK exclusive series dates back to 2011 with a new title put out each year since.

  1. HWMGHOST says:

Hey might have to update this. Dawn of the Attitude and nxt from secret to Sensation weren’t released on blu ray

  2. Alec DeLuca says:

Does anyone know where I can purchase Smackdown Seasons 2006, 2007, 2008? I’m trying to find box sets of those years that contain every episode from those years not including PPV events. I know WWE hasn’t released anything official of the sorts but so I’m looking for leads on anyone that might be secretly making stuff like this.

    • LP1 says:

If you have a DVD recorder, you can just make your own box sets by buying blank discs and recording them off the Network.

    • RabidHeat says:

I don’t think this website is big on promoting bootleggers, buddy!

    • David says:

I have SD 1999-2007 and RAW 1993-2008 Blu-ray, also have others like complete Sunday Night Heat, Shotgun and Saturday Nights Main Event…got them few years ago from a trader. They are all original broadcasts and excellent quality, so no edits from the Network. Also have complete Nitro, Thunder and Clash of Champions along with some years of Saturday Night. I like to keep these as its pretty cool to compare these to the Network editions and no matter what people say, even small edits, WWE edited A LOT of these shows on the Network from what I spot checked so still love to keep the original broadcasts in my collection and I don’t think i will ever part ways with them.

Don’t think you will find a lot of people advertising these online as WWE would probably sue them for copyright infringement. However I don’t like to advertise these sites here as no matter what they are still bootlegs, however I am still subscribed to the Network and support WWE by purchasing their media so keeping these full shows that WWE will never sell on DVD/Blu-ray for my own personal collection for my enjoyment should be fine.

  3. SCSA says:

Do these guys still have the time…/ do they still have the chance to make the ’30 Years of Survivor Series set into a Blu-ray set⁉️

    • whut2 says:

it’s not a time, but a demand thing. they obviously just don’t feel like it’s worth it.

as far as the general future of WWE putting out blurays goes, I can only urge anyone interested in further releases to make sure to buy those that are being released, preferably not just months later when their price has decreased but at release.

in short: if you want them to support the format, you have to financially support that decision.

      • SCSA says:

That’s all I ever did! Though they need to help us to if they want the support from us for buying their goods… thats by giving us all the great DVD’s that have come out recently on to Blu-Ray! E.g. Kurt Angle set, 30 years of SurvSer, Unreleased matches set, etc!!

  4. Daniel Wissert says:

    Warrior, Warrior, Warrior!

    • SCSA says:

You talking about the Ultimate Warrior I take it⁉️ Well there have already been 2 big sets out on him both on DVD & Blu-Ray!

  5. Joseph De Feo says:

From the upcoming releases, I’m looking forward to 1997 & NXT.

  6. Brent Jackson says:

Still waiting on the Undertaker documentary! Hopefully a Hulk Hogan one as well when he comes back.

  7. Gary says:

Keep putting old school out from the 70s and 80s that is what I enjoy watching!

  8. SCSA says:

OMG I haven’t brought 1 set all year! Lol! I thought it was ‘The True Story of the Royal Rumble’ Blu-Ray, but that came out last Dec in 2016!

I’ve had my eye on; Wrestlemania Monday Blu-Ray but wasn’t so happy w/the content
    I also wanted these sets… but on Blu-Ray only;
    Best of 2000s
    Kurt Angle: The Essential Collection
    WWE Unreleased: 1986-1995
    30 Years Servivor Series

I also had my eye on the ‘Dawn of the Attitude’ Blu-Ray, although again the content doesn’t look to be it’s best. Instead of the ‘Ground Zero Undertaker Vs Shawn Michaels’, I was looking to see their ‘Bad Blood Hell In A Cell’ Match!

    • Joby says:

The only thing worth shelling out your money on is the Kurt Angle and DDP set.

      • SCSA says:

        Well, I’m still thinking about the Kurt Angle set, although I’ve already got a few of my favourite Angle matches on Blu-Ray including;
Angle Vs Shane at King of the Ring, Angle Vs HBK at WM21 & a few others!

    • whut2 says:

not sure if you are trolling. but you can’t blame the company for not putting out blurays if those that do make it onto shelves don’t sell.

  9. Brandon vendetta says:

I’m surprised that unreleased is leading this poll so far.

  10. Brad Attitude says:

The best dvd of this year so far is the Kurt Angle collection set.

  11. Joseph De Feo says:

I have WrestleMania Monday, Diamond Dallas Page: Positively Living (Steelbook) & Fight Owens Fight: The Kevin Owens Story [Blu-Ray].

  12. andemoine winrow says:

they must be having the ‘tables ladders and chairs’ pay-per-view early because the dvd will be out in november. why is this?

  13. andemoine winrow says:

the’30 years of survivor series’ dvd should be coming out in november since the newest ‘survivor series’ will take place that month. not in october. the ‘no mercy/ hell in a cell’ dvd release should be out next month not in november. what is going on?

    • LP1 says:

How can No Mercy & Hell In A Cell come out in October when Hell In a Cell is on October 8th? It’s always at least 4 weeks after a PPV happens until it’s released on home video.

  14. Robert emons says:

I’m still upset no 3 disc set release for December thought it would be something good.. :/

  15. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

RoboMania gets more votes than Best of RAW/Smackdown and Best of PPV’s.. -lol- just another example how boring crap the current WWE product is.

  16. Stephen says:

The Annual was just a combination of the Best Of PPV and the Best Of Raw/Smackdown right? Are they coming out separately in 2018 or are they all cancelled?

    • RabidHeat says:

It was yeah, but it was cool because it was better value and saved space on the shelf, lol.

      • RabidHeat says:

And it was the perfect summary of a year’s TV and PPV all in one set. To be honest I haven’t bought a PPV DVD (apart from Rumble and Mania) since they started doing them. Maybe WWEDVD.co.uk have cottoned on to this and are trying to sell more individual PPV DVDs, lol.

  17. RabidHeat says:

Yeah, I bit the bullet and purchased the Best PPV Matches 2016 set for £5.99 the other night after hearing from another user that WWEDVD.co.uk had told them the Annual set wasn’t coming out. End of an era!

  18. SRB says:

Me personally, I voted for The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania. I mean, the technical work from The Jetsons as a tag-team has phenomenally improved over the years. I remember their programs with Demolition, The Rockers, and the Killer Bees. Classic matches without a doubt.

    • RabidHeat says:

Lol @ the lack of response to this.

    • whynot says:

I think the Jetsons in WWE were already of a shadow of their former selfs compared to their territory days (their series against the Super Destroyers, their brief run against the Fabulous Ones in Texas and their bloody feud against the Flintstone Family).

      • SRB says:

I can agree with this, but who else could match the raw power of Elroy or Spencer Cogswell? Not Demolition. Not even The Natural Disasters. Now, one of my favorite programs was when The Mountie went against Elroy. I mean, that match is still considered a 5 star classic today, which is why I voted for this DVD as my main pick. Over the years, the match is still up there with Macho/Steamboat and Bret/HBK. Don’t even get me started on the time when Henry Orbit came out of retirement to face Hillbilly Jim. You just don’t see classics like that anymore.
