WWE SummerSlam 2010 will be released on DVD and Blu Ray tomorrow. In the United States the 2 Disc Blu Ray edition is exclusive to Best Buy until December.
According to a recent advertisement the Blu Ray will be priced at $19.99 at Best Buy. We’d definitely recommend picking up this version because the only special feature on the DVD release is a one minute interview. The Blu Ray also has the Raw and Smackdown shows leading into the PPV.
If you can’t wait until tomorrow for the event and you’d like to download it in digital form, SummerSlam 2010 is now on iTunes store. It is priced at $14.99 for the HD + SD (standard) quality combo and $9.99 for SD only.
Tylor Gallaher sent in the following about the SummerSlam 2009/2010 DVD double pack which looks to confirm it for K-Mart and speculates an alternative cover:
I was reading my sunday paper, and came across a K-Mart Ad that has the SummerSlam 2009/2010 Pack on there with a September 14th Release Date. It does say “Ours Exclusively” so… yeah. There you go!
It has a picture of the two pack. It is a side-by-side cover with the 2010 event on the left. Interestingly enough, the 2010 Cover is the orange poster with out any “Live on PPV, Sunday..”. It also has the DVD logo in the lower left-hand corner. It has a “Free Bonus DVD” Sticker in the middle covering both.
