Name & Release Date for WWE Scott Hall DVD Documentary

Back in October WrestlingDVDNetwork.com announced plans for a 2016 WWE Home Video release on Scott Hall, their first ever, complete with a documentary main feature.

EXCLUSIVE: WWE Planning 2016 DVD & Blu-Ray Documentary on Scott Hall…

We can all now consider that news CONFIRMED!

“Living on a Razor’s Edge – The Scott Hall Story” is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on July 4th, 2016 in the United Kingdom, and follows on July 5th, 2016 in the United States.

As we’ve previously noted the format of this one will be the classic Superstar-themed 3 disc DVD and 2 disc Blu-ray. On there you can expect to see a documentary on the WWE Hall of Famer, and of course a collection of his best matches and moments to go along with it.

The first synopsis for the set reads as follows:

A biography on the life and times of WWE Hall of Famer, Scott Hall.

Hear from the man himself, Scott Hall, as he candidly discusses his rise to wrestling fame, his decline with personal demons, and his attempt to get his life back while training his son to carry on his wrestling legacy.

  1. Todd Cash says:

A 2hr Documentary ain’t gonna happen folks…but however this turns out it will definitely be a first day purchase on Blu-ray…this and the us title dudley boys Bischoff and the true story of the royal rumble are gonna be good.

    • Anan says:

Agreed. To add to your gonne be good list, I’m adding Eric Bischoff doc (not a fan of his, but don’t see why it won’t be a goos story) and the NXT Greatest Matches Vol.1 as it’s a compilation involving the hottest thing in WWE right now. Even those no longer in WWE and those from other wrestling promotions praise NXT and state they watch it.

  2. Anan says:

WWE’s docs have been less than 2hrs so I see time dedicated to recently released docs being (around) the same time given to Scott Hall.

    Matches:
We’ll probably get his WWF debut match.
Some pre-WWF matches would be good.
Some WCW bouts would be nice.
I suspect we’ll get what was his last WM match against SC at WM18.

    What I want to see:
    Savage/Perfect vs Flair/Ramon – SSeries 92
vs Bret Hart – RR 93, KOTR 93
vs Ted DIbiase – SSlam 93
vs Owen Hart – KOTR 94 Final
vs Rick Martel – RAW for the vacant IC Title
    vs IRS – RR 94
    vs Diesel – Superstars 94, SSlam 96
    vs HBK – WM10, SSlam 95
    vs Jeff Jarrett – RR 95, WM11
his matches, both tagging with and going against 1-2-3 Kid
    vs Goldust – RR 96
    MSG 1996 Curtain Call
    HOF Induction
    Vignettes promoting his debut

  3. Alex murray says:

    Can’t wait!

  4. CMW says:

Hopefully they’ll throw in some AWA tag matches with Curt Henning. Maybe a Diamond Studd match?

  5. John says:

Scott Hall getting a DVD/Blu-Ray is a nice surprise, I thought he would never get his own set, I will be picking it up!

  6. me says:

It’s too bad people think this won’t be good. There is a lot to show. There is his pre-Razor days which most people including myself don’t know much about and haven’t seen much of, then there is the Razor years which includes many good Coliseum Video and tv matches they could show, then of course WCW with plenty of unreleased tv matches there too. And also Hall was a good promo and the early Razor vignettes were great. So there is a lot they could show. I don’t think the documentary portion will be too short. He had a long career.

  7. SCSA says:

    I would like to see;

    – Razor Vs Bret – Royal Rumble 1993
    – Razor Vs Rick Martel (IC) – RAW 1993
    – Razor Vs Shawn (Ladder Match) – SummerSlam 1995

    w/A 2hr Documentary 🙂

  8. Brad Attitude says:

Hopefully the documentary is near the 1.5 or 2 hour mark. And would like to see the SummerSlam 1995 ladder match over the WrestleMania X ladder match which has been repeated half a billion times. Wouldn’t mind seeing some of his Razor Ramon vignettes for the extras.

    • OverratedWolverine says:

Yeah if this doc is only 1 hour and 20 minutes I’m not buying it! And I’m making that statement without knowing anything about it!

  9. jason says:

Yea, the comments thus far are sucky.. well as for matches I’d hope we get some of razors very early matches he had a few vs undertaker he had some against 123 kid that haven’t been released loads of hbk matches unreleased and Jarrett as well. They could do his match vs sid there’s lots of early 90s wwf stuff but also stuff when he was in wcw first as diamond stud and his nwo/wcw run. People just don’t know, there’s lots of razor/hall stuff…. looking forward to this a lot hope they get creative with the matches

  10. LP1 says:

“A biography on the life and times of WWE Hall of Famer, Scott Hall.” Umm, nope. Not a Hall Of Famer. Razor Ramon is a HOFer, not Scott Hall. 😉

  11. Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Lifer says:

next year, I guess we will have to endure a Big Sexy release.. and problaly a X-pac/Syxx/Kid/123 Kid-release too..and then, ffs, can we then please call it for the Kliq, and focus on, i don’t know..say.. Rick Rude, Craziest Crazy Gimmicks, another Giant profile release since so many were left out in the cold with the first set, and other releases with focus on the so called mid- and undercard charachters that are being “forgotten”, but are just as much part of why WWE still exists today as the big boyz.

  12. Indyfan says:

Honestly outside of Bret vs Razor from RR. What are the worthwhile matches of his to own that aren’t already available?

  13. some guy says:

They better include his Wrestlemania X ladder match, OR I AM NOT BUYING

    • Erik says:

WWE has already put the ladder match from WrestleMania X on a lot of different DVD releases.

Obviously, the WrestleMania X ladder match will be included on this upcoming Scott Hall WWE DVD and Blu-Ray release.

Even if the ladder match from WrestleMania X wasn’t included on this upcoming Scott Hall WWE DVD and Blu-Ray release, I would still be buying the Blu-Ray version guaranteed.

      • RCS1988 says:

If they are going to include the Mania 10 ladder match, it should be the hard camera version. On Blu-ray of course. As for unreleased matches, they should include these.

Paul Roma vs. Scott Hall Ft. Meyers, FL January 23, 1990
It was his first tryout match with WWE.

Dustin Rhodes vs. the Diamond Studd Gainesville, GA August 12, 1991

Razor Ramon vs. Mr. Hughes Manhattan Center July 19, 1993

Razor Ramon vs. Yokozuna Lowell, MA August 18, 1993

Razor Ramon vs. Jerry Lawler Cincinnati, OH August 3, 1994

Diesel & Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels & Jeff Jarrett Stockton, CA March 13, 1995

Razor Ramon & Jake Roberts vs. the 1-2-3 Kid & Goldust Huntington, WV February 20, 1996

  14. VintageSimon says:

Didn’t Home Video once release a Razor Ramon VHS?

    • Daniel Bee says:

Not a Scott Hall one. 😉

    • Ruthless.Attitude.Eras.4Lifer says:

Big Daddy cool Diesel / Oooching machismo Razor Ramon – Tagged Classics DVD, 2010. Beat me to it.. but yeaah, guess Daniel is right.. its all about the Razor charachter in that one.. 🙂
