As we recently revealed here on the site, a new WWE DVD set entitled The WrestleMania Story will be released in 2011.
Now we can confirm it will released on 3-Disc DVD & 2-Disc Blu-ray on March 15th in North America. Here’s the first info:
It is the most anticipated yearly event in Sports Entertainment, an annual pop culture touch point. For more than 25 years, WrestleMania has hosted the biggest matches, the biggest stars, and the biggest celebrities.
Now for the first time ever, the story of WrestleMania is told from its early beginnings through the week-long spectacular it has become, routinely drawing fans from all 50 states and around the world. This documentary feature includes new and insightful interviews from the superstars and creative forces behind the event.
We can also exclusively reveal plans for upcoming WWE Blu-ray/DVD combo packs for March in North America. As of now the two events of Royal Rumble 2011 and Elimination Chamber 2011 will be released on Blu-ray/DVD combo packs. They will get single DVD editions too.
As for the Survivor Series 2010 Blu-ray to be released later this month, it’s on the schedule as a 1-Disc edition for USA/Canada.

Don’t like the idea of the Wrestlemania DVD in it’s whole, but I like the documentary idea.
There was already the “greatest superstars of wrestlemania DVD” and the wrestlemania anthology and other DVD releases of Wrestlemania. I already own all the wrestlemanias so why should I buy this for matches I already have (the famous ones in multiple sets too)
Why do they think it makes sense to make the Survivor Series Blu Ray like that? You have what might be considered the coolest Raw of the year, and this is the one they decide to not include. That makes no sense to me. It also pisses me off. Anyway, any word on the extras being included in the DVD/BluRay combos?
– Disc 1 should be the documentary = extras interviews/stories
– Disc 2 should be matches/events leading to Mania 1
– Disc 3 should be The entire Wrestlemania 1 event.
Here is a match listing I would want to see. I put in one match from each WrestleMania. There are a couple repeats here, but that’s evitable when you’re dealing with WrestleMania matches. Ultimately this would be a great set for casual WWE fans who don’t own too many DVDs.

WrestleMania 2 – The British Bulldogs vs. Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine

Finally, I been waiting for this. A Documentry on Wrestlemania. I hope they show backstage footage on planning the event, building the stage and everything else.

the Old School Raw should on the Survivor Series Blu-ray, its always the Raw before the PPV on the blu-ray
