The match listing for this upcoming three disc dvd set is totally awesome. Also, I never knew that Gorilla Monsoon fought Muhammad Ali in a match. Also, it’s about time that Bret Hart’s October 12, 1992 WWE World Title win over Ric Flair got issued on a dvd, that’s the match that I’m most excited about on this dvd set. In my opinion, WWE made the correct choice in adding Gorgeous George to the list and leaving Matt Hardy off of the list. Also, Gorgeous George was one of the two biggest stars of pro wrestling back in the 1950’s. WWE should have added Sting, The Honky Tonk Man, The Ultimate Warrior, Pedro Morales, Booker T and Yokozuna to the list instead of Jeff Hardy, Kane, Pat Patterson, Sgt. Slaughter, Jerry Lawler and Batista. Almost all of Jerry Lawler’s real success as a pro wrestler came in the USWA, which is a promotion that I totally don’t care about.
i don’t think most of u will agree with me but they shouldve taken out Gorgeous George and put in Matt Hardy
Not Gorgeous George, Somebody like Dory Funk. JR or Junkyard Dog. Gorgeous George is a legend and Game-Changer
No match 4 Jeff hardy?
Finally…Flair Vs Bret from Stack ‘Em Whack ‘Em makes it to DVD. almost worth buying the DVD for this match alone. a lot of the other matches seem to be DVD debuts aswell which is a great touch!
I am f’n shocked to see Ric Flair vs. Bret Hart for the
WWE Championship from Smack’em, Wack’em 1992, made a DVD
Set, I’m surprised WWE finally thought of this one again
which was truly a good match! and one of my fav’s
Ok Mark said do a 5 disc set. Not so fast, just go to 4 if they are able to.
Anyway a lot of those matches are rare and haven’t been released which is awesome. But remember, it’s probably hard to find good and rare/unreleased matches because all the best matches were the most famous and on the biggest cards.
That match listing looks fine for a start, not too much with the “greatest WWE superstar of all time” tho!
Why won’t WWE do a five disc set for these type of releases, it’s not like it’s too hard to throw a few graphics on the start of a match, hopefully once the full digitalisation of the library is complete we’ll see a five disc set.
Any word on those inserts? It will be a real shame if a great DVD like this doesn’t have one.
It’s good to see a few new matches included on this dvd set, can’t wait to finally see the entire match where Bret won his first WWE title
for me its perfect. wwe are asking people like wwedvdnews.com what fans want in dvds. so this shows that they want to improve the dvds
The match listing is pretty impessive alot of rare matches that we don’t get very often I see about 3 repeats matches on here but for the most part wwe did a good job on their match listing ready to get my hands on this dvd next month.
Haha yes! Halftime Heat!
Actually, I’m happy that it’s a different Hogan-Sheik match. I wasn’t posting sarcasm. And I also agree with others that they shouldn’t put the same matches on several DVDs.
Chris, the way I see it is they went ahead and included rare match after rare match which is just what us the fans were asking for. If they included the biggest matches (Savage-Steamboat, Hogan-Andre) everyone would complain because they have been released 1,000 times. I am not sure what you would of perferred but to each their own.
Good thing it’s a different Hogan-Sheik match this time.
Doesn’t look that good.
Wow, the match listing looks pretty great. Despite almost everybody hating the top 50 list, they are giving us a ton of rare matches, most of them gems. I like it.
we see brets title win on dvd, yes indeed. plus matches not on other dvds. it seems wwe are wise to our needs.
Hmm, some interesting match-ups there. Even when I cannot agree at all with the ranking, I am gonna pick this up. Got no other choice as a collector. ^^
