Matches & Stars to be Included on WWE Top 50 Superstars DVD Revealed?

November 5, 2010 by Daniel Bee

According to Netflix the following matches will be included as bonus material on the upcoming WWE Top 50 Superstars of All Time DVD, and this also gives some more insight on which wrestlers will be showcased.

– Lou Thesz vs Argentina Rocca

– Jack Brisco vs Dory Funk Jr

– Gorilla Monsoon vs Andre the Giant

– Hulk Hogan vs Iron Sheik

– Ravishing Rick Rude vs Ricky The Dragon Steamboat

– The Rock vs Mankind

– Ric Flair vs Bret Hart

– Eddie Guerrero vs Big Show

– Edge vs The Undertaker

We can’t confirm this information just yet, nor can we say this is a complete list of matches for the DVD. An informed prediction would be to say these will probably turn out to be true, with more added on top. Keep checking back for updates.

Nearly 30 superstars out of the 50 were revealed by the DVD cover which you can view by clicking here.

I agree with Brent Mix, the WWE needs to not keep re-releasing the same matches on DVD releases. I made the same comment about the Bobby Heenan dvd. We have got the 1992 royal rumble match on a couple of releases already. Waste of an extra, would rather see more Monsoon-Heenan dialogue. You are essentially paying for the same match.

  2. Jeff says:

this dvd looks like shit, and the list of the 50 greatest superstars is a JOKE. DO NOT buy this dvd.

  3. tedz says:

Lets pray that Mankind vs Rock match is from Royal Rumble 1999!

  4. Brett Mix says:

If Steamboat-Savage is on the list can it please be for the love of god, one from Toronto or Boston and not WM 3 since we have seen that 1,000 times.

  5. Chris says:

I just hope Bruno Sammartino is in the list.

at first i was very happy about this dvd, but after thinking about it i feel we might just end up with a round of complaints. the cover so far is good, but the countdown will probably not be accurate in the least. Hart isnt on the cover and who says hogan and flair are even on the countdown? if vince only chooses guys he likes and gets along with then the countdown will have cena and steamboat and thats pretty much it… no flair, hogan, warrior or savage… and the match listing will be a total toss up. you could really throw any match that ever took place on it and somehow its going to be a mess. we dont need the hogan match on there, but wwe should take matches only with guys who are on the countdown. all im saying is that in the end you cant make everyone happy.

  7. Corey says:

looks good but Shiek and Hogan again i mean yeah its the birth of Hulkamania but it’s been a lot of releases and it’s not worth another spot. But Lou Thesz wow that’s weird for WW
