Another two WWE DVDs look to have gone out-of-print now in the US. Those being ECW: Extreme Rules [2 Disc] (UPC 651191945825) and Cyber Sunday 2008 (UPC 651191946839). To clarify, this means the titles will have no more copies produced but does not mean they will suddenly be pulled from shelves or unavailable to buy.

As you may remember, it was recently reported here that the following list of WWE DVDs and Blu-rays all went out-of-print within the past 12 months or so.

  1. RayReptile says:

The two local Wal-Marts in my area have already pulled ALL Rumbler/DVD packs saying they were a 2-week display only and they have all been sent back. I was quite disappointed since I was waiting to get my paycheck. Oh well.

  2. motorheadforever says:

Ok, i’ve been to five walmarts in two states and STILL can’t find these rumbler sets. I could care less about the toys, the sets are cheap compared to other retailers, i just want the discs. WHERE IN THE HELL ARE YOU PEOPLE FINDING THESE THINGS?! I could use all the help i can get seeing as these sets SEEM to in-stor only exclusives. Thanks!

  3. Jamyn Blanton says:

Do you know why some of these DVDs are randomly going out of print? Also, the Summerslam package looks cool.

    • Daniel Bee says:

Just looks like mostly old ones. May not be financially viable to keep producing titles that don’t sell too well given their age. Something like that.

      • David says:

I’m actually surprised that some of the 2002 ones were still in print until recently – Summerslam, Unforgiven, No Mercy, Armageddon. Looks like prices for those BRAND NEW have skyrocketed on Amazon marketplace, except Armageddon.

        King of the Ring 2002 – $40
        Summerslam 2002 – $119
        Unforgiven 2002 – $55
        No Mercy 2002 – $119
        Survivor Series 2002 – $80

        • ChadWWE says:

Amazon goes both ways, you can get stuff cheaper than ebay, but then again you have people listing outrageous prices just to see if they get it.

          • David says:

I agree with that, but in most cases the sellers do get what they ask especially with exclusives and “rare” DVDs/Blu-rays. I saw the Money in the Bank 2013 Blu-ray go for over $50 the first couple weeks of release. I guess people are just not patient to wait til stock arrives at Best Buy and/or Walmart and pay $15-$20.

  4. Isrs4life says:

Here in Canada we still have No Holds Barred available at HMV but it was
in an “extreme value pack” with Hulk Hogan unreleased collecters series
well I payed 20 bucks when I saw it and it was the only copy at the time and
in good condition but I went back to HMV last week this was a month ago maybe and
I saw another copy of the same extreme value pack that was also good.

I dont have a photo of it thow

This type of item could be rare in Freddy, we dont usually get stuff like this all thow
I seen a Rock and Cena one but it was a cheapa$s version of a set that I got in the
states with Cena and Rocks previous 3-Disk dvd sets that I bought last year that
    I proudly own.

  5. Niko says:

I’m slightly unclear on the Rumbler sets. When you open up that box, is the standard set and casing in there along with the toy? Or is THAT the only box ? I have minor OCD with uniformity in my collection.

    • Mr Disc says:

Well i would guess that the original DVD set will be inside the box with the figure. It’s just a window design for the toy.

    • Jimmy Luke says:

Mr Disc, if you are an OCD – make sure you dont open a rare Rumbler/DVD similar to that image with XAGE signature above. I think that is the “only” rumbler/DVD set I saw from the posted images that has the wrestler (John Cena) associated with the DVD set (he is one of the selected 50 greatest superstar set). I dont get it how Kofi Kingston be placed in WCW DVD set where he did not even stepped foot in WCW 🙁

  6. David says:

I’m surprised the WWE films – especially No Holds Barred are OOP already…i guess they produced enough for stores to carry.

As for the PPVs and compilations I’m sure if people wanted those they would have bought them. Honestly, who doesn’t have the Ultimate Ric Flair Collection by now?!

At least they don’t go OOP like ROH…once they’re out of stock, 95% of the time those titles are OOP. Look at some titles from 2002-2008 on ebay…just crazy prices.

    • Mr Disc says:

I would put my money on it being the fact that nobody really wants No Holds Barred. Fremantle are releasing the Blu-ray in October. Can’t see it sell very well to be honest

      • I would love to get No Holds Barred on blu ray. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it’s coming out in the US, and judging from the cover, the UK release is just an up conversion of the dvd, which I already have.

Would be nice if it had bonus features (like maybe the tie in feud). Oh well, at least I have a way to watch it as is.

        • David says:

Yeah, it would have been nice if they included the Cage match with Hogan/Beefcake vs. Savage/Zeus like “The Match/The Movie” PPV that aired.

    • Tony Kegger says:

The WWE Films are being shown on TV now so there’s no reason to buy them. The movies that have been shown on TV include Knucklehead, Inside Out, The Chaperone, That’s Who I Am, Legendary, Inside Out, No Holds Barred and Bending The Rules.

  7. Mr Disc says:

This is just WWE’s way to suck people into buying the DVD sets that every WWE DVD collector already owns again. Seems like they’re only Region 1 sets anyway so us in the UK wont be tempted.

    • Daniel Bee says:

In this day and age playing a Region 1 DVD in the UK is no big feat, but if you’re buying these sets for the ‘exclusive’ factor of having a figure inside who cares about playing them anyway. Lol. 🙂

      • Mr Disc says:

Unless you play your DVD’s in a Blu-Ray player cause there is no Region hack. What i meant was is that they’re only available in America it seems.

  8. SRB says:

Going to my bank this afternoon to take out a personal loan for the Rumbler sets. I already have those sets, but the figures are worth it!

    • Jimmy Luke says:

It is “WORTHLESS” if the figure is “NOT” associated with the DVD set.

Seriously? Jack Swagger worth being inside a CM Punk DVD Set (shown above) 🙁

      • SRB says:

Disagree. Not worthless to me. I just picked up a Rey Mysterio figure at the bottom of my Hogan cereal. Beat that Brother!

        • Jimmy Luke says:

By general, it is worthless given that (and the posted images above can tell). Most of the boxsets comes with “Nothing To Do”, “Not Equal” ,”Nonsense” Rumbler/DVD Set combination.

With the exception of that John Cena Rumbler in 50 most greates DVD set thats very catchy to a collector’s eyesight.

    • victory73 says:

I sure hope you are kidding about getting a loan to buy DVDs.

  9. Rob L says:

If I can find those Rumbler DVD sets I’m going to purchase all of them in one trip. I have a feeling they will be rare down the road.

    • Jimmy Luke says:

How I see from the posted images yesterday and today – the RARE ones are those Rumbler Figures associated with the corresponding DVD set. Its pretty common for Rumbler figures that are NOT associated with the DVD set (Really? Great Khali in Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels DVD Set shown above??).

  10. Dave says:

WM24 Blu Ray still being sold here in Gibraltar for £29.99. Picked it up today 🙂
