I wont get this match selection has already been used
After thinking of the match between HBK & HHH in 1997 for the European Title, I really wish that they had added it now!
Or if not, then I just hope that they show it in the Documentary!
The crybaby match sounds awesome
kliqtest
The Action Zone tag match is on this set (finally), so this is a must buy for me to get that match alone!
Instead of the Ladder Match @ WM X ..There are other matches with Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon out there from old Coliseum video of releases which were pretty good. One Match in particular I remember was from the Wrestlefest 94 VHS tape where they wrestled from August of 93 in Siganaw, Michigan for the IC Title.. Great match that ended in DQ. WM Ladder Match has been seen infinite times on DVD. They could’ve also added the Diesel vs Sid Lumberjack Match from In Your House where Shawn, Razor & Kid were among the Lumberjacks.. Don’t understand WWE’s logic at all sometimes.
Totally agree! It’s dumbfounding that there are no matches from 1995 at all. Shawn, Razor, and while Kid celebrated with Diesel at the end of the Lumberjack Match (perfect match to include), even HHH was among the lumberjacks in the match. Until Razor’s induction last year, that match was the only time all five guys were in the same segment on WWE-TV.
@attitude.era.4life: they already did a hbk vs hhh documentary on wwe rivalries on their network last year.
@anan: the matches you listed isn’t really Kliq related … it’s more DX related.
That’s true. They do, however have a DX match on there. Most of the matches are Kliq related as they should as it’s a Kliq set. But since they have one DX match, few more wouldn’t hurt, even if they were just Bluray exclusives. They definitely have the space for it since the documentary is seemingly short with a shorter list of chapters than WWE’s docs usually have.
I’m also surprised that nothing from the HBK-HHH rivalry aren’t part of this set. I’m also surprised that the following aren’t present:
DX/Cena/Taker vs Legacy and CM Punk – Smackdown Anniversary show in 2009
Taker/Cena vs DX vs Jeri-Show – RAW in 2009, 6 days from Survivor Series
Taker vs HHH – WM28 (it had a DX reunion of sorts when HBK superkicked Taker, who then got pedigreed by HHH. However they are releasing another Streak set on Taker so that’s fine since it’ll be on there.)
Razor Ramon vs Diesel – Summerslam 94 (they have their Superstars match after all)
Why in the world are they showing that ladder match from WM 10 yet again, after it’s been on several other DVD compilations? Have they ever heard of originality for once at WWE Home Video? Surely they must have other matches within their archives they can select than this thing, such as the 1995 Summerslam ladder match between Razor and HBK?
I’m surprised no matches between Shawn Michaels & Triple H from their 2002-2006 rivalry made it. Their SummerSlam 2002 or the six man tag match from Backlash 2003 (also featuring Nash) would’ve been nice inclusions.
Hope is, they are planning a Greatest rivalries release between HBK and HHH..and there for they are saving those epic battles for that!?
Loved that multi years long feud.. I never can decide wheather they were best at being foes feuding.. or friends in the DX.. but for sure, both versions were highly entertaining.
Dude Nash hall h.b,k xpac rule
I’m torn whether I should get this or not. I already have the four of the first five matches on The Best of Seasons 1 & 2 of RAW, The Ladder Match and No Holds Barred on other dvd sets. And I dislike the matches from 2003 and onwards.
Might just borrow it from a friend instead.
Off topic, watching the Lawler DVD the Lawler Kaufman match looks like they used 2 different tapes, there is some commentary that is not there from Lance Russell, the part where Russell says only the 2nd move and it’s going to be a disqualification isn’t there.
HHH and HBK have a lot less matches than the other guys. That’s actually pretty cool. Razor, Diesel and Kid really deserve their due.
WOW this is a great match listing! SO glad to see the other Kid/Razor match from 1993, Steiners/Outsiders (a match I have wanted for years), and other good stuff. The Diesel/Razor IC Title match has been on a lot of compilations by now, though, but it’s obviously essential to this set. Looks like the documentary is short which is fine by me. More time for matches. This is EASILY the best release of the year so far.
The Intercontentinal match from Superstars between Ramon and Diesel is only on The Greatest Superstars of the 90s I think!
That same match, (Razor vs. Diesel for the IC title from Superstars in ’94) is also on the True Giants DVD, released around last Christmas.
You’re totally right!!! Thanks!
Whats up with the TWO MONTH delay for the release in Europe?? How can it take two months to adjust so small details that it is to get this release out on another continent? Thoroughly unprofessional business operating!
Too bad when they got Sting and Triple H together to do those post-episode discussions for the upcoming Monday Night Wars DVD/Blu-Ray sets – they didn’t have the two of them do guest commentary on their WM31 match. It would have entice people to watch the match on this Blu-Ray and not on the Wrestlemania Blu-Ray.
Why would Sting do alternate commentary on a Kliq DVD?
I’m really looking forward to this. There are quite a few matches that I don’t have and don’t even recall seeing.
After looking at the full listing, Im looking forward to watching up to 4-5 matches.
However I always enjoy the Documentary the most & this Doc looks rather short
Ok, I’ll admit, seeing the full match list, I may just pick this up. For some reason, as a rule, I still get the DVDs, though. This won’t be an exception.
The HBK/Diesel match from IYH was edited on the Best of IYH DVD which i think will be the same with this one, there were instances of choking with cable and it cut it away. The match isn’t edited on From the Vault Shawn Michaels.
Yeah, also when Diesel choked Earl Hebner with Hebner’s belt. Did they cut away from Shawn getting choked with Hebner’s belt too? I can’t remember.
Honestly, I can accept those being cut out more than I can them cutting out shots of Martha Hart from the aftermath of the 10-man tag from Canadian Stampede. That just seemed petty.
The editing of Martha Hart isn’t so much petty as it is necessary. While she has no legal recourse to demand the editing out of her husband, she could (and would) probably sue them for using HER image.
It’s WWE’s footage, and she willingly took place. They can (and have) used the original footage, both live and on tape/DVD. She has no say in whether footage of her can be used.
*she willingly took part.
Thank god for the back catalogue released through Silvervision and the balls from wwe back then to release the uncut and unedited versions of their own product.
I find it so pathetic to get a shot of the crowd…very often from a complete different show, when it “suddenly gets too violent”!
It’s not that a choke hold or choking with a cable or belt was more or less violent or expressive in the 90’s than today..
I have never really understood wwe’s restriction on their own product or even history.
Will the Diesel vs HBK from “Good Friends, Better Enemies” be the version from the HBK “From the Vault” with Nash and HBK doing commentary?
I’m torn. I like that because it’s as it aired, but I like the IYH version because it has the promo video and the pre-match interviews that aired before it on the PPV–plus it’s got the ‘WWF’ references in tact. One or two odd camera switches weren’t as big a deal to me as I thought they would be.
Pass for me.
No once gives a s***. I don’t get why people love to announce if they are going to buy it or not
no one f’ing cares
You mean to say that YOU don’t care. For someone who claims he doesn’t care, you sure are getting bent out of shape over this.
Haha preach!
