Yeah I wish the do was longer too. But at least he’s getting one. The previous Randy Savage set should have been a documentary if you ask me. All WWE had to do was induct the entire Poffo Family into the Hall Of Fame and things may have gotten cooler between him and Vince, which could have then led the previous DVD to be a documentary set with Randy involved. But Vince’s ego and the politics that goes into who’s inducted prevented that.
My only question is why were Sheamus and Ziggler interviewed? That’s not a complaint. It’s just everyone else there had some history with him in some point or another. Punk has paid tribute to Randy Savage with the use of the top rope elbow drop or so he has said. Maybe Ziggler grew up as a Savage fan. Heads was in Ireland so I don’t know how much of Randy Savage he got there.
I’ve had people tell me Scott Hall, Jake Roberts who was one of Savage’s best feuds in early 1992, the Slim Jim people of which Savage promoted their products as only the Macho Man can belong on the documentary. Sting too as Savage did work with him in WCW, as an opponent and in 1996 or 1997 as a very temporary ally of sorts as both men stood in the rafters. They may have been tag team partners too. All of that is very true. But there’s something to consider. My guess is this documentary was being put together before Sting’s 2K15 involvement and maybe before Hall and Jake were sober enough to participate.
Wow the documentary is only an hour and a half? Man I’m looking forward to this alot less now. Thats very disappointing.
Does the Randy Savage Collectors Edition only apply to Americans? If not, where else can it be found?
US, Canada and Australia.
BestBuy.com still shows my order for the Savage Collector’s Edition (when it was priced at $12.99), but the sku is no longer active. Man I hope they honor that.
I know one guy (not me unfortunately) that has Amazon Canada definitely honoring the CDN $12.56 initial pricing error of the box set there!
Sounds like that guy is either a really cool or complete asshole – I can’t decide.
I can never quite tell either. 😉
I always lean more towards the latter than the former.
