The 2013 WWE DVD schedule lists a new Mick Foley biography, and it looks to have the go ahead.
Foley left the following tweet earlier this week, making reference to the upcoming WWE products and projects he’s involved with. Though he mentions Christmas here, the DVD is currently slated for an April 2013 release.
@realMickFoley: With a new card set, new action figure, new Christmas book, new @WWE DVD, & major role in #WWE13, it’s looking like a very Foley Christmas!
Goldberg, on the other hand, has been inferring the opposite. Responding to fans on Twitter about his possible DVD, he stated that the schedule listing is the first he’s heard of it, and that he’d be “lying if saying there was any truth to it”. We know that WWE has considered releasing a Goldberg DVD since at least 2010 when we first saw it penciled in to the schedule, but it may be the case that the company have just not yet reached out to him for contributions. As always, the full year list cannot be taken as definitive and will have inevitable changes.
In the video below, Gerald Orr gives a first look at the new CM Punk WWE DVD.
Recently WWE released the following clip which boasts a “never-before-seen outtake” from the DVD filming. You can see the photo shoot responsible for the cover art.

When looking at the 2013 schedule the Goldberg set jumped out as one to skip.
Hitman just made a post on facebook that he is reviewing matches for his upcoming dvd!

wwedvdnews dont you get the dvds early cause thats what i thought um you always usually post the pre realease pics of ppv dvds like 3 days before the release and it comes out tomorrow and i dont see any pre realese pics plz reply
Usually more than 3 says before but I don’t have Summerslam at the moment.
I am really looking forward to the Mick Foley release. That’s a documentary that I hope has a run time of 2hrs. Lots of great stories to tell on his end, I suppose. I want to hear his many stories about him and Terry Funk in Japan blowing each other up.
Doesn’t matter to me either way if a Goldberg DVD is released. If it does, I cannot imagine this getting the 3 disc treatment. 2 disc DVD, single disc Blu-ray is good with me.
It will probably be 3-disc to make it look like an epic set, but the runtime will probably be measly like Greatest Superstars of the 21st Century. Not enough space used up and could actually fill 2 discs, etc. I predict just a match anthology with a team like Cole and Striker presenting, a la the Macho Man set with Grisham and Maria.
You’re right… probably will be a 3-Disc set, just with 5 matches on each disc. Maybe some extras and exclusives.
Well if it was just a Goldberg match anthology, why would they bother contacting him about it? I never expected him to have any input.
maybe its the self destruction of william goldberg
I know a Goldberg DVD would be entertaining. I think to have a compilation of his matches would be great, but you’d have the similiar problem if you made another Warrior DVD, short matches, lack of content and not much input from the actual living wrestler. If WWE thinks it will work it will be a go ahead. I’d grab it, but mostly because I’m into WCW. That’s why this is interesting. I look at it more as a chance to get more WCW on DVD than a true Goldberg set. I was never a fan of Goldberg, didn’t see what the hype was, but whenever anything WCW goes to HD/Blu-Ray it’s an opening day purchase on my end.
Goldberg, at his peak, was as big as almost anyone has ever been in wrestling. For the sake of history and honesty there should be a Goldberg DVD if both parties are open to it. I’m not saying that because I’m a Goldberg fan. I never was really. But I’m saying that because I believe it to be true. He wasn’t too well rounded becuase he hadn’t been around that long BUT there were certain things he did better than anyone else ever has. There is only one Bill Goldberg and of all the living names yet to have a DVD Goldberg would be near the top of the list for me.
Mick Foley is the best person I have ever met in person. He deserves all these things and more. Great for him!!!
Vince hates Goldberg. Goldberg hates everyone. So basically, expect Goldberg in the Hall of Fame in 2015.
I really don’t care much for a Goldberg dvd. I’ve read his autobiography and followed his career from 1998 in WCW to WWE in 2003. I agree with critics that he became a mega star overnight as he was in the right place at the right time … but as far as great matches go, I don’t see that many ranked right up there.
I sure hope they do the Foley DVD.hes long overdue for a documentary
Does Goldberg deny everything he’s speculated to be involved in?
“The Self Destruction of Golberg” coming next summer? 😉
