The new DVD set follows Bischoff’s return (of sorts) to WWE earlier this year which saw over 2 hours of Bischoff-themed programming featured on the WWE Network streaming service.

  1. Roland Smitts says:

With the Bischoff set coming out, and WrestleMania season not too far away, that’s a lot of Hogan territory they’re going to have to cover. If I were WWE I’d make things right with the big man, fast. Otherwise they’re going to look pretty stupid trying to tell these stories without his name & image properly inserted.

  2. Jason says:

    More like:

Eric Bischoff – Sports Entertainment’s Most Controversial LIAR.

    • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

naaah.. he’s one of the 5 most controversial: along with Russo, Heyman, Turner and McMahon: The Masters of Manipulating Quintet.

And to some extend, the manipulation is a huge part of the magic all created.

But sure..there are lies everywhere..especially in this Twitter era. 😉

  3. RabidHeat says:

I can understand a single disc release. Hour-long documentary with some novelty matches/moments as extras. But no way is this worth a three-disc set.

    • RabidHeat says:

And what’s with the title? It’s a bit of a mouthful. Not to mention that I don’t think he’s exactly the “most controversial” figure there’s ever been in sports entertainment.

  4. me says:

He absolutely deserves it. More matches that can be shown than there could be for Heyman. This guy was on Nitro every week getting heat for years. Plenty to show.

    • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

While the matches that Heyman were involved in, definitely are -not- classics, I pick the few he had way way over the bunch of crap that the Bi(t)sch tried to do inside the squared circle.

Both should just have settled with what they are best at: running their mouth. But I absolutely anytime would pick for example Heymans funny Tuxedo match against Cornette way over for example Bischoff’s dreadful “match” against Austin or Teddy Long.

  5. RabidHeat says:

The Monday Night War DVDs cover Bischoff’s career in enough detail for me (even the 2004 one). This is a non-purchase for me.

  6. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Life says:

Excited to see, how they put this project together centering around the Bi(t)sch.. I really do not have the high expectations for this as with the fantastic Heyman bluray which more than delivered..

But if they make it a No Holdb Barred version with Russo, McMahon, Heyman and of course Eric himself in Anything Goes-mode, this could hopefully come up with some revealing angles and stories on well-known and unfamilar subjects.

Really not matches involving him in it, that I look forward to..more so, segments where he plays keyrole. We’ll see, what plays out, for the Return of the Bi(t)sch! 😉

  7. Paul Unwin says:

This guy should have his own podcast, certainly not a 3 dvd set though.
